About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- courtneyg2090 contributionsHas so much lost potentialThis tour had so much potential but was so scripted and lacked depth. There is so much cool history and stories to be told but the delivery didn’t hold my attention and felt bland and comical versus historical and truly spooky. Adding individuals imagination (picture a family of nine in a lighthouse as a hurricane approaches) could help create connection to the stories in place of storyboards. Take away the corniness and create connection. I enjoyed hearing the history and architecture information with the true spooky connection to the islands.Written October 10, 2023
- jennifersM2640UC0 contributionsGhost & Graveyards TourWe had a great time! Our driver was so funny and did a magic trick before hand. My daughter (who isn’t impressed by anything) loved it!Written September 22, 2023
- kimba020 contributionsSuper funI’ve gone on this tour twice. Howard our driver rocks! You get allot of history of the island from this fun tour. You are the doomed!Written November 27, 2022
- TianL8190 contributionsOverpriced Disappointing ExperienceA very underwhelming experience. Especially considering the website raved about a 100% satisfaction rate. I’ve been on many Old Town Trolley tours in other cities so I had high expectations for this company. We came on with a group of 7 ladies on a Thursday night in October. Our narrator was the most disappointing point of the tour. Her tone was monotone the entire tour, rambled on the stories as if she memorized the script and was just regurgitating it to us. Some members of the tour got a little excited and she reprimanded them asking “is there a problem?” Though they were disruptive, it could’ve been handled differently. Overall, a disappointing experience.Written October 7, 2022
- mousacat0 contributionsKey West VisitWe had a credit to do this from our last visit. The guide was nice and stories were interesting, but I'm glad I didn't have to pay.Written January 9, 2022
- becca-nauer0 contributionsNo history, all ghost storiesWe did the walking tour, which was advertised as “historical” both on the website and by the guide at the beginning of the tour, but there was very little history to it. It was all ghost stories and most of which were from past tours, not even legends or word of mouth tales. All talk of orbs and “ectoplasm.” Wanted more history.Written August 30, 2021
- Rjs12200 contributionsFun and creepyThis fun tour does take you through some of same places as the old town trolley tour so a few stories were repetitive but was still interesting. There was a separate tour guide riding on the trolley dressed in character who was a great story teller.Written August 17, 2021
- anniekay8250 contributionsInteresting history and not much elseDidn’t know what to expect when we decided to do this tour. The history was really interesting and enjoyed seeing and hearing things I didn’t know. My only complaint would be the cost for what we got. Felt overpriced for an hour long history bus tour.Written October 18, 2020

- mattcZ6547GL0 contributionsGreat ExperienceMy wife and I spent a 4 day weekend in Key West without the children, first time ever we were able to do this. My wife had never been down to Key West and she’s a Florida native, we are not into the bar scene or participating in the Duval Crawl so we looked for other fun touristy things to do. Over a wonderful dinner my wife found this tour and we love the story of Robert so we did this tour and let me tell you, Mama Adina makes this tour. She has the perfect personality to do this tour and she made it very funny and interesting, we loved it. The next day we stalked the bus and kept yelling, “YOURE DOOMED” to that tour. I’m going to recommend this to all my friends but they are more into waking up at random bars in the morning!Written January 7, 2020
- laramichelle920 contributionsNeat history lessons! We enjoyed our 6pm tour. We loved hearing some of the dark stories of Key West’s past! It was very interesting, and our guide was a wonderful story teller.Written January 3, 2020
- Teeepalm0 contributionsGhost and GravestonesThe guide can make or break the tour and our guide was awful. It’s overpriced for what it is. The description makes it out to be way more than it is. There were 8 of us in my group and not one of us would do it again. I would suggest just riding the train around town in the evening.Written December 16, 2019

This tour was GREAT! Our tour guide was the butcher and not only did he provide information with little to no mistakes in between he made it fun and creepy and threw in little jokes here and there to lighten the mood. The shipwreck museum gave me one of creepiest vibes I’ve ever felt and touching that piece of silver was so cool! This tour also gives you a chance to learn about the haunted side of place that looks so beautiful and perfect that you could never imagine what you hear on this tour could have never happened at this amazing vacation spot (especially with the Count ). Going into the Fort East Mortello museum was phenomenal. Going in and seeing Robert (the main attraction of this whole thing) and an old used hearse right across from Roberts glass box.Remember always ask Robert permission before you take the picture. All in all it was a spectacular tour and for what you get to do and what you get to learn about 35 dollars for one ticket is worth it. I had such a good time and if I was ever in key west I would love to do it again. If you are looking for an informational haunted tour of key west this is the tour for you. Thank you Ghosts and Gravestones for putting on such a great tour.

