About
Take a slow ride in a silent, easy-to-drive, off-road tour buggy from the shores of Ketchikan’s inside passage on this 3-hour adventure. Head through sacred, native land within the Tongass Rainforest for family fun around a crackling campfire with pancakes and s'mores. Then ascend in a buggy to a popular native overlook that offers spectacular views of Ketchikan’s surrounding islands on a clear day. Afterward, return to Saxman Seaport to visit Saxman Native Village and experience a close-up with many of Ketchikan’s famed totem poles.

Overpriced and too little time in ATVs
Jul. 2019 • Family
This trip is way overpriced for what you get. There is very little time doing the actual ATV driving and although the scenery you do drive through is beautiful, it's just in a large circle near the company's property. We also spent too much time waiting around at the camp site. Our guide was knowledgeable, but often went off topic. We learned more about the Ketchikan high school basketball team than what we were seeing. I do not recommend this tour.

Thank you for your input. We understand your concerns and are working on moving this tour to a location that will allow more time on the ATV's. Unfortunately it won't have the totem park aspect included. I will also retrain my local guides and ask them to focus more on the environment than their personal experience growing up here.

Zodiac excursion
Jun. 2019 • Family
This was our favorite excursion. From the moment we were greeted by our driver, a native Alaskan, to the water, we were treated with 5 star service and genuine hospitality. Our zodiac guide even brought frozen fish so we could see a bald eagle dive and retrieve it. Highly recommend!

Individual Attention!
Jun. 2019 • Friends
Maybe it was because we had scheduled this adventure on a day that ended up being rainy and gloomy that we were the only two in our buggy. At any rate, Nedalyn, who is Ketchikan born and raised...and perhaps (as I choose to believe) a descendant of the town's Alaskeros...was a great guide on our initial Alaskan experience. It was great fun and will be remembered for a long time. Thanks to our driver Katie, Nedalyn and the guys who provided the campfire, hot chocolate, pancakes and s'mores for this introductory excursion on our Bucket List Trip

Thank you so much for your kind review and taking the time to write it. We are so glad you picked our tour to launch your bucket list adventure. We are currently moving our operation to a different island and offering more fun excursions. Please check back with us if you make it up to Ketchikan again.

Fun Times.
Sep. 2018 • Couples
This excursion exceeded my husband's and my expectations. Driving the Buggy was fun and learning the history of the local Tlingit people ,their totems and culture just brought the area to life. The scenery of mountains, ocean and rainforest on our trip was mind blowing. The pancakes in the Camp were sooooooo good. Our tour guide was so knowledgable about the area and the people and so wiling to share and answer all our questions. We loved every minute. Thank you.

Alaskan Cruise ATV Excursion
Sep. 2018 • Couples
Our Alaskan Family Rainforest Adventure was way more than we expected. Nedalyn Gonzales, a young native of Ketchikan exceeded our expectations as she took us on an ATV ride through the rainforest. Her history of the city and the people included a heart felt love for a cub bear which we saw alone in the forest and heard the story of his mother and the love of the people's concern as well as learning about the totem poles and traditions of the people who live there. But that wasn't all we also got to have a pancake breakfast right in the forest and s'mores on neat fishing poles. It was the highlight of our trip to Alaska.

Fun Excursion but Over-Priced Compared to Others!
Jun. 2018 • Couples
My husband and I took this excursion in June. There were several highlights and overall we recommend this fun tour if you are looking for something different and have some cash to burn. The totem poles stop was informative and Melissa told us some great stories. The campsite stop for pancakes (fantastically delicious!) and s'mores was fun but a bit too long. Overall, the stops were too lengthy and the amount of time in the buggies was too short. Driving the buggies was an awesome highlight!! We wished we had more time to do that. The overall route was just a short circular drive through the woods. The other terrific highlight was watching the eagle fetch a fish at the end of the tour. That was an AMAZING sight to behold. Overall, this tour is fun but too short due to lots of standing around and priced way too high for the value received. Compared to other excursions, this one is not a good value for the money required. That aside, Melissa was a really fun guide!!

Great way to see the rainforest
Jun. 2018 • Couples
We had a short ride from our cruise ship to the starting location. The 4 wheel vehicles were really souped up golf carts, with big wheels and more power. very easy to drive.
The totem poles were really intereseting and Melissa told us great stories. The rainforest ride was not long, but it was informative and fun to drive through. The best part was when Melissa threw the fish into the water and right on cue, an eagle swooped dwon to get it.

Highlight of our cruise to Alaska
Jun. 2018 • Family
We were a family group of 10 with 4 kids from 4 - 10 yrs. of age. This was our favorite excursion on our Alaskan cruise. It included a variety of activities such as learning about totem poles, driving an ATV (and mudding!), eating fresh cooked pancakes, s'mores and hot chocolate in a forest clearing with a campfire to warm us up and soaking up the beautiful scenery as we went along our way. The finale of our outing was watching a bald eagle swoop down and pick up a fish thrown on the beach by our guide. Totally awesome! And Cody was a great guide. She had plenty of knowledge to share with us and was wonderful with the kids. Highly recommend this activity!
