I was a bit nervous of the terrain but George as well as my partner looked after me. The waterfalls are beautiful & breathtaking. Swimming in one of the lakes was amazing. George is a historian & very knowledgable in his field. George picked us up from our hotel he also took some fantastic photos of our hike & swim. - richardp20140 contributionsHike to the waterfalls with great guidesWe really enjoyed the hike to the waterfall with Dimitris and George on our trip to Messini. They are both great guides who are super friendly and tell some interesting facts and stories about the area and Greece. The hike is not straightforward as there are lots of rocks to navigate but Dimitris was very helpful in showing us the best way and even carried my wife's bag! The waterfall and swim at the end was great. George also took some really good photos which they can share with you. We would definitely recommend this trip.Written August 29, 2024

Yesterday went climbing with George, George and Dimitrios (hope I didn’t get the spelling wrong) - Amazing experience!
The crag we climbed in was actually set by George and his team, and the routes were beautiful.
We were 6 climbers with 3 instructors, who belayed very well and gave us a secure feeling while climbing.
Most of us were complete beginners, except for me and another climber who were a bit more advanced, and George knew to compensate perfectly.
The climbing is very safe and the equipment is good.
George is also an excellent instructor, explaining safety rules and technique well, with a great conversation to go with it.
We went in June and it was quite hot, but we were on the shaded side of the mountain and finished just before the sun came up.
And the heat is also overshadowed by the view. It’s easy to get caught up in the climbing, but once you’re above the tree line, don’t forget to look back! The view is breathtaking.
Overall a great experience, will surely book something else with climbup if I’m ever in the area again

A fantastic trip with George, Alex and the team. I can’t recommend this highly enough. They cater to all abilities. I’ve climbed before - a lot when I was younger - and yet I was tested by the routes and really enjoyed the climbing. There was also a young family on our trip and they were encouraged to do as much as they felt comfortable with, in complete safety with excellent instruction. George is a local climbing legend and has actually created many of the local climbing areas - you’re in safe hands with the team at Climb Up. As an added bonus the views from the crag at kardamili are triply beautiful. A great morning out.

As someone who has climbed for over 50 years in the UK I was a bit sceptical about what an organised climbing activity could offer me. But I was wrong to be sceptical , and Alex and George ran and supervised a perfect morning climbing outdoors in this beautiful part of mainland Greece ( Sparta is very close by ). If you are keen and reasonably fit, or old and creaking a bit ( like me ) and want to have a go at outdoor sport climbing, this activity is for you. I felt there was a perfect balance between safety, adventure and enjoyment and there are around 30 climbs of 30 metres on excellent bolted limestone with French grades of 5 to 6b/c. I was lucky to climb with another UK holiday maker who did all the heavy lifting i.e. led everything - cheers Andy, and the cliff is 5 minutes from the road without the slightest hint of polished rock ( but some holds are very sharp. ). You can use your own boots, harness and belay device if Climb Up ok them ( but all equipment is provided if you want it ) and when you are from the UK climbing in vest and shorts in mid October is bliss. Greek hospitality is second to none and I can’t recommend Climb Up enough. Would love to have a go red pointing some of the routes in future. Thanks guys!

It was most excelent, felt personalized since Nicky kept in touch me by whatsapp to update me on schedule. Alex and Georgos were incredible company and great teachers. Safety and awarenes was impecable. The place is amazing wall great for most levels and easy for beginners l, the best thing definetly is the surroundings and the greek hospitality. I give this two thumbs up!!

My wife and I had a great morning climbing at Kardamili with our instructor, Alex.
We have done some indoor climbing and are competent at belaying and tackling basic climbs and also an outdoor climb in northumberland. This was the best climbing we have done.
At Kardamili Alex had us do three routes up to 40m which were really good and although he made it look easy, they were a perfect challenge for us.
The view from the cliff was worth it alone but I can say that high highly recommend this, great fun, a real highlight to our holiday and Alex was a mine of interesting information on anything from olive farming to climbing and life in Messina. Do it! Roger and Ju

This was our first time climbing in Greece. Climb Up has great customer service and set us up with George as a guide. He and his colleague picked us up in Kardamyli and showed us some amazing routes just outside the village. They were very thorough and knowledgeable on climbing. They emphasized the importance of safety and the psychology on reducing fear in such an intimidating sport for beginners; making our experience comfortable, fun, and exciting. We recommend Climb Up for anyone’s next climbing adventure and strongly recommend George as your guide.

Amazing day out - there was a mix of experienced and new climbers and there was lots of climbing for everyone. Instructors were excellent and lots of fun and everyone was safe at all times. 3 hours is a very long time climbing so this is more than enough as some people will climb more and some less. As an 'indoor' climber I found the experience excellent and I will now try to do more outdoor climbing. George is very knowledgeable and experienced I would recommend this to anyone.

What a morning. Excellent company of like minded people from different regions. Thankfully (for me) with the ability to converse entirely in English. Good also to be immersed in Greek and French conversations on the mini bus. The guides were perfect. Clear and consice but also with good humor. Safety was on point and they pick suitable routes for our abilities. Everyone was tested at some point but we were all able to complete one or more climbs. I had four routes which were all challenging. I cannot rate Climb Up more highly.

We visited from the Neilson resort near Kalamanta. We'd highly recommend this trip to anyone, regardless of their climbing experience. All equipment is provided and is regularly tested to meet the highest safety standards. George and Alex are super friendly guys and they keep it a nice fun and relaxed environment, while still remaining professional and giving tips and guidance throughout.

Spent a wonderful half day rock climbing. George and Alex are great and highly professional, focusing on safety and a positive mindset. They know what climbers of different levels need, and the guide to climber ratio was such that you could do many routes without undue delay. Received awesome drone footage on the same day. Highly recommended!
