Meet your guide upon hotel pickup in Nadi and relax during the approximate 43-mile (70-km) drive to Sigatoka, located on the southern coast of Viti Levu. Situated on the banks of the Sigatoka River, the small town boasts a famous market where locals barter and sell a variety of produce.
Your guide can introduce you to tropical fruits, kava root, seafood and spices as well as local goods such as tamarind paste and coconut oil. You’ll also have help bargaining with local merchants at handicraft outlets and identifying authentic crafts such as wood carvings, ceramics, woven mats and cloth. Search for traditional Fijian products such as medicine oil blends and lotions infused with tropical scents.
