I've loved cooking for as long as I can remember! Growing up, my dad was the Minister of Tourism so we'd always have international colleagues & friends over for dinner. I would watch my mom preparing delicious meals for these huge dinner parties. I learned that the best way to welcome guests to your country & your culture is through the stomach. So, I learned to cook!
All of the dishes I've selected are typical Javanese recipes but with a sprinkle of magic from the kitchens of my mom and grandmom. Traditionally, we don't really have set courses. We'll put everything on the table with the rice in the middle, and then we help ourselves to whatever we think looks the tastiest.
After our meal, we can have a stroll around Canggu or, even better, visit the Tanah Lot temple to witness an unforgettable sunset. It's one of my favorite ways to end an evening, and I'd love to share this moment with you.
