We went to the show as part of a dinner and show package. The theatre is quite small and comfortable enough. The show was certainly very lively and varied, with colourful costumes, and entertaining dancers and exciting acrobatic moves. The band was good too. However, I found the whole thing very confusing as there was no commentary to tell us what was actually going on - no description of the narrative when a story was being told, and no announcement of which dances were actually being performed. It was all a bit noisy and ‘wham bam’. In many ways, I wished we had skipped the show and just gone to a bar which had dancing

No samba lessons as advertised. Many drunk patrons yelling, distracting during songs and dances; I complained to the management who did nothing about it. I asked for a refund and was denied. We've been to shows all over the world. This was by far the worst. While there were some impressive and talented performers, the atmosphere and attitude of the employees ruined the experience. For over $100 USD/ticket, we expected at least a place where we wouldn't have to leave early for fear of the rowdy drunks and beligerant patrons. Stay away. Stay away, indeed!

An excellent show. I believe it shows a snapshot of the history of Brazil through dances. It would be nice if there is a short description of every dance projected on the side of the stage during each performance. This way the audience will appreciate the performance even more.
Still, it is a great show.

Booked tickets at ticket booth, after Uber from Copacabana Hotel (cheapest Option); Great intimate show, though venue conditions could be improved (very musty). Samba lesson not to write home about. Artists were spectacular though. Interactive was invited to join in on stage at end.

We saw this show 4 years ago, when it was still in club on a dance floor. They are now in a theater which was nice. The show flies through the history of different regions and time periods in Brazil. My husband is Brazilian and was able to elaborate on some details. I suppose it would be nice for other visitors to know what they were seeing though - like a little introduction before each number. But, maybe that would disrupt the pace of the show.

But it was a lot of fun with lots of energy!

Our group arrived a little late so we missed the beginning and any introduction if there was one. The theater is small so everyone is pretty close to the stage. Some of the dancers come down into the aisles at times. The dancers are energetic and seemed to be enjoying their performances. There were many costume changes, all of which were pretty elaborate.

I see this as the type of touristy thing that you have to do once while traveling and this show was better than many other activities aimed at tourists.

A wonderful show that started with warm-up dance lessons to loosen up the guests and continued with the performance of the many dances and cultures of Rio de Janeiro and ended with all the guests on the stage dancing with the performers. The show was very energetic and entertaining!

This is a show that you need to see when in Rio for the experience, but have mixed feelings here. The show is quite expensive, so expectations are quite high. It goes for 2 hours, and is entertaining and fast paced, but also quite corny. At the end, they invite people to go on the stage to join in. They don't let It you take photos, and they watch you like a hawk to enforce it, which is a bit disappointing. This is so they can sell you a reasonably poor quality photo they take of you before the show starts for R25. Am I glad I saw it? Yes. Would I go again? No.
