We bought this activity through Isango. Whilst we experienced a few problems with the Singaporean agent it turned out to be a well organised visit. On arrival we were taken to the Ulu Ulu restaurant for a buffet dinner which had a reasonable selection of main dishes and desserts (drinks are an extra charge). Priority boarding of the tram is most definitely an advantage as the night we were there, hundreds were queuing. A very pleasant ride in the cool of the night viewing animals you may never see, such as the pair of white lions. Afterwards our tour guide offered a walk through the trails or you had the opportunity to take in the Creatures of the Night show.
An activity not to be missed for both adults and children.

The buffet has a solid mix of asian and veggie food with Dessert. you have about a hour for dinner then 2 hrs to explore the night safari before reboarding the bus at 10 pm. Having the priority to get you in fast and thru the tram lines save quite at bit especially on busy nights. We were there on Dec 29th.

Great to be up close to animals that are awake and active. In most other daytime tours they are sleeping or resting. Take the walking tour and try to find somewhere really quiet to appreciate the attraction at its best

Van driver who pick up my family was very rude guy. (Jan 25, 2020 from Conrad Hotel) His words, attitude, drive attitude were terrible. When he picked up another family from the other hotel, he had not unfold the very end seat. But right after he pick them up, he just started drive van. I had to yell him to stop and unfold the seat for them. It was totally unacceptable and unsafe. The family was compose with kid and pregnant wife. The family had to seat on the ground in the van until I yelled him to stop. He just stopped and get off and unfold the seat for them and said "sorry". That's it. I think this family does not speak English very well. So they could not fight for themselves.

We thought the van will drop us off at the Safari, however the van stop us at the bus stop. So asked the rude driver, I did not know we need to do in-transit. Then he said hotel pick up is complimentary. I felt like his words meant "shut up and go away"

However, zoo was okay. Food was not so fancy but acceptable. We didn't have to wait to ride on trem, comparing hours of line for whom does not have VIP pass. Safari was very dark and could not see the animal very well. But unique experience.
I would not recommend for young kids under 9.

This was the only bad thing happened to us during this Singapore family vacation.
I hope anyone have to see this van driver. I believe Tour East Singapore must find him and fire him before he make more trouble. He drove 14seater silver van.

I was advised to visit the Night Safari in Singapore by a former colleague who had previously been there. I decided to accept his suggestion as I had already been to the Night Safari in Chiang Mai and really enjoyed it. But to be honest I was a bit disappointed. Just to make it clear it was interesting as expected but differently from the one I saw in Thailand all different kinds of animals (even the harmless ones) are kept at distance from the tourists. It was also very dark that in some cases it was only possible to catch a glimpse of different animal species. Taking pictures was impossible due to the darkness.
Getting to Night Safari takes some time. Firstly you need to take the red Metro line and get off at Ang Mo Kio MRT station. Then you need to hit Exit C and go to the bus terminal and take Bus 138. By bus it takes around 45 minutes. At the end of the show, unless you wanna take a cab, you need to do the same way in reverse. Bear in mind it takes quite a long time to go back to Ang Mo Kio MRt Station. Once you are at Night Safari venue, I advise you to ask for the bus schedule to go back after the show just to make sure you can find one. Otherwise you might end up taking a taxi which can be kind of expensive.

I've been to the Night Safari a couple of times and it's always a good experience (save for the crowd and long queues, but then again, this can't be helped, it's tiny Singapore after all... )

The trams are a better and more comfortable option compared to the walking trails during the hotter months such as April - May. The live commentary on the tram is in English, but you can always pay a little more for the multilingual trams. During cooler months (such as December - Feb), it may be nice to walk along the trails at your own pace.

The Creatures of the Night show is always an absolute delight, but the content hasn't changed much from 3-4 years ago when I visited the Night Safari with my friends. The queue for the show can get long quickly, so make sure you arrive at the entry point at least 20 minutes before the show start time, if you want to get a good seat.

To get there by Public Transport, take the MRT to (NS4/BP1) Choa Chu Kang Station, and switch to Bus 927. Alternatively, take a taxi and it shouldn't cost you more than SGD 30.

Me and my wife went for the night tour on a Friday night. Our tour guide was great and very helpful but the food was not good. I would pay to skip the line again happily but I would not eat there again. I got sick from the food and spend the evening with a very upset tummy.
In saying that the food was not under the control of the tour company and was actually the responsibility of the night safari park.

very badly organised, unbelievably crowded, we were told tour was 6 pm to 1130pm. We were picked up at 6 but then driven to a collecting place where all their buses met, and stood in the heat and humidity for quite a long time before being put on a second bus and not arriving at the safari area until after 7.30pm. Taking 1.5 hours for a half our drive. we arrived so late we had to rush dinner very little time to eat, buffet was very disappointing food selection, crowded, no time to eat, and no drink included. We didn't even have a minute to go to the toilet before rushing through crowds to the safari tram which was not 45 mins, took more like 25 mins. After that were 2 shows, the fire show was very disappointing and the show we did want was fully booked so we couldn't see it, so we rushed around in the dark, heat and humidity and couldn't see most of the animals before we had to literally run back to the bus by 1030. We saw almost nothing, couldn't eat much dinner, unbelievable crowds, and the show we wanted was fully booked before we arrived so no chance to see it. This wasted an entire evening in Singapore. I contacted tour east via the travel agent and they were not interested in an apology or even a partial refund.

We have visited before several years ago and I always wanted to return. We made it this time, booked before we left UK, and we had a car drop us off and pick us up from hotel
Still delightful, not disappointed well worth it.
There is a lot of controversy about Zoo's but the breeding programme they undertake to preserve endangered animals needs to be funded and this helps.
It makes you realise how important it is to get these beautiful creatures back to their natural environment.
This is a well organised, compassionate Zoo. Everyone who goes love's it. The bus trip around the site is very informative and the stroll around after is great fun.
The show is fun and the food in the food courts is good value.
Will definitely go back again.

I was picked and dropped off at my hotel. We started with the buffet dinner which was OK, and went directly to the tram for the safari. That night, the queues did not seem very long, so our priority boarding was not much of an advantage.

The safari was interesting, almost as good as the ones I went on at Kruger National Park in South Africa. Well worth the time and the money.
