Willamette Valley Wine-Tasting from Portland
From US$139.00
Get to know Oregon’s Willamette Valley wine region on this full-day tour. See what makes Oregon pinot noir so special and learn about boutique wine and olive oil production with a small group. Let your guide worry about the details and the driving as you enjoy the scenery and the wine flights.
What to Expect
Meet at Director Park in downtown Portland and set off in your luxury van for the scenic journey out of the city. Look out for views of the Cascade Mountains as you make your way south to the Willamette Valley.
Visit your first winery where you learn about viticulture and taste a variety of local wines including pinot noir for which the region is known.
The next stop is lunch at a local cafe (own expense), and then you continue on to stop at two more carefully selected wineries for more tastings and opportunities to purchase bottles directly from the winemakers.
Listen to your guide’s commentary on the region’s culture and history and take in bucolic views of orchards, farms, and vineyards.
Finally visit the Oregon Olive Mill–the only extra virgin olive oil producer of its kind in the Pacific Northwest–before returning to Downtown Portland in the afternoon.

Although we have not yet made it to McMinnville, it’s well known in the Willamette Wine region, so I am sure there are local tours available.

My husband and I were two of seven people on the Wildwood Adventures tour. Worked out well. We really liked the three small wineries we visited.
