      Fun times in Oregon Forest
Our trainer was very thoughtful and helpful. She took her time to teach us. She offered helpful suggestions and advice. The owner was kind generous and friendly when we got lost finding the right area and stayed on the phone with us until he knew we were where we needed to be. They both went above and beyond when it came to adjusting on the fly due to my medical situation. We are definitely going back.

      One of a kind experience
A breathtaking experience on a cold autumn day. I went climbing with my 10 year old daughter and had a blast. Our guide Tim was exceptional in providing guidance and advice on the equipment and helped us all the way through. My daughter went well over 150 ft before we decided to stop, still felt like we got our moneys worth of thrills. Would definitely recommend it for someone who is looking for an adventure, be mindful that it is quite strenuous and not easy for someone out of shape.

      Simply Amazing!
I loved this climb. The redundant safety features were thoroughly explained to me, and I felt totally comfortable all the way up and down. The ascent was as leisurely as I wanted it to be. The instructor stayed near me, and we chatted as I "went out on a limb" or two to catch my breath. Purchasing the photography option was definitely a good move. I plan to come back next summer for the Sunset Climb.

      Do it!
This was so cool and worth the money. My sons (19 and 13) and me (48) were looking for an adventure. One son had done a lot of rock and ice climbing and enjoyed this as a different type of climbing. The other was scared from beginning to end, but our guide did a great job talking him through. He made it about halfway up and then the guide took him down back down, that was okay too. He still had a good time. I loved every minute. I was surprised how easy it was once I got the rhythm of it--and none of us were even sore the next day. Highly recommend!

      Overnight in the sky
I went on the overnight adventure with a friend to celebrate my birthday and it was just amazing. Highly recommend. Leo (our guide) was the best mix of being open to conversation and questions, and also allowing us to be quiet and just bask in the views. The sunset was incredible! The Perseid meteor shower was happening and we saw shooting stars with an almost unobstructed view. It was so quiet, I slept really well in the hammock (it helped having slept in my own many times before), especially with the under-quilt provided for warmth. I wish we had taken more time to appreciate the tree after we came down, because it was the star of the show! The hardest part was hiking to the tree - it's over a mile walk, uphill, with backpacks, and the second hardest part was hauling the backpack up, so if you aren't into that, skip the overnight and just come for the sunset (ie: no backpack).

You may never look at a forest the same way again...
Awesome experience. Leo brings a great combination of competence and laid back relaxation. I never doubted the safety of their equipment or setup, even if being up that high was sometimes a little nerve-wracking! I'd totally do it again. The hike to the tree is about 45 minutes and moderate in intensity only because it's mostly uphill and you're carrying a backpack (for the overnight stay). I had doubts about whether I'd be able to do the climb to the top of the tree, but I made it! For reference, I'm about 40 lbs overweight, can't do a pull-up to save my life, and was doing about 20-30 squats a day to prepare for the trip. It was a physically tiring exercise but I found it doable and it was nice that there was no sense of being in a hurry. The views from the top were gorgeous - sunset, Perseids meteor shower, then sunrise. What a memorable experience! Highly recommend.

See the park from a bird's eye view!
This was truly a one of a kind experience. It was a bit of work to get to the top, but our instructor, Arnica, did a great job. She was very friendly and patient with those who needed more help with their equipment.

Everyone should do it at least once!
We had an absolutely incredible time doing the tree climbing at Silver Falls. Our group ranged in age from 10 to 53, and the training and instruction was perfect for every level. Our instructors even made it a point to show my 10-year-old a good time even after he was done climbing and waiting for everyone else to finish. I highly recommend that anybody try this, and I will certainly be going back again at some point!

      Fun workout
Very unique way to get your workout for the day! I've had tendonitis in my right wrist for 8 months, so my whole right arm is weak now, and I went pretty slowly. Our guide, Megan, stayed behind with me and kept me company. She was very kind and patient. I got to the top, but it was a challenge. My 16-year-old son said it was easy for him, though. Word to the wise: wear long socks or ankle length leggings. The ropes can rub up against the front of your leg. Also for women: tuck in your shirt and wear a sports bra.

