Yes, getting dumped into a class 4 or 5 rapid is scary, very scary, but making it through a rapid is exhilarating. I was probably the most afraid as I fell out on the first big rapid and was afraid to fall out again. BUT it was also really fun. Our guide KayJ and "security team"

Lots and lots of rapids. BOYD our guide was a legend! Lots of fun - DEFINITELY WORTH IT! Just wear plenty of sunscreen all over. I’d also suggest a long arm rash vest (ones surfers use) and a costume long enough to cover your knees.

Dear 115deanb, Thank you for rafting with Captian Boyd and our whitewater team with Safpar on the mighty Zambezi River. We are all thrilled to hear you had a great time with our passionate team. A long sleeve rash vest is an excellent item to bring on our rafting trips. We encourage guests to bring quick drying light clothes, a long sleeve cotton shirt is a great idea if you haven’t got a rash vest. It is also vital that guests bring good footwear, trainers are ideal. The hike into and out of the Batoka Gorge to access the sections of the river on which we raft. Is demanding and can be the most challenging part of the day. While you don’t need to be an extreme athlete the ability to do these hikes is an indication of the fitness levels necessary to enjoy your rafting experience. Thank you for rafting with us once again, Take care on your travels, Safpar.
