Bruno is super knowledgeable and makes this tasting experience very enjoyable! I would recommend visiting Trapan to anyone who likes wine even a little bit.

Irena rather than Bruno hosted us and gave us the Trapan story and provided a short explanation for each organic wine. I think Bruno the winemaker typically hosts the visits so I can’t comment on his performance. We sat on the terrace for the duration, and were given plenty of time to savour each wine. It was all very relaxed. We got lucky as we were the only people who’d booked for that slot (unusual from what could gather) so we had all of Irena’s attention. Her English was excellent. Another party arrived later on to buy some wine and a good chat followed which made the visit all the more interesting. If you’re looking for a tour of a vineyard or a look at the manufacturing process, this isn’t for you. But if you want to hear about the process, the people behind it all and taste top quality organic wines then book now. I just wish you could buy Trapan wines in the UK! We went by bus from Pula which involved a bit of a walk at the end. We returned by taxi with our box of wines. We will keep any eye out for news of Trapan wines - they’re only going to get bigger.
