    What to Expect
Make your own way to the Baba Nyonya Heritage Museum in time for your tour departure (depending on option selected) and follow your guide on a 45-minute tour of the museum.

Learn how the historic building was home to a Peranakan Chinese (Baba Nyonya) family from 1861 until 1985, and how it was established as a museum to preserve their unique cultural heritage. Along the way, admire the beautiful architecture, antique furnishings, and cultural artifacts, and gain a fascinating insight into life in late 19th-century and early 20th-century Malaya.

Old lady receptionist was extremely rude and racist. Seeing that my family conversed in Mandarin, she condescendingly told us that the guided tour only has English option. She was disrespectful and her attitude was appalling. Wouldn’t recommend a visit.

We were on a tight schedule and didn’t have long, but we were glad we visited. A real insight into life in that time and it was made relevant/real with the links to the current family. Well worth RM$16. If we were there for longer, we would have taken the tour.
