Visit: The Living Desert Zoo and Gardens, Palm Desert, Greater Palm Springs, California

The Living Desert is a zoo and botanical conservation park. We have over 450 different animals with boasting over 2,000 unique flora and fauna species within our botanical gardens. Our park showcases the unique and diverse desert animals of North America and Africa. 
The Living Desert operates from 9am-5pm October through May, and 8am-1:30pm June through September. Your ticket includes admission to the Zoo.

This attraction is so gorgeous,,and then all the ANIMALS as it's crowning glory! Note---there are on and off trams that for a small fee, makes the spacious location even easier! So many wonderful volunteers work here to make everything run smoothly----a feast for the eyes...More

Just request The Living Desert. Any car service will know. If you use Uber or Lyft you can enter Living Desertvas your destination and it will pop up.

As I recall there were trams that went around the property. We did not check them out so I'm afraid I can't give you any info about them. But they sure looked like a good way to see the park, especially if the weather is hot.
