      Magical day on the water
First time in the area so im delighted we booked this trip instead of just renting. We saw so many places we never would have found alone. Jamie was a super knowledgeable and entertaining guide. Thank you!

      A great adventure
With the two lads (19&21) we hired the full pack of two lightweight canoes (2 man and one man) and everything we needed for three days including food. It was challenging canoeing forst to teepee lake the tom thomson lake where we found an island campsite. Id guess we did 15-20 miles over three days. Brillant experience.

      Midday Moose
We had a great day out with Andrew as our guide. Everything was well organised, as expected there was plenty of paddling, Andrew was very good at telling us about not just the wildlife but also the ancient and recent history of the people and industries as well as a few local stories. We had a tasty sandwich lunch, time for some cliff jumping and to top it all we managed to spot moose!

      Amazing Canadian canoe outdoor experience
The tour started with a introduction in paddling and entering the canoe safely! Our instructor Andrew also picked some captains to steer the other canoes and they got an extra instruction in using the paddle for steering. After starting in the group of 3 canoes, we had a nice first ride and Andrew gave us some information about the landscape and we made a few stops at interesting points at lake Canoe. After a delicious sandwich we paddled pass nice little islands and enjoyed the beautiful landscape of the Algonquin Park. While crossing over to another lake we could experience how to carry a canoe on our own with all the instructions of our skilled guide Andrew. Or we just could build up teams to carry our stuff to the other shore. After paddling further we stopped at a nice cliff jumping spot where we had a nice jump and swim! Next stop was a short hike to a beautiful view out over the lake. On the way Andrew showed us some plants and let us even smell and chew some leaves. Nice experience! The way back was nice and sunny and we improved our paddling skills! All together it was a lovely 6hour tour that wasn’t even boring for our 15year old daughter (And that is 5 star review of her!) Andrew was a perfect guide, he let us feel save all the way and peppered the tour with the right amount information about Algonquin Park and the area we were in. We do strongly recommend this tour for families and friends that want to experience the beautiful Canadian nature by activating some muscles 😉.

The tour was wonderful and our tour guide Andrew was fantastic. He was great with his storytelling and with carefully walking my friends and I through everything that we needed to know. Great experience overall with beautiful scenery. Highly recommend it

A priceless experience - you will have no regrets
Unbelievable experience, my second time with this company. They are well organized, the trips are well planned and safe, and the guides go that extra mile. I checked into them and all their guides are fully certified and the company is fully insured which gave me that extra level of comfort. The meals were delicious and the activities were great, getting up at the crack of dawn to see moose was tough but well worth it when we finally saw one. It is so nice having everything set up for you. There was a bit of cleanup from meals to participate but that just helped us gel as a group. I would suggest a third set of clothes (despite the one in the pack one on your back guideline in the website), especially for the four or five day trips (and especially if you get some rain). Also your shoes will definitely get wet pulling canoes in and out of the water so maybe bring a 3rd pair. Overall a great experience. Some experiences are truly priceless and this is one of them. You will have no regrets at the end of the tour.

      Best in the Biz
We used Algonquin Outfitters to help supply equipment for our four day three night. Canoe trip in Algonquin Park. As a result of a lot of stormy weather, we came out of the back country early and were able to secure a refund for the equipment not used for our last night. As well, we were able to make a last-minute arrangement to stay in an Algonquin Park campground in lieu of back country. All of this transition was done smoothly and seamlessly, and the customer service was amazing. Highly recommend anyone who is looking to do a trip that does not have all the necessary equipment to take advantage of the outfitting, the Algonquin Outfitters has to offer.

      Beautiful nature with terrific guide
Jamie was the perfect guide for our group. We had campers of widely varied skill and experience levels, and he was able to observe our individual strengths and weaknesses and tailor the experience so that we all had a good time. Collectively, we changed our itinerary, and what could have been a moment of conflict was smooth and easy. I was impressed. We saw two moose, and several beavers, herons, and loons. Jamie knew a lot of interesting things about the plants and animals, which made everything even more enjoyable. The food was surprisingly good. Also, the gear provided was great. We had about a 12-hour stretch of hard rain, and our tents and sleeping bags stayed warm and dry. I would suggest campers bring DEET repellant. The mosquitos were rough on some people, but with DEET and the bug jackets, most of us were fine. I, a camping wimp, can say I had a good time.

      Excellent tour, worth it!
Jammie is an excellent tour guide who took us to explore the mysterious bays of Canoe Lake. We were lucky enough to witness moose foraging. Jammie is very talkative and shared with us the history of Algonquin, various plants, and animals along the way. We tasted freshly grown wild strawberries. It was a truly delightful tour, and I hope to have the opportunity to go camping together again.

