- 859lindseyp00Sore for a day, memories for a lifetimeThis was an amazing experience I 100% recommend. I was a little reticent to do this solo but the group I climbed with quickly become like family. The climb and hike does require some strength and stamina but you go at your own pace the whole time. Definitely consider paying extra for the sunset climb as the extra tree height and view are completely worth it. Shout out to Megan who was an amazing tree guide!
- Summersly00Overnight in the skyI went on the overnight adventure with a friend to celebrate my birthday and it was just amazing. Highly recommend. Leo (our guide) was the best mix of being open to conversation and questions, and also allowing us to be quiet and just bask in the views. The sunset was incredible! The Perseid meteor shower was happening and we saw shooting stars with an almost unobstructed view. It was so quiet, I slept really well in the hammock (it helped having slept in my own many times before), especially with the under-quilt provided for warmth. I wish we had taken more time to appreciate the tree after we came down, because it was the star of the show! The hardest part was hiking to the tree - it's over a mile walk, uphill, with backpacks, and the second hardest part was hauling the backpack up, so if you aren't into that, skip the overnight and just come for the sunset (ie: no backpack).
- N6802FDdanis00Didn't go as planned, but was amazing! Our trip didn't go as planned due to illness, but what we were able to experience was awesome!! Brennan, our guide, was amazing and kept very calm given our circumstances!!
- timdP3483NA00Exhilarating and SpectacularThis is an absolute must-do! A fantastic once-in-a-lifetime experience. Where else will you get the unique opportunity to climb an old growth tree to watch a sunset 280 feet above the forest floor! WOW!! My wife and I (fiftyish in decent shape) and our two kids (15 & 17) were able to make the ascent with no issues. Our guide Brennen was fantastic. Our kids were so excited they scampered up the tree with gusto. The sunset was amazing. They also offer day climbs and even overnight trips where you can actually sleep at the top of the tree.
- js1987-198700Awesome and unique experience you can't get anywhere else!Fun, unique, once-in-a-lifetime experience! I found out about this through researching things to do in Silver Falls State Park and really glad I stumbled upon it. It sounded too cool to pass up, and it did not disappoint. The same company offers tree climbing in Washington too and this is the first tree climb option in Oregon now. We chose the sunset option. The instructor was great and she taught us quickly and we practiced on a smaller tree. We had no experience prior and picked it up rather quickly. We then hiked to the to the actual designated tree to climb, with our guide, Brennan. The tree is one of the tallest in the area that has a great view overlooking the park's tree line. We took our time, was not rushed, was not tired out, and were not too sore the next day either. We repelled down rather quickly and hiked back with the provided headlights and felt 100% safe the entire time (during the ascent, descent, and night hike). You go up as you please, we took our time, and took many pictures and videos on our phones on the way up. Pro Tip: Have zipper pockets on your jacket or wear a sidepack that you can wear on your chest so you can easily take your phone or snacks in and out. Highly recommended!
- danokayth00Amazing experience, great instructors.Brennan and Annika were our climbing instructors. Both were very good at helping where needed and letting go when they knew things were right. We did the overnight camping experience, and lemme tell ya, it was absolutely fantastic. They did everything they could to make the stay and climb and fun and carefree( while maintaining safety responsibly), and were both very professional, and courteous. Will be going again, for certain.
- TomAnastasio00Sublime Treetop ExperienceClimbing trees in the Silver Falls rainforest was a peak experience for my wife and me. Brennen is the consummate tree guide. He quickly taught us the ropes and brought us to a 250ft tree to climb. Up we went, trusting the gear and improving our skill. The wind through the tops of the trees was amazing! Our next tree was 300ft and up on a ridge. We didn't think we could make it but the higher we got the more confident we became. We climbed some of the topmost branches, and watched the sun set over distant mountains with nothing but treetops in between. We rappelled down the tree in the dark. Our UV headlamps revealed blue, green, and red phosphorescent lichens in the bark. Too soon we returned to the ground, not believing the fantastic vertical trip we just had the great honor to take. AdventureTerra is a superb outfit. The instruction is expert. The quality equipment inspires confidence. This is a doable, euphoria-producing challenge. Don't miss it!
- teresabC7834AL00Fun eventI really appreciated the helpful advice from the guides. I enjoyed the climb even though I was only able to get to 50 feet.
- 155iank00A great experience!Brennan was the best guide ! A spiritual experience for me. Highly recommended! A great way to experience Silver Falls State Park!
- Ellielyn00Climb above all the treetops! This was an incredible experience for my family. Tim was a great guide who shared knowledge about the trees and forest and helped my girls (10 and 12) be successful. This is hard work, so come prepared to be tired and sore at the end. Very worth it!
- Mkittleson00Great time!!It was amazing! The guide was experienced and very knowledgeable! I am 66 years young and it was a workout - but oh so doable and fun!!!
- Kate L00AmazingIt was an amazing and unique experience! Duncan was great. He explained everything well and made us feel comfortable with the climbing equipment and maneuvering up the tree! Definitely will be back again
- Holly F0050th bday winThis was an amazing opportunity. It was essentially a gift for my husband for his 50th anniversary. He was able to make it all the way to the top. The guides were truly kind and encouraging. Highly recommend.
- kkb323000The best sunset views!Had an amazing time doing the sunset tree climb with 3 of my friends! The instructors were very fun, knowledgable, and safety conscious! I would recommend bringing bug spray, a snack, and water. All of us would do it again --- such a unique PNW experience.
- Z4294YHmikeb00Life Bucket list experience! Do not miss!!!You don't know this should be on your life bucket list because you haven't heard of it but it absolutely should! This experience was absolutely incredible! Cannot recommend it highly enough! Fiancé and I arrived at 4pm, completed training, completed a 2 mile stunning uphill hike, climbed a 600 year old 300' Douglas fir which stands on the top of a large hill overlooking the whole valley, watched a majestic sunset while sitting on a branch 20' from the top of the tree. Rappelled down in the dark using blacklight headlamps, then hiked out through this amazing forest in the dark using headlamps. Took about 5.5 hours total. Our guide Brennan was awesome. It is pretty physical but if you can hike uphill outdoors then you can get up this tree. They have a motorized ascender option so you can take that special someone who may be getting too old for this level of physical work. Are we sore? yes. Are we happy about it? Absolutely!!! Would we do it again? In a second!!!

