Overview
Food is one of Shanghai’s great joys. But if you’re unfamiliar with the city’s culinary scene, it can be hard to figure out where to eat. On this food tour, feast on local favorites like dumplings, noodles, duck, and mango pudding, then stroll the waterfront and enjoy a nighttime Huangpu River cruise. And because it’s a private tour, you’ll have plenty of time to ask questions.
What to Expect
Greet your guide in central Shanghai and head straight out to a street food stall for traditional Shanghai bites. Stop at selected places to savor “xiaolongbao” soup dumplings, pan-fried dumplings, wontons, roast duck, noodles, spring rolls, and mango pudding.
Sated, explore the city on foot. Stroll towards the Bund past the Yuyuan Bazaar and admire the lights on skylines colonial and modern as your guide explains the history of Shanghai. Then board a riverboat and cruise through those dramatic cityscapes amid the Shanghai night.
Your tour finishes at the Huangpu River cruise dock, where your guide will help you get a taxi back to your hotel.

Yes, the pace was leisurely. The locations are relatively close together. We had dishes from three restaurants over a little less than 2 hours. I would expect that the guide will adjust for your wishes! Enjoy!
