6-Hour Black Canyon and Colorado River by Motorized Raft Tour from Las Vegas
From US$173.00
Overview
Float down the Colorado River with a guide on this stress-free tour from Las Vegas, a great choice for nature lovers and first-time visitors. Take a gentle ride aboard a motorized raft as you explore the Black Canyon National Water Trail. Enjoy views of Hoover Dam and the canyon’s spectacular natural scenery, and keep an eye out for native wildlife such as desert bighorn sheep and ospreys.
What to Expect
Your morning begins with pickup from select Las Vegas hotels in an air-conditioned coach and a short drive to the Lake Mead National Recreation Area.
On arrival at Lake Mead, check in and head down to the riverbank below Hoover Dam to board a motorized raft for your 3-hour float through Black Canyon, a natural gorge of the Colorado River. Your guide points out features of the dam and shares interesting facts about the area during the 12-mile (19-kilometer) ride through the canyon.
Enjoy views of Hoover Dam and the bypass bridge overhead, and keep an eye out for native wildlife such as desert bighorn sheep, great blue heron, eagles, ospreys, and more. Then stop to have lunch (included) on a riverside beach.
Finish your Colorado River float on the Arizona side of the river at Willow Beach, and then hop back in the coach and end your tour with hotel drop-off in Las Vegas.

It will be warm....but the river is cool so it’s easy to cool off. Just dip your body parts in the river. Make sure you wear lotion, a sun hat and take a spare t shirt or something to cover up. Don’t let the heat put you off... More
