You will be picked up at the Lexington Visitors Center located in downtown Lexington Kentucky at 8:30am. We will travel in a 12 person touring van for 30 miles to the quaint town of Lawrenceburg, Kentucky. Our first stop in Lawrenceburg will be the historic family mansion of bourbon baron T.B. Ripy. This home was built in 1888 and has beautiful architecture and stained glass windows. The current owner is a descendant of the Ripy family and he will be sharing his memories of this home and its history. We will then stroll down Main Street to view the historic homes of other bourbon barons and hear their stories. We will then load back into the van and drive to the picturesque Wild Turkey Distillery. Upon arriving at the distillery, we will be given a tour of the facilities, learn how bourbon is made, sample various bourbons, and receive a complimentary bourbon glass. The tour of the Ripy Mansion, tour of Wild Turkey Distillery, and tasting of bourbons is included in the price.
After our visit to Lawrenceburg and Wild Turkey we will make the return trip to the Lexington. We will drop guests off at the Lexington Visitors' Center by 12:30pm.
