Private Half-Day Hong Kong Walking Tour
From US$85.25
Overview
With its spectacular skyline and legendary food scene, the former British colony of Hong Kong is one of Asia’s most beloved cities. But, this popular destination still holds some secrets. Skip the tourist sites on this insider’s walking tour, where you’ll discover eclectic neighborhoods like Statue Square and Cat Street Market—and get to know a side of the city that is usually reserved for locals.
What to Expect
Your guide will meet you at the Central MTR station, where you’ll get ready to begin your neighborhood walking tour. Skipping crowds of tourists at popular sites, you’ll be directed to under-the-radar attractions like Statue Square, a picturesque remnant of British-rule with its bust of Queen Victoria.
Enrich your experience of the city with your guide’s insider knowledge. Learning about the art of feng shui and the everyday lives of real Hong Kong residents, you’ll discover the city’s overlooked gems with visits to Cat Street Market—a treasure trove of antiques—and authentic eateries. Get a taste of traditional culture by browsing through a Chinese medicine market and load up on local delicacies at the city’s fresh food stalls.
During this quirky, off-the-beaten-track 4-hour tour, you’ll also take a ride on one of the world’s longest escalators. Your walk will be topped off with a visit to Man Mo, a one-of-a-kind 19th-century Taoist temple dedicated to the gods of literature.

Excellent Guide

This was a great tour, fun and informative. Our guide, Ivan, was excellent; we started from our hotel on Kowloon side and he led us across to the Island on the Star Ferry and we got a great overview of Central and surrounding areas.More