This is probably one of the most awe inspiring things I've done this year and I'm so glad I ventured out here! Leo, Brennan, and Tim were all very patient, knowledgeable, and friendly guides. The climbing itself was engaging and at times a little challenging but in the best ways. By the time we reached the top I was proud I'd made it up and relieved at how secure it felt relaxing up in the trees and taking in the views! If you have any inkling that you'd enjoy this kind of adventure, I highly recommend going for it! I didn't regret a thing and I will always remember how exciting it was to revisit the sense of wonder one feels so often as a child encountering new parts of nature. Getting to experience this as again an adult was worth every penny.

I had an absolutely wonderful experience with Leo as a guide. He went above and beyond to work around my schedule so that I could enjoy a beautiful morning in the trees. I also appreciate how he was very knowledgeable about the ecology of the area and gladly taught me about the plants, fungi, and lichen present in the tree canopy. I would recommend Tree Climbing at Silver Falls State Park for anyone looking for a unique way to enjoy and learn about the Pacific Northwest.

A breathtaking experience on a cold autumn day. I went climbing with my 10 year old daughter and had a blast. Our guide Tim was exceptional in providing guidance and advice on the equipment and helped us all the way through. My daughter went well over 150 ft before we decided to stop, still felt like we got our moneys worth of thrills. Would definitely recommend it for someone who is looking for an adventure, be mindful that it is quite strenuous and not easy for someone out of shape.