      Canoe adventure
Jamie was our guide on this trip and he managed the group and excursion exceedingly well. Everybody was included and participated according to their abilities and their energy. This is a canoe safary and we saw plenty of wildlife, our guide’s comments and explanations enriched the experience. The food was tasty, varied and plentyful. We had mixed weather, but soon this ceased to matter. Jamie’s doing! Personally, I would have enjoyed a bit more historical context on the region. Possibly an idea for the future. A great experience and lots of fun! Alan & Antoinina

A great way to experience Algonquin Park without the investment in equipment. We choose to book with AAT this reason and the bonus were the yummy meals. We especially appreciated our wonderful guide who ensured that we were comfortable, well fed, safe and also enjoyed his company.

Algonquin park is absolutely beautiful and this trip is perfect for first time campers who have no equipment or experience. Algonquintours is very well organized and provides everything required. All you need is a good attitude. We learned a lot of new skills and made fantastic memories. Our guide, Gavin was exceptional and cooked us gourmet meals in the wilderness.

Stuart was great in planning the trip for us and he had one of his guides, Andrew, take us on our 3 day trip. Andrew was professional, knowledgeable, and a great person to spend 3 days with camping. He made sure we got to spend the 3 days the way we wanted and still kept us well fed, safe, and happy. I definitely would recommend Andrew and Algonquin tours. Stuart was extremely nice, accomodating, and respectful. He was able to find halal meat for all our meals which I was truly happy about. He even found vegan marshmallows for us which is absolutely phenomenal. Thank you Stuart for making our trip so enjoyable and our first time camping a one to remember.

We had so many fun experiences it is hard to list them all. From cliff jumping, to portaging, fishing and early morning moose spotting, these guys ensured we got the opportunity to do them all. We had the get away we were hoping for and we made some great friends along the way.

I don't think the experience would have been half as enjoyable or safe had it not been for our guide. He was passionate about what he did and cooked some great meals.

It is camping after all so it's not glamorous, but we loved every second.

Really enjoyed the three day trip. It was really planned and organized very well, keeping in mind the safety and well being of all participants, despite the Covid-19 disruption. All activities were suitable for beginners though still proving to be a challenge.

Our guide Gavin was a fun and very jovial. He was the highlight of the trip!

I just wanted to write to say thank you for an incredible safari in Algonquin. The tour far surpassed my expectations in terms of wildlife, challenge and enjoyment.

Had incredibly intimate viewing of moose and beaver as well as a wide array of other wildlife including black bear.

The camping side of things was also fantastic: stunning locations and surprisingly good food.

A huge shout out to Ben, my tour guide, who could not have been a more helpful, friendly and fun guide. I feel like he bent over backwards to give me the best experience possible and I am so grateful for that.

Be aware, the mosquitos love the taste of an Englishman (and maybe others) so don’t estimate them as I did. It is also a challenging paddle: I really appreciated the challenge and was glad for it, but don’t be naive into thinking it will be easy!

Would 100% go again. Thank you!

We joined the 3 days canoe trip from July 19 to 21 2019. It was a wonderful unique experience and we are still talking about it until now. Our guide is Ben who is nice, knowledgeable and fun and was trying to gave us as much as he can. He has taken good care of us, gave us a lot of information about trees, animals in Algonquin park, cooked good food for us. We would recommend this trip to everyone.

I did the tour after a few days of camping in the organised campgrounds just off highway 60, but this was a different experience entirely. Cut off from the crowds and phone reception, we were immersed in a much wilder, more traditional camping experience.

Our guide Liam was friendly, knowledgeable and very patient, the opportunity to do safe, supervised canoeing was wonderful, the food was great throughout (the guide cooks on-site), and the early-morning paddles were peaceful and extremely picturesque with the fog floating over the lake, even though we didn't always see moose.

I'd definitely recommend the trip to anyone. I travelled solo, and we had a couple and a family in the group, and everyone had a really good time.

I can not express enough how fantastic this trip was! Jamie was an exceptional guide. Very knowledgeable, educational and very fun! Besides seeing the moose and cliff diving, I’d say the highlight of the trip were all the songs we sang, whistled and hummed. Singing sea shanty’s while paddling was the best!
Overall I was very impressed with the service and the trip in total. Very reasonably priced for what is included and I would highly highly recommend! And I can’t speak for the other guides, I am sure they are fantastic as well, but I would also highly recommend Jamie. Again, he was very knowledgeable and eager to teach us and tell us things and was very fun to be around. We all felt bad when he was caring for us because we stopped seeing him as a guide and instead a friend who was part of the adventure.
    10 out of 5 stars!
