    Lama Temple (Yonghegong)
    Stop: 4 hours -
You will meet your guide and tuktuks at an easy-to-find central location near Beijing's Lama Temple and then wind your way through the narrow streets and alleys of Beijing's hutongs. We only try the best local food in the city at places where only locals go that are truly off the beaten path. You won't see any other tourists, these are family-run restaurants that you can't find on your own. Between food stops, you'll be able to chat with your English-speaking guide about the city while drinking unlimited local beer. While visiting our 4-5 food stops, you will get to learn about the families that have been making their specialties for generations. You'll learn how it's made and what makes it so special to Beijing locals. You will grill your own meat at a local BBQ joint, eat the best hand-made noodles in Beijing, and wrap delicious dishes in freshly made Beijing pancakes, plus more! The tour will finish at a local brewery with a pint of Beijing craft beer.

Due to the pandemic measures in place the tour has been slightly amended but we were thrilled to try the new restaurants proposed. The walking (for now too hard to get tuk tuks into some hutongs) was not too strenuous and as a result we felt much less guilty eating so much

Thank you so much for joining us in Beijing once again and we are honored to introduce you our local team's favorite eateries in our neighborhood! The Chengdu restaurant is also our founder, Ruixi's personal favorite, and I personally really loved the Chongqing Chaoshou dumplings! We are so glad to know that you loved the foods and enjoyed the evening with us. Thank you again for your support! We are looking forward to seeing you again soon on our tours!
