Excellent tour to Seymour Island arranged by Guiding Galapagos
Guiding Galapagos arranged an outstanding tour for us to Seymour Norte Island! This agency helped us plan our itinerary while in the Galapagos and handled all logistics for a worry-free experience each day. From the tour briefings provided in their Puerto Ayora office and outfitting us with high quality snorkeling gear, Stephanie, Daniel and Omar are all top-notch! This agency seems to work with the best tour providers on Santa Cruz as every tour we went on used quality boats, and especially crews and guides. Our day trip to Seymour Island involved a fascinating nature walk on the island where we were able to get up close to view birds and iguanas endemic to the Galapagos. Most amazing was viewing frigate birds and blue-footed boobie mating rituals, nesting birds and even a few recently born. The snorkeling activity was also wonderful led by a super guide. We thoroughly enjoyed all of our tours in the Galapagos, arranged by Guiding Galapagos and highly recommend this agency! Kudos to Stephanie and staff, especially Omar and Daniel!

Wonderful day at Sante Fe Island
Guiding Galapagos arranged an exceptional tour experience to Sante Fe Island. The agency staff, boat crew and guide were all super! A wonderful day snorkeling with a colony of sea lions and schools of colorful fish. Plus a beach walk and a super lunch provided on board. Guiding Galapagos staff provided us a worry-free day so that we could enjoy ourselves. I highly recommend Guiding Galapagos and the Sante Fe tour.

Outstanding Floreana Island tour by Guiding Galapagos staff
Outstanding tour to Floreana Island for snorkeling and beach walking. Top-notch crew on the speedboat with our guide, Susie, provided exceptional service. Two terrific snorkeling sessions. Swam with beautifully graceful sea turtles saw many large colorful starfish and schools of tropical fish. The fish lunch prepared on board rivaled a quality restaurant. Guiding Galápagos staff handled all arrangements in a superb manner. Stephanie was instrumental in helping us plan our Galapagos itinerary and provided excellent guidance in helping us select tours during our stay. Omar and Daniel were outstanding in providing us with tour briefings, outfitting us with quality snorkel equipment, and handling all the logistics for every tour. I highly recommend Guiding Galapagos for tour arrangements!

      The best tour in Galapagos!
I went in February along with a friend of mine. And overall it was an amazing experience! not only the tour guide was nice and knowledgeable about the wildlife of the island but also very funny easy to talk to! He took us to beautiful spots in Galapagos islands. If you have a chance to take a tour with him please do it!

This tour was FANTASTIC ! It was a private tour. My mom and I were picked up at our hotel and taken to 3 spots in the highlands; tortoise conservatory, sinkholes and an underground tunnel cave. Yazmany was our guide and he was extremely passionate about the Galapagos which made everything a lot more enjoyable. He also took a lot of pictures for us. The nature and landscapes in the highlands are beautiful!

      Snorkeling, hiking and beautiful views!
My mom and I are so happy we booked this excursion. We only had one day to dedicate to San Cristobal and we knew if we tried to do it on our own we would not be able to see everything. David, our guide, was fantastic!! He brought us to two different snorkeling spots, we swam with sea lions and saw several sea turtles. We saw kicker rock and a couple of beautiful beaches. Then our excursion ended with a delicious lunch at a local restaurant!

      National Geographic quality experience
Really loved this tour. Guiding Galapagos could not have been better. They went above and beyond the other tour companies by providing higher quality, pre- fitted snorkel gear , and walking us to and from the boat. One of my friends used another company and did not get near the service we had from Guiding Galapagos. The boat ws older , but clean and well laid out with 2 big Johnson 200hp outboards. Boat staff was worked to make sure everyone was comfortable and happy. Snorkel guide made Sur everyone saw everything and was safe, though his English was at times very hard to understand. Would have enjoyed more scientific knowledge on all the wildlife . High waves did not permit us to land on the beach in Santa Cruz, but that just gave us more snorkel time in Santa Fe. Snorkeled with all kinds of fish , Galapagos sharks, and sea lions. From anchor on boat saw manta rays ( one even jumped ), a large group of spotted eagle rays, and many more sharks. One of the highlights was observing not just one, but four Galapagos Hawks. We even got to see them mating. Also saw blue footed boobies, brown noddies, frigate birds, Galapagos Dove, and more. Lunch was one of the best I have ever had served aboard a tour. Note: you are not allowed to land on the beach at Santa Fe, but everything you want you see, other than plant life is in the water and we got to see.