This tour was fun, and the guide was excellent!
The tour is primarily a narrated trolly / bus tour, with a couple of stops along the way. The tales of the macabre were well done and the dark history of some of Key West’s inhabitants were entertaining and disturbing.
The tour takes 2 hours, and includes a bit of local history, and covers a good bit of the town.
We enjoyed it and would recommend the tour to adults and older kids.

Tired after a day of tropical heat and humidity? This is a fun, relaxing way to spend a little over an hour and hear some of the spooky side of Key West's history. Our driver, Howard, did a great job navigating the narrow old town streets and our guide, who called himself The Butcher, was friendly and full of interesting tales of Key West in the bad old days. The tour is just over an hour and includes a short visit to the Shipwreck museum. There's some fun interaction with the street crowd and the "doomed" trolley passengers. Would recommend adding 15 minutes to the tour to allow guests to get off the trolley to explore the African Cemetery and Memorial at Higgs Beach.

This is the 4th time going on this tour. Last time was Nov 2020. It is nothing like it was. For the same ticket price , the tour is 30 minutes less and doesn't go to the fort where Robert the Doll is housed. The tour guide was boring and uninteresting. The tour consisted of her dulling telling stories while the bus drove around KW.
The only stop was at the Shipwreck museum. This time at the museum we weren't given the ghost barometers like in previous trips that measure any paranormal activity.
I would not recommend this current tour. Waste of time and money.

I had very high hopes for this tour since it was our first time doing a tour like this. Filamina (I hope I spelled that right)and Lydia were great. Our trolly was late pulling out of the station because some guests were running late so we were hurried along on the only stop the trolly makes, which I felt was not great at all. Some of the time it was hard to hear because the mic Miss Filamina was wearing cut in and out. I was hoping they would slow down a bit and let us take pictures but we were told that our phones had to be off and was informed of the 3 strike policy. I felt like we were being talked to as children. Maybe adding some time to the tour would make it better so people are not rushed when they are at the museum(which is the only stop made). I feel with a few adjustments, this would be an awesome adventure to do again.

It was only 60 minutes not 90 as stated trolley left at 8:30 and pulled in at 9:28. It was very crowded, I am not a paranoid person but I was surprised to see no spacing on bus. Was even told I may have to sit next to a stranger. Stories were very dramatically overacted. It was at times hard to hear as you drove in an open trolley in the middle of live music and djs in the bars. The stories told were cool but with the exception of the beach were told in motion and at times I couldn't tell what building was being pointed out. Photos were pretty much impossible to get from the moving trolley. A couple decent ones were taken at the 1 stop we made (shipwreck museum).

I had so much fun interacting with the storytellers and the general public. It is definitely a unique experience for Key West. I knew two of the stories going into the tour however the tour guide (a blonde older female who was drinking sarsaparilla) made the stories come alive. She was funny and engaged with people not on the tour but who are part of the island. This tour was a community event.
I missed out on purchasing a book about the stories. I would definitely take this tour again.

Our tour guide was very rude first off. Someone's phone went off (apparently....I didn't hear anything) and she broke character and was very rude and told everyone to turn off their phones (that was the first time she told anyone to do that). She could have done it in a much nicer way. The tour was one measly hour and took us to the shipwreck museum which we already had done. The shipwreck museum is the one one in which we got out. Very disappointing tour. Not worth $35 or whatever we paid. I would never recommend this tour. Almost fell asleep.

Bloody Braids was an amazing host! She was charismatic and funny while simultaneously making the tour just spooky enough for everyone. She also made sure everyone was comfortable and felt safe before each activity! Super informational, learned about the history of Key West and heard some spooky stories, best tour ever!
We also booked this tour online the same day and had no problem checking in and getting on the trolley immediately. Lulu/Robert and Roger were also wonderful!
