What to expect
Start your day with a pickup from your Miami or Miami Beach hotel, and relax as you travel south to Key West by bus.  The scenic journey follows a route across more than 40 bridges including the Seven Mile Bridge, setting for many a movie scene including True Lies, License to Kill, 2 Fast 2 Furious and more. Hop between islands, and then arrive in Key West where a laid-back, Caribbean vibe awaits. The time is your own here to do whatever you want. Enjoy roughly six hours of free time and check out attractions such as Hemingway House where Ernest Hemingway lived on the island. Or take a stroll through Mallory Square; it’s right on the waterfront in the historic Old Town of Key West. If you want to maximize your time on the island, select one of these upgrade options and enjoy your activity when you arrive. Key West and Conch Train:Ride an open-air conch train around Key West, and learn about the island as you go. Listen to narration about the sights as you meander through Key West’s Old Town. Key West and Trolley Tour:Enjoy a hop-on hop-off tour by trolley, and see the sights of Key West. It’s a great way to explore and sightsee at your own pace. Key West and Snorkel Cruise:Jump aboard a catamaran for a 3-hour snorkel expedition to a nearby coral reef. Equipment is provided as are non-alcoholic drinks. Key West and Glass-Bottom Boat Cruise:Cruise out from land to see one of the world’s largest reefs, home to an abundant array of tropical fish and marine life. Key West and Parasailing:Gaze down at Key West as you glide above the water from a modern parasail boat. Single and tandem rides are available, but participants must be older than six years of age.

Post COVID-19 Policy- All passengers over 8 years old will be required to wear face masks when inside the buses and indoor any facility (such as gift shops, cafeterias, etc). Hand Sanitizer stations will be provided onboard the buses and on the parks, museums We will operate at 50% capacity, same as parks and museums. Staff will put forth extra efforts to clean, sanitize, and encourage social distancing among visitors and buses will be cleaned between each tour.

Well worth the trip!!

The trip was well organized. Our tour guide Tamara was very knowledgeable and on top of things. She made sure everybody got to their optional activities on the island on time, and at the right location. Its a long trip, 13 hours total so be prepared. Also, be aware of the bathroom situation as the trip is 3.5 one way. Although tamara explicitly said the bathroom was for #1 only and to tell her so the bus can stop if for #2, on the way back to miami someone was not compliant , and there was poop all over the toilet! I had to hold my pee all the way back. You can’t fault the company though for inconsiderate travelers. It certainly helped that they pick you up and dropped you in front of your hotel after a long day! Well worth it

Did not exceed our expectations we were not picked up from our location we last minute Lee was told that we had to go to a whole different hotel to be picked up as the directions on the brochure says we can be picked up from our hotel where we are located in Miami which was not true and now it’s for the second day in a row at the rescheduling we still have not gotten our trip to Key West the bus left us for the second time this is one of the worst experiences in Miami

Confirm What Activities Minors are Allowed

I did the Key West day trip with the parasailing excursion for my birthday.

I did have an issue getting a hold of the tour company, Gray Lines Tours on the phone to confirm pick-up location. However, I sent the tour operator a message to contact me and they reached out 2 days prior to the trip to confirm the pick-up location. They were very polite in answering my inquires and assuring my pick-up location & time.

For the parasailing excursions, I was not able to do although I am the guardian for my minor - the excursion company, Fury required the actual physical parent at the check-in. I rec'd the waiver via email the day prior and it mentioned parent/guardian signature - and when i spoke with the excursion company on the phone, they stated the parent would have had to signed the waiver at last 2 days prior. Fury cancelled my reservation and said to reach out to Gray Lines to see if I could get back at least a partial refund. I did contact Gray Line Tours as I stood outside the Fury check-in, unable to do my birthday excursion, they said that would refund me partially since it was cancelled.

Other than that major hiccup, the pick-up time and drop time works well. We did make a breakfast stop on the way down to Key West. It was for only 20 mins, would recommend bringing something to eat on the journey.

We got 6.5 hrs to spend down on Key West which was sufficient time to explore, dine, and shop.

Key west
Very good way to see key west on short time, but it is rushed. Most of day is spent driving there and back and there wont be much time to actually see key west specially if doing an excursion

Bad Host But Good Snorkeling Experience

The Snorkeling was the only best part of my trip. The staff were soo professional and nice and i also had the best experience I’m soo glad i chose them to be there while i threw myself in the middle of the ocean! But sadly the host that picked us up was very confused and lost although he was nice he made half the crew walk a long time to them tell them that were we were all walking to where they were not supposed to be. The driver also drove terrible slow. It was awful i won’t do this trip again endless i go in my own vehicle.

My mom and I took a trip to Key West as part of our Miami vacation. I have nothing but good things to day about the tour company: pickup was on time, the ride was smooth, the tour operator gave some interesting info while we were driving to Key West. We bought a day trip plus the trolley tour and enjoyed it very much! The trolley driver, Bob, was hilarious! I am a history nerd and could not have had a better guide to tell me about Key West. Since it's a hop on, hop off ride, we did some exploring on our own, namely, climbed the beautiful Key West lighthouse that had spectacular views of the town. In all, a great trip, with the exception of some fellow passengers on the way back who were really drunk and loud. Fortunately, the quieted down relatively quickly.

Waste of a day! Save your money!

Don’t waste your time or your money on this day trip, you’re better off renting a car and driving. They say they pick you up at your hotel, we were supposed to be picked up at 6:30am. I received a call at 6:35am from the tour guide asking if we could walk two blocks to meet the bus. This should have been my first clue that this trip is a joke! We did not get to Key West until 12:15pm, almost six hours on a packed bus with a tour guide that hardly spoke. If you add on an additional experience you have no time to do anything else and our tour guide didn’t tell us where the glass bottom boat was, because he didn’t “handle” that. Unbelievable! No Covid measures were enforced on the bus, it was a total waste of a day!

Amazing experience. So relaxing. The bus was nice, the tour guide was very helpful while picking everyone up from their stops. We stopped for coffee and then directly stopped at key west. We opted to walk around on our own and had 5 hours to do so.

Weather was perfect, 6 hours wasn’t enough time for us. So much more we wanted to do! Note to self... if you see undisciplined children get on the bus..... run the other way! We had a mom with 2 small kids that ran up and down the aisles, yelling, people on bus and tour guide were telling them how to behave as their mother sat obliviously doing nothing!! Not the bus tours fault, just poor parenting! We had a great time otherwise!
