Had a wonderful private city tour experience, the guide from Greenway tours was very professional and had excellent communication skills, the tour was part walking and part driving, it was a good 4 hour tour with the mixture of visits to museum, architecture and city tour. My daughter enjoyed history and buttefly garden visits. would highly recommend this tour especially if traveling with children, had a pleasant experience...

What a fantastic tour of San Jose! Mario, our tour guide, picked us up at our hotel right on time and proceeded to give us a driving/walking tour of the city of San Jose. He was incredibly knowledgeable about the area and history of the city and the country! The 2 museums we visited were packed with local history and artifacts, while the lunch we ate was very authentic. If you have a day to spend in San Jose, you can’t go wrong with this tour! Would definitely do it again.

This was a lovely little tour of Costa Rica's capital city and a great glimpse into the general history of the country. Our small group was able to cover most of the main sights, like the Plaza de la Democracia, the National Theatre, the Pre-Columbian Gold Museum, the National Museum, and the Metropolitan Cathedral of San José. The meal at the end of the tour was absolutely delicious, and worth the tour alone. Michael, our tour guide was super, very kind and accommodating. ¡Muchas gracias!

OUr guide, Mario, was fabulous. He was incredibly knoweldgeable and passionate aobut sharing information about the city. He knew a lot of history and was able to bring to life the culture of the city. We also had a great lunch!

Excellent way to start our visit to San José! I booked this tour for myself and my twin boys (10 y/o) as a way to start our time in SJ. Mario, our tour guide, was incredibly knowledgeable and thorough, as well as entertaining for the boys. We visited the Teatro Nacional, the Museo del Oro and the Museo Nacional. Mario know so much about Costa Rican history, that we left the tour feeling like we learned so much about this beautiful country. Mario's tour company offers dozens of tours, and I would absolutely book them again!

Our tour guide Alberto was very knowledgeable about history and culture of Costa rica. This was a perfect way to end our week trip to this beautiful country. Our guide answered our many questions and told interesting stories about CR. We enjoyed the walking, the museum, and the traditional meal.

Alberto was a fabulous guide and took his time to answer all our questions with a smile and insight. My guide was not only knowledgeable and passionate about his country but he also made the tour fun and entertaining. I learned so much about Costa Rica’s history, it’s coffee culture and how it became one of the first countries without an army. During the half-day tour, we visited historic buildings like the stunning Teatro Nacional, modern museums filled with interactive exhibits like the Jade Museum and walked through some of San José’s most iconic and interesting neighborhoods. Mario, my guide, shared with me an insider’s view of San José and I was able to discover some of the city’s hidden gems. I loved that I was able to tailor the tour to fit my specific interests.
What really impressed me about this company was their willingness to go above and beyond. I was flying from Tamarindo to San José with limited time and they offered to pick me up at the airport instead of at the hotel to start the tour. My flight then got canceled last minute and I called them at 7am to let them know I did not know how or when I would get to San José. I was traveling solo and they were not only understanding but incredibly helpful and recommended a bus service from Tamarindo so I could get to San José and picked me up at the bus station 5 hours later than the original plan. They then modified the tour to make the best of our limited time and the fact that we had to do the tour in the afternoon instead of the morning. They were fantastic and helped out and above all showed me how amazing Ticos can be! They really cared about making my time in Costa Rica wonderful.

Our guide was very good and quite well informed. We got a lot just listening to him talk of the country. We were picked up at our hotel, then drove into town. Unfortunaltly as bad as traffic is and the fact we were out by the airport cut down on our time in town. Gerardo did a great job explaining displays in the museum and in reagrds to the National Theater. Lunch was at a local restaurant in town and was very good.

Wow, definitely one of the best tours we've been on! Mario was an amazing tour guide filled with so much knowledge and very transparent. He is super friendly and took us to see all the popular sites in San José. He was also very punctual with the tour schedule that allowed us to get the most out of the time we had. He drove us around San José at the beginning of our tour after we were picked up and at the end of our tour driving back to our hotel to drop us off. He pointed out buildings and gave us great information as we drove. Then, we parked to walk around San José (Central Market) for a couple hours. We stopped to drink some coffee inside the Teatro Nacional which was delicious and made the experience much more personalable! As we walked around the city he gave us historical facts of Costa Rica. We also went to the Museo Nacional de Costa Rica where he also gave us a guided tour of each room, which was so nice! It definitely helped us get a better understanding of Costa Rican history and culture. Walking around the city with Mario was great! We felt safe and comfortable with him. Afterward, we had lunch at a nice little restaurant called Café Otoya by the Mexican Embassy. Overall this was a great tour and we definitely recomend this experience, especially with Mario! The weather was also beautiful and made our time great. Thank you, Mario! We will leave Costa Rica with wonderful memories! Pura Vida!
