Monuments of Shkoder
I visited Shkoder in northern Albania not knowing what to expect. Among many highlights, the best was Florian! He led a small group of five or six and showed us Mesi Bridge and Rofaza Castle. Having just come from the beautiful but crowded Mostar, Dubrovnik, and Kotor, Florian’s tour was a breath of fresh air. Two stunning sites with a small group, authentic and knowledgeable guide, and no crowds! Rofaza was a particular highlight - we wandered the stone ruins at sunset, virtually with the place to ourselves, and a spectacular view of the city lights of Shkoder in the valley below. Thank you Florian for some terrific memories.

Hiking in the Albanian Alps
We really enjoyed our trip! We planned everything only one day in advance and Florian was very helpful and spontaneus. The Guesthouse in Shkoder is lovely and serves really good food! The Transfers to Valbona and from Teth back to Shkoder were well organized. Also the guesthouses in Valbona and Teth were very nice and the hosts lovely, and a lot of fresh food was served. It can get cold at night! The beds are not very confortable but I guess that is part of the whole mountain experience. We would totally recommend this trip!!

Great way to explore the North Albania Alps!
I booked this tour by the guesthouse florian. He was very helpful and arranged the whole trip. Normally the trip start at Theth and then walking to Valbonë but because I had the bus the next day, Florian tailored the trip, I started at the Koman lake and Valbone. The buses were on time, I stayed by to lovely family guesthouses. Traditional food, great views and cozy bedrooms. I recommend this trip!

3 day hiking tour from Theth to Valbona & lake Komani
Everything was well organised by Florian. A taxi picked us up at the hotel and then we drove through a beautiful scenery to Theth. There we slept for 1 night in a very nice guesthouse with friendly owners. Next morning the hiking tour begins to Valbona at the other side of the valley. There we slept another night in a guesthouse. Next morning there is a transfer to lake Komani where you take the ferry for a very nice boattrip. The roads in this area of Albania are very bad, so it's much easier to book an organised tour.

Fabulous — One of the Highlights of Albania
I never thought I would have such a wonderful opportunity to learn how to prepare Albanian cuisine in a family’s home. The food was every bit as delicious as you'd find in any Mediterranean country, with a touch of Eastern influence to enhance its character. The setting was the family's lovely, tranquil garden, filled with vegetables, fruits, vines, and a few friendly chickens. Emanuela is a professional chef who prepares dinner every night in the outdoor kitchen, cooking traditional dishes from ingredients grown by her family. It was one of the highlights of our time in Albania and a truly perfect evening in every way. Very highly recommended!

Highly recommended
I arrived in Shkoder without an itinerary because I find that locals are the best source of information. By the end of my first day, I had lots of information and a list of recommended places of interest and things to do in Albania (thank you, Florian)! North Albania Tours inspired my interest in many places and offer various tours and activities - from Albanian cookery classes, cheese tasting, cheesemaking, wine tasting, horseback riding, hiking and boat trips, etc. They're professional, friendly and considerably flexible so you can comfortably ask to customize your interests in many ways... for example, there is the option to do an afternoon trip if you arrived late, missed the start of the tour, or are not a 'morning person' ;) Very important to note: You can look forward to positive and patient planning, fair service and a pleasant experience.

Great arranged tour. Lots for your money.
We were a bit late to arrange our day hike between Theth and Valbona. With just one days notice Florian of North Albania Tours helped us arrange everything including transportation to Theth from Shkoder in the afternoon (normal start time is early morning). We had made a reservation for the night in Valbona beforehand and Florian could adjust to this. All in all he was very accommodating to us. The guest house in Theth was wonderfully located in the middle of the Alps and the landlady was very nice. Very genuine feeling. Transportation from Valbona to ferry and from ferry to Shkoder was flawless. Florians hostel is also a very nice family style guest house with lovely yard and pleasant host. Florian takes time to socialise with his guests, look out for that home made wine! All in all a great deal if you wish to do the hike between Theth and Valbona. Accommodations were not luxurious but felt at one with the surroundings. Thanks!

Northern Albania
Visiting Northern Albania was a wonderful experience and Florian was amazing at organizing most of my trip. All of the recommendations he gave me for hiking and spending time in the cities were excellent. I was in Albania for little under a month and would have been fairly lost without a tour. 6/5 stars.

North Albania tours with Florian
Northern Albania is among the most exciting areas in the whole Europe, and definitely worth exploring more than just for a couple of days. Florian seems to know the area very well and was able not only to arrange a very well organised trip (we went to Theth, Albanian Alps, Koman lake and also around Shkoder). Moreover, he provided us with most fascinating information about the resent history of Albania, as well as about north Albanian culture. With him (family run guest house) and his contacts we were able to enjoy amazing Balkan hospitality! Happy to recommend him!

Tour of Shkoder and surrounding highlights (castle, bridge, lake, etc)
Florian is an excellent guide with great knowledge of Shkoder and the surrounding areas of northern Albania. I took an enjoyable group tour around Shkoder with him, taking in views of the city and mountains at sunset from Rosafa castle, visiting the nearby lake and an old Ottoman bridge outside the city. Floarian is a wealth of knowledge about Albanian history and customs. He also has great connections for arranging tours and accommodation in the Albanian alps. A visit to Shkoder wouldn't be complete without one of Florian's tours. Highly recommended!

Unforgettable 2 night hiking trip from Theth to Valbona
Florian (owner of the company) arranged everything for the trip from Shkodra (transfers, guesthouses, dinners and breakfasts, scenary ferry etc.) and answered to all of our questions with patiency. The trip was unforgettable! The views were amazing in Theth and Valbona and especially during the hike. We are Sunday walkers and the hike took 9,5h with 2-3 hours of breaks. We also had time in first day in Theth do to a shorter hike to waterfall. We lived in guesthouses/homestays kept by locals and saw how locals are living and had very good local food. Very authentic and unforgettable experience! Everyone visiting Albania should do this trip. Thank you Florian! - Juulia and Jesse