Our guide Tim was thorough and checked that we were secure in knowing how apparatus worked and that it all fit us correctly. I like the process of trial practice for any questions before actual climb. I felt confident in the climb and in Tim's ability to make sure we were operating safely. It was beautiful at the site, which was within the park where you see only forest around - alot of looking down on various treetops. Humongous tree that we climbed, some through its branches, we climbed 220 feet and there was still more tree and branches above us! Our party of 4 had an amazingly fun time! Highly recommend going with treeclimbingatsilverfalls.com

Our tree climbing adventure was truly one of the most joyful experiences I’ve had. I decided to go on my birthday and it was the most perfect and special way to celebrate. I knew it was going to be a fun adventure, but I had no idea how unforgettable it would be.
Leo was our guide and he completely made our experience. As an instructor he had a wonderful balance of clear communication, patience, kindness, reliability and playfulness. I felt extremely safe, supported and empowered throughout the entire experience. He had a talent of really attuning to the moment and knowing what kind of support each individual needed in order to make a fun experience for the entire group.
From start to finish this experience felt professional, safe and well thought out. It is a once in a lifetime experience to climb a 250 foot tree and the reward and awe you feel once you get to the top is hard to put into words.
Not only can not way to do it again, but I want to bring all my loved ones with me to expreience such a wonderful adventure.
I highly recommend this experience and company to anyone reading this, I promise if you book your climb you will not regret it and likely will be ready to come back for more.

There's no place more awe-inspiring than the canopy, and Tree Climbing at Silver Falls is the perfect way to get there.
I set out with high hopes and was impressed at every turn. Heidi and Leo were engaging, communicative, and super friendly. They led our group with attentiveness while allowing everyone to ascend at their own pace. No pressure, no hustle, just a supportive atmosphere. If you have limited mobility or medical concerns, let them know and they’ll accommodate as much as possible.
The ropes and gear were in great shape, the anchors solid as can be. You’re in good hands—as are the trees! Everything's rigged in a way that minimizes disturbance, so you can climb without damaging bark or breaking branches. Leo and his team genuinely care about preserving these giants, and it shows.
Whether you’re just passing through or looking for a new perspective on life, Tree Climbing at Silver Falls is 100% worth doing. Seriously. My only complaint is that the climb had to end!

Very professional and well organized operation from sign-up to finish. Introductory email provided clear directions and information. And when I had a few more questions, I got clear answers prior to the day of our climb. Tim, our guide was great. He was clear in his instructions and very patient as our group consisted of 6 people from age 8 to age 70. The only reason I gave a 4 star instead of 5 is that it took so long to outfit everyone in the group that we had only an hour to climb and only two people were able to get all the way to the top. Granted, it was a challenge for Tim as one member of the group was very particular and had to be outfitted with two different harnesses. Also, the 8 year old needed a special harness due to her small size. Tim was very patient, but it was a slow process to get to the main tree.

What an incredible experience! I can't describe the feeling of being at the top of a 250 foot tree, but it was one of the most amazing things I've ever done. Our guide Brennan was extremely competent, patient, helpful, and pleasant to be around. He explained everything thoroughly and was right there when needed. I highly recommend the Intro Tree Climbing to anyone who is in reasonable physical shape and not too scared of heights.

This was a wonderful experience that I bought my husband and me for his birthday. He and 2 others rope climbed 200' up a Douglas Fir and played around in the branches. Kind of like Peter Pan, jumping from one branch to the other. I have balance problems, so they used a battery-operated hoist for me, and I was able to go up the tree. We fully enjoyed it. All of the crew were extremely helpful. Our guide, Tim, was just a delight.

Awesome experience! Brennan was a great instructor and guide. Highly recommend this experience. Would not recommend for anyone with a fear of heights and it could be a bit physically challenging for some folks but well worth the effort. They have a motorized system available to pull you up the rope if it’s not within your physical strength but learning to climb without was very fun.