      Amazing Experience
We used Guiding Galapagos for 4 different excursions on our recent stay based in Puerto Ayora and I cannot say enough good things about our experience ! From start to finish , everything was handled expertly by the friendly staff, allowing for seamless adventures each day of our stay. First of all, Stephanie was extremely helpful in planning and scheduling our excursions prior to our arrival . She was prompt in replying to emails and also allowed us flexibility due to recent events on mainland Ecuador - which ended up being a nonissue , as our trip was as safe and secure as any we have taken elsewhere. Upon arrival in the Galapagos, we were in the kind and capable hands of island office staffers Omar and Daniel who could not have been more helpful and friendly. They personally led us to our boat each morning , guiding us seamlessly through the organized chaos on the pier and met us back at the pier each afternoon to welcome us back and inquire about our days adventures. We have traveled quite a bit and I can honestly say this tour company is one of the best we have encountered anywhere in the world. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone and will gladly utilize them again when we most certainly return to the Galapagos ! Muchas Gracias to Stephanie , Omar and Daniel , as well as to all our wonderful guides . You all made our stay the amazing adventure it was !

      Disappointing and overpriced
We were disappointed as it was one of our more expensive excursion but it didn’t feel like it. The office staff were good. However, the snorkeling lasted only an hour and the boat ride was crowded with no place for gear etc. although we did see sea tortoises and penguins, the snorkeling wasn’t particularly good re the fish. The snorkeling portion felt really crowded. I think there were about 16 others on the boat. We didn’t see the wetlands advertised. Our “wetlands tour” was a 100 m, 5 minute walk right beside the boat station which we could have seen on our own. We saw two flamingos. I was expecting a more extensive walk given that the wetlands are something Isabella is known for. We did see the coconut beach but it was during lunch. The lunch was good though. Our guide wasn’t particularly engaged with us. The tortoise breeding centre isn’t as nice as some of the others we’ve seen. I would probably skip it going to the turtle breeding centre. The one on San Cristobal is much better. It felt like the tour was outsourced to a number of different operators and wasn’t the experience we were hoping for.

Amazing 12-Day Trip Designed by Guiding Galapagos!!!!
We used Guiding Galapagos to help us plan and execute a 12-day trip of a lifetime!! In our travels before this, we had done all of our own planning and reservations. After we heard about Guiding Galapagos, a local company based in the Galapagos from friends who recommended them, we contacted them for help with planning. Stephanie was wonderful to work with. She was personal, professional and had many excellent suggestions. She asked us what our priorities were and if there we had concerns or limitations with any aspects of travel. Stephanie and Guiding Galapagos put together an amazing trip including hotels on 3 islands and daily excursions on each island. Guiding Galapagos knew the best places to stay and reserved space with the best boats and guides for the day excursions. Having exceptional boats and guides makes a huge difference in one’s experience in the Galapagos. They used their inside knowledge to make excellent decisions on our behalf. Daily they would make sure we were guided to the various tour sites as well as checked in with us to see how everything was working. They were also accessible for any questions while there. We can’t thank them enough for making the whole trip a fantastic experience. We can heartily recommend them to anyone looking to visit the Galapagos.

