My first time rafting and I couldn’t have found a better company to do it with . The guides are extremely knowledgeable about all things rafting. Very energetic and personal. Our guide was Tyler . A 5 year veteran of the company and definitely a top tier guide. He took the time to get to know everyone in the raft individually and made a personal connection with each of us. I can’t say enough good things about Tyler. The entire crew including the photographer were incredibly helpful and conducted themselves with the professionalism you would expect as the #1 rated rafting company in the Kootenay’s . This experience exceeded all our expectations and I highly recommend them to new and experienced rafters .

Seriously, probably the most fun you're going to have and well worth the spend. The staff is absolutely amazing, funny, interactive, and most importantly take the safety of everybody on board very serious. The most fun you're going to have when you have 2 hours at panorama. Great for all ages. Just remember one thing, give these guys a tip when you're done they work their butts off.

Great day! A super first whitewater trip with just enough rapids to give you an adrenaline rush, but any newbie can manage it. Our guide had awful humor to spare, but absolutely was in control of the raft, and we felt we were in good hands.
The whole company was well organized and had good equipment. 11/10 recommend to friends.

As it was my first time whitewater rafting, I was a little nervous before I arrived. As soon as we checked in, we were greated by the amazing and friendly staff. Right from the start, you can tell that their goal is to make you have fun! Our guide Tyler was awesome! He made us feel super safe, while at the same time he was making sure we hit the best rapids. The bus drive/photographer was great too, the photos turned out phenomenal. Would reccomened this experience to everyone!

We had a great rafting experience with Abbey at the helm. She helped reassure family members new to rafting, provided some excitement for a short dip, and great guiding information. Thank you to the entire team for the two hr trip July 13! Your humour and energy made the day.

It’s our first time doing water rafting and was fun experience and and super worth it. Our guide Cailan is very friendly and energetic he even sing and rap for us. Definitely going back and will recommend with my other friends.

From the Panorama Resort, we did the 2 hour trip down Toby Creek. The water was cold and the river flowed fast and it was awesome. On the bus ride, our guide Brooke did a very thorough job explaining safety issues and gave clear instructions on how to paddle so that even younger kids will understand and retain the knowledge.

All the staff were friendly and accommodating. Sign in was a organized and efficient. The guides on the river where a wealth of knowledge and fun.
My whole family 13 people (aged 11-65) took the same trip 4 years ago and the the quality of the trip was the just as great then as it was now.
I highly recommend this company and the Toby Creek tour for families of all sizes and abilities.

Great day on the river and the Kootenay River Runners are an excellent company. Our river guide Tyler was fantastic. We were only a Boat of three but Tyler clearly knows that river and kept us entertained the entire time. I would recommend this company and in particular Tyler to anyone. Anyone that can do a hand stand on a raft while white water rafting gets my vote.

The actual rafting was fun, and our guide in the raft was very nice and friendly. We took our 8 year old twins and our 10 year old. Staff at the check in seemed frazzled, and there was some disorganization in getting everyone suited up. Overall, we felt unwelcome with our kids - one staff member in particular was openly rude to us and we tried to get the river shoes, wet suits, life jackets and helmets on our three kids. It was disappointing, as the outing was advertised as great for families. If they don’t want to be friendly to families with younger kids, they should just advertise for 12 and up only. Still enjoyed the outing, as it was the right level of rapids for our beginner family and our kids enjoyed it. Beautiful day and our raft guide was nice. Just disappointed in the staff at the check in and suit up part of the outing.

While I am happy to hear that you enjoyed your time rafting with us we are disappointed to see that you felt unwelcome as a family. We definitely do love hosting families and as you can see from the many reviews it is usually a family highlight of their holiday.
We did speak to our staff in regards to the trip you attended and I am sorry that you felt rushed. However, they are balancing having the trips run safely, smoothly and ensure all of our guests are having a great time. Also, I am sorry to hear that there was a misunderstanding when the guides just wanted to help but our expectation is for both our guests and our staff to be treated with respect.
