Overview

Learn about Portland’s history and culture through its food on this small-group walking tour of downtown. Taste a variety of locally crafted dishes and beverages and scope out restaurants you will want to return to later in your visit. The tour is designed to take you off the beaten path and introduce you to a wide variety of dining experiences from hip and humble food carts to high end dining.

What to Expect

Choose a departure time, meet your guide at an agreed downtown location and begin your journey on foot. Specific itineraries vary, but your guide takes you to six locations during the tour where you taste local favorites and new additions to the ever-changing food scene.

Sample a range of dishes from some of the upscale, established restaurants and casual, new comers that make up Portland’s thriving food scene.

Explore the vast array of downtown food trucks, try local craft beer, and sip Oregon wines, learn some of the city’s geography and history as you stop to check out some truly unique flavors weather it’s handmade dumplings, fresh made pasta, or cult favorite pork sandwiches and single origin chocolate.

Menus change with the seasons, so be prepared to taste what’s fresh when you visit and see some of the city’s sights during the 1.5-mile (2.4 km) tour, which ends at Pioneer Courthouse Square.