      Incredible underwater experience
First we were taken to the Hidden beach on Santa Cruz, where there were many iguanas. The beach was pristine and we had the chance of a short swim, while the pelicans and other seabirds dived for fish. Thenon to Santa Fé island where the first snorkel was like swimming through an aquarium- so many fish of all colours, shapes and sizes. After a snack, the second snorkel took us to a different part of the island, where a colony of sea lions were basking on the beach and the rocks. Our guide took us to the shallows near the rocks where we were mobbed by baby sea lions dancing and playing round us. A few tried to nibble our fins! Wonderful! The lunch on board was delicious before returning back to Puerto Ayora. A really memorable day!

      Galapagos Guiding Expeditions the Best
Our tour was set up by Daniel, at Galapagos Guiding Expeditions. We stopped by the office and he explained our options for tours. He was very clear about what we could expect and we felt no pressure from him. We returned that afternoon and booked our tour. We met up with Oscar at GGE office . He was also English speaking, and took care of trip details, including snorkeling gear and wet suit. The equipment was very good. The guide on the boat, Jimmy, was fun and informative. Lunch ( cooked chicken and fish) and snacks in AM , was very good. Daniel continued to answer our questions re: tours from Isabella and other questions. He was patient and got back to us very quickly. Highly recommend Daniel and Galapagos Guiding Expeditions.

A very memorable trip to Pinzon
We had an amazing trip to Pinzon with some of our best snorkeling to date, including close encounters with sea lions, sea turtles, blue footed boobies and even a marine iguana feeding under water, which was very cool to witness. The whole tour was handled in a very professional manner and our excellent guide Yazmany was both informative and entertaining. He also captured tons of high quality videos and photos which he kindly shared with all guests later, which was a great added value. Out of all day tours we did in the islands this was probably the best managed, so I do strongly recommend booking your tours with these guys!

Before the tour started we were briefed on what to expect during the day and what additional payments we will need to make.
We were met with a local guide at Isabela island and first half of the tour was at Tintorera islet. We decided not to snorkel as we were not well. They took us around the island to view more animals while other went for snorkelling. That was a nice gesture by the tour company as we didn't feel as if we are just waiting around on the boat for the others.

I booked this tour with Guiding Galapagos. The departing location is right in "downtown" Santa Cruz very close to the dock. This is a long day, but worth it to me to see Isabela Island from Santa Cruz. The Islet was wonderful with many species to observe there. We were then given the opportunity to snorkel. After that, we were taken to a local restaurant on the beach where we were served a traditional Ecuadorian lunch with a choice of meat for the entree. We then toured the tortoise project on the island and walked through the wetland area to see the flamingos. Finally, we made our way back to the dock for the ride back to the taxi boat. The path back passes many, many iguanas which were a lot of fun to see! It was then time to take a rest on the speedboat back to Santa Cruz. Try to get a seat up top or in the back for maximum ventilation! The sun is strong there.

We did three tours with Guiding Galapagos. Unlike other tours, GG provides excellent wetsuits and snorkeling equipment. Their guides are awesome, and their customer service is incredible. We enjoyed all three tours. Each guide provided a high-level of knowledge and expertise. GG employs people who truly care about the experience of the customer. Stephanie, Yasmani and Omar are incredibly conscientious and really are invested with the satisfaction of their customers. You certainly can’t go wrong booking with these people. They are amazing!

Amir and team were great. They made sure we had proper fitting snorkel suit and gear and helped each step of the way, getting us to the speed boat to Isabel island. The 2hr boat ride is pretty rough, take Dramamine and sit towards the back if you’re prone to motion sickness (I am). Saw some marine iguanas and sea lions on the short hike, then it was off to snorkel (30-40 mins of snorkel time). Swam with a turtle, white tipped sharks and beautiful aquatic animals. Afterwards, we toured a turtle facility and were driven to the flamingo moor.

Guides, gear and snorkel excursions were spectacular. Had to knock off a star because after the snorkeling, the excursion felt really rushed. We had 15 mins at the turtle facility and 10 mins to see the flamingos (to be fair, it was not the season for flamingos so there were only a handful present). I wanted the hiking experience to see the birds (and other flora, fauna) but maybe we were running late? Either way, it felt really rushed.

