Amazing Night Tour of Downtown Vegas!
Kelly was an excellent historian and tour guide of downtown Las Vegas. This area is rich in history and a must to experience at night. He provides headsets so you have no problems hearing him while walking through the bustling Fremont Street area. The strip is one area of Las Vegas. Don’t miss out on the nostalgia of the downtown district. There is so much revitalization going on in this area that you don’t want to miss. Kelly’s tour was one of the highlights of our trip! Thank you again for sharing your knowledge of this wonderful part of Las Vegas.

A Beautiful hotel that will make the best of your stay.
I had the opportunity to stay at a rennevated 2 bed room ar the Rio hotel for 6 days the first week of February. It started with a very bad start at a downtown hotel and when I called my niece staying athe Rio for help in getting myself and my daughter out of the downtown hotel, We both walked into the room at the Rio and we looked at each other saying "My God I think we've died and gone to Heaven". The room was beautiful, it was bright and welcoming. There was a full floor to cieling to floor window on one complete wall facing the south, which was into the mountains. They were beautiful and at night the window was full of the Las Vegas gorgeous lights. The room itself was spacious. It had 2 Queen beds, the sitting room had a beautiful couch which made into a queen bed and also had a chase lounge. Infront of the couch we had a 55 inch tv. The bathrooom had a large closet, a largespace with a marble counter top a sink and to large mirrors before entering the bathroom with another sink and mirror with a walk in shower with bottles of shampoo, coditioner, and body wash. Besides there amenities the hotel offered valet parking with very kind and helpful attendents. This also included bellhops. The casino was bright and had many resturants that were reasonable priced with attendents who were friendly and helpful. the gambling area was also well lit, with numerus machines, the casino area was not smokey, people were friendly and not rowdy, Security was statoned by the elevators. This was a beautiful hotel and casino just a short walk to the strip. I would deffinately at the Rio again and will recommend to anyone I know traveling to Las Vegas. It also appeared to be family friendly as I saw many children with their parents coming and going from the hotel.

"A fantastic history of the 'old to new' Las Vegas!"
My wife & I booked this walking tour as we are very interested in the history of Las Vegas from its early beginning through the decades to the present day. Many people associate 'Vegas' with 'the strip' - nothing further from the truth!! The 'City of Las Vegas' or as its known locally 'Down town' starts at the Stratosphere & runs much further North upto & past Freemont Street. We met our tour guide - Kelly at the Plaza Hotel on Main Street at the top of Freemont Street, our party of approx. 10 were then given earpieces attached by cable to a transmitter device so that we could hear Kelly speaking without him having to shout above the hustle & bustle of Down town Vegas! Kelly was extremely knowledgeable, attentive, & enthusiastic. There is so much to Las Vegas than you will ever know from there once being a train station behind the Plaza Hotel right down to the new Container Park in the Fremont East District. If you are into Vegas - not just for gambling then I can thoroughly recommend this walking tour - it lasts approximately 2 hours.

    Must-do-experience
It was an amazing experience to walk through ‘Old Las Vegas’ where it all began. We had a super nice guide who told a lot of lovely details and knew a lot about the city. Downtown is even worth to explore than the strip is - and with the walking tour you’re getting a Downtown expert. Also you get valuable tips from your guide regarding restaurant, bars, hotel, .. (we tried 2 restaurant tips and it was delicious). Fully recommend this tour :)

I highly recommend: Downtown Las Vegas - Fremont St. (Past to Present) Tour
The walking tour was very excellent. We got to see old Las Vegas with very good explanations of then and now....... Our guide was fantastic, with lots of tips and suggestions. The overview was excellent. Ideally this tour should be taken at the beginning of your trip so that you get an understanding of how Las Vegas eveloved. All new visitors going to Las Vegas should take this tour.

This tour was amazing! Kelly was our guide and was so knowledgeable and passionate. I feel like after 20 years of visiting family in Vegas, I finally understand the history and growth of Vegas due to this tour! Kelly’s tour and sharing has inspired me to stay downtown next time I visit and to explore all and exciting new shops, restaurants and the art district. We loved it! And thanks Kelly for answering all of our questions and being so accommodating!

Kelly was an amazing tour guide! Full of great tips, cool facts, and photographs, Kelly has a true passion for Las Vegas history. My family and I all enjoyed having the earpiece to hear him clearly on the tour. Kelly also gave us a list of the notable places he mentioned in the tour along with a 2-paged list of coupons for us to use! I cannot express just how amazing the tour was!!!

It was a beautiful day to spend walking around the original city of Las Vegas and learn the history. Our guide was very knowledgeable about the history of the area. Throughly enjoyed learning about a part of town beyond the strip. I would highly recommend locals take the tour to learn about their hometown.

We met our guide, Kelly, a few minutes before the tour. The tour started right on time even though our expected group went from 15 to 9 due to the excessive heat. Kelly was very aware of hot conditions and kept us inside / shade as much as possible. He provided detailed history including photos of downtown all the while keeping us entertained. He seemed passionate about keeping downtown alive and provided his own tips on great food / lodging. Great communication with staff after booking the tour and just before the tour began. Kelly was proactive in resolving any headset issues which was very much appreciated. The tour was very informative and we are so glad we selected this tour from the many other attractions available. One of the best guides we've had during our trip to Vegas!

If you are a fan of history or a fan of Vegas in itself, I would highly recommend you do this Tour! He was so incredibly knowledgeable with fun facts literally on every single corner that left us pretty amazed. It added so much to not only the day but also to the rest of our trip in Las Vegas, being able to appreciate the history behind everything around us. It was a wonderful experience and would definitely repeat. Thank you!

Kelly was our favorite part of the tour. He loves the History of Vegas and gives you the appreciation of it. He has tons of side stories to aide the tour. There is not one second of boredom on the walk nor do you realize you've walked for 2 hours until he gives you the closing comments at the end. The tour comes with a headset synced to his microphone so you can hear every comment over the background noise. Perfect way to start a Vegas trip!

Kelly was passionate about the history of Downtown Las Vegas and did a great job sharing information and stories. I'm not particularly fond of Vegas, however I did enjoy the tour very much, found it interesting and would recommend it. The headsets worked very well, allowing him to be heard clearly above the surrounding city noise.

The tour was so worth it, lots of great history shared about Las Vegas. The tour guide shared pictures, took us to see distinct aspects of buildings and helped us discover parts of Fremont and downtown we probably would have never seen otherwise. We spent hours after the tour exploring on our own things our tour guide suggested experiencing.

This tour far exceeded our expectations. Our guide was super knowledgeable (and obviously very passionate) about Las Vegas history, and it showed in his delivery. He had a binder of “then and now” photos, which really highlighted how much Vegas has changed over the years. The tour started at the Plaza Hotel, which is where the Vegas we know today started. As we strolled down Fremont St, he told stories of significant events in Vegas history, and pointed out the key buildings and landmarks.
He used headsets so everyone could hear. Well worth the money and time.
