JEEP TOUR - High Country
From US$129.00
Overview
On this exciting Jeep tour from Colorado Springs, let a guide do the driving on windy back roads while you sit back and enjoy the scenery, from wildflower-dotted meadows to thick evergreen forest. Ideal for adventurers who want a remote backcountry experience, this tour brings you 11,200 feet (3,415 meters) above sea level, with your guide pointing out some of the prettiest views of the Rocky Mountains surrounding Colorado Springs.
What to Expect

Connect with your guide at a convenient meeting spot, or get picked up at your hotel (select properties), and then head out on your 3-hour tour along the back roads high above Colorado Springs. While your guide navigates the rugged roads as high as 11,200 feet (3,415 meters) above sea level, you’re free to simply relax and enjoy the scenery or snap photos of the dense pine forest, babbling streams, and wide-open meadows.

As you go, keep your eyes peeled for eagles and deer—and you may even spot a cougar or bear from a distance. After you descend from the mountains in Pike National Forest, your guide returns you to your meeting spot.

For optimum comfort, dress in layers with closed-toe shoes. This tour includes wool blankets on cooler days, bottled water, sodas, and light snacks.

Awesome trip up Pike's Peak!

There were four of us and we all agreed that this was the highlight of our trip. Rusty took us up and down the mountain since the COG RR is out of service. We had so much fun with him! We definitely recommend this tour!

Best way to see Pike’s Peak!

Big-D was a great and informative guide on our morning journey up to Pike’s Peak. Interesting stories of his time as a fireman and ranger in both Pike’s Peak and Garden of the Gods. Highly recommend with the closing of the cog railway!!

Personally I would not take a 2-5 year old child on the high country jeep tour even if I had a car seat. While the 3.5 hour ride is beautiful, most of the ride was on uneven and often unpaved roads. The ride was very... More