We did the tour to Pinzon Island. Yazmani led the tour and he was great! I had a last minute family emergency and Yazmani was very acccommodating in making the necessary changes. On the tour, I found that Yazmani to be very knowledgeable of the history of the land, the water and the animals. He knew what to expect in every area, I felt safe and protected and Yazmani made sure we knew where to explore in order to make the most of seeing sea lions, sea turtles and baby sharks safely. The yacht we traveled on was clean and spacious, the food on board was great and the crew was professional and friendly. I would definitely recommend this tour to others and would suggest traveling with Yazmni!

I thought this day trip was quite expensive compared to other day trips I have done in Ecuador. Organisation on Santa Cruz was very good but on Isabela Island there was confusion after the snorkeling as to where I was going next. The guide looking after me on Isabela spoke very little English.

Thank you for taking the time to write this review. Tours on Galapagos can generally not be compared with Tours on Ecuador's mainland; it is a completely different price level, the same applies for the costs of living, salaries, etc. on Galapagos vs. Ecuador's mainland. We apologize if there was any confusion after the tour, however, according to our guide all parts of the tour took place as planned. Unfortunately in Galapagos not everyone is completely fluent in English, but people try their best to improve :)

Overall: really good, not great. Important to know that conditions are unpredictable. And the boat ride is intense (read much more detail below)

Seeing the wildlife was very cool but wanted to provide some transparency.
The boat: it’s a short taxi boat on both ends and a 2 hour “ferry” boat ride to Isabela on open water. The water is rough at baseline so bring anything you need to combat seasickness. And the boat is transport for anyone going to Isabela, not just your your group. So be prepared for a full boat of around 30 people, some of whom won’t have this info and won’t be prepared for seasickness.
The wildlife: you spend less than 4 hours snorkeling, walking (not hiking), and seeing wildlife. You also spend 4 hours on a boat, so keep that in mind. We saw plenty of ocean wildlife but visibility wasn’t great because of the current on that day. You can’t predict that so prepare for limited visibility but beautiful fish (and sharks and turtles too). The walk includes a shark grotto and, because of climate change and the time of year, we didn’t see many because the water is just too warm. Nothing we could do to change but important to keep in mind. Lastly, to see flamingos there are only 500 left on the island so the odds of seeing a lot are limited and we only saw 3. The viewing area also limits how close you can get so don’t expect to get very close as the marsh boundary is pretty far away. Don’t expect a whole mass but nothing we or they can control. they are still beautiful. A great part: the guides really want to show you wildlife so they will try to seek it out for you.
Overall: keep in mind that guiding Galapagos is a coordinating group that makes your life easy. They are NOT leading the tour but coordinating your boats and finding people on Isabela to guide you. So you will likely be with people that booked from other agencies.

Wow- what an experience! Omar reached out to us the day prior to stop by the office for a briefing and fitting.

The next cat morning he escorted us through the screening lines, water taxi and to the ferry.

Once on Isabella, his colleague greeted us and showed us the island. We started with seeing penguins and blue footed bobbies right in the bay. Then moved to a hike to see all kinds of iguanas, birds, and sharks. Then we moved onto a snorkel to see the sharks chilling in shark alley where we got to play with a sea lion!!

We returned to the mainland and had a delicious lunch at The Beach Restaurant before heading to see Flamingos and a tortoise reserve.

The tour guides, wet suits, snorkeling gear, and lunch were all very high quality. We loved the entire day!

We absolutely loved this day trip!

The speedboat took around 2 hours each way but it was so worth it! Brilliantly organised throughout, in a group of 8. We saw everything we wanted to see (although just 1 Flamingo!)

    Great spot to snorkel.

Seeing the sea lion colony play was absolutely amazing, and the food / guides were all brilliant.