      Climb your own Mother Tree
Such an exhilarating experience! We felt completely safe the whole time and made it to the top of our 230 ft 'Mother Tree'. It takes a minute to get the hang of the climbing equipment, but our guide gave us lessons and practice runs before the actual climb. At the top, we hung out, chatted and watched the eagles and hawks from the treetops before repelling back down. 100% would do this again.

      Highest I've ever been!
On my 33rd birthday to the 33rd state, my son and I finished off our week long road trip with a challenge. I highly recommend this tree climbing experience. Leo is a gem! And helped me reach my goal of getting to the branches. Once up there, it was a tranquil experience. Ascension was difficult for my poor physical ability, but I'm grateful for the bruises and sore muscles. I definitely am moving slowly today after that climb. I can't recommend how totally worth the pain and effort this experience was. I didn't think I would make it up the tree, but Leo was amazing to help me. For people not categorized as morbidly obese (as I am), I would say there's nothing to fear but acrophobia. I added the photography to the package and got everything on a sweet little flash drive. I couldn't thank Leo enough for how awesome of an experience he provided.

Achievement unlocked: Scaling a mature Doug Fir!
What a unique experience! I don't know of anywhere else that helps/lets you climb old growth trees. Our group thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to safely meet the challenge of climbing to the top of an old growth Doug Fir tree in the gorgeous Silver Falls State Park. Our group of three "middle-aged" adults and two teens all had a great time taking on the challenge to hoist ourselves up over 200 feet above the ground, above the canopy. Adults and teens felt accomplishment all around! Important to note: the suggestions to wear clothes that may be damaged, as well as pants (not shorts) and sturdy shoes are important. I had forgotten how much sap is involved in tree climbing... it had been at least 40 years since I climbed a tree. All the clothes have sap; all the uncovered skin has sap. Also important: lots of small bruises and little scrapes, at least for the middle aged adults--nothing that should deter anyone, but all the middle-aged novice tree climbers in our group ended up with various minor bumps and bruises. I bet that improves with practice--the kids didn't have this issue. The guides provided plenty of support and information about the climb, equipment, forest, and provided support as the going got tough for adults and kids learning a new skill and facing a new challenge (height is scary and surmountable).

This was an amazing experience I 100% recommend. I was a little reticent to do this solo but the group I climbed with quickly become like family. The climb and hike does require some strength and stamina but you go at your own pace the whole time. Definitely consider paying extra for the sunset climb as the extra tree height and view are completely worth it.

Shout out to Megan who was an amazing tree guide!

It was a wonderful and unique experience. My guide was great, he explained everything I needed to know to climb safely and made sure the experience was great.
I missed my scheduled afternoon time because of car problems and they kindly rescheduled me for the sunset climb that same day even though I was the only one signed up that evening.

You don't know this should be on your life bucket list because you haven't heard of it but it absolutely should! This experience was absolutely incredible! Cannot recommend it highly enough! Fiancé and I arrived at 4pm, completed training, completed a 2 mile stunning uphill hike, climbed a 600 year old 300' Douglas fir which stands on the top of a large hill overlooking the whole valley, watched a majestic sunset while sitting on a branch 20' from the top of the tree. Rappelled down in the dark using blacklight headlamps, then hiked out through this amazing forest in the dark using headlamps. Took about 5.5 hours total. Our guide Brennan was awesome. It is pretty physical but if you can hike uphill outdoors then you can get up this tree. They have a motorized ascender option so you can take that special someone who may be getting too old for this level of physical work. Are we sore? yes. Are we happy about it? Absolutely!!! Would we do it again? In a second!!!

I had no idea how rare of an opportunity this was until I did it! It was such an incredible, unique experience and I would recommend it to all adventurous spirits and climbers, but especially plant, tree, and lichen lovers. The climbing itself is not like and other kind of climbing I've ever done and it's a little tricky to master, so good physical health is a must. It was difficult to find the group since I had no signal and the address I was given only said the name of the state forest, not the trailhead, but I'm so glad I managed to find them because it was absolutely unmissable. The view is sensational at every level. So few people get to see trees up close like this and even fewer from this high up! 12/10 hands down best experience of my two weeks in Washington, Oregon, or California!

AMAZING! Epic. I had such a magical experience and highly recommend it. This was such a special way to connect with nature while also getting a bit of adrenaline! The view from up top was just unreal. I have always wanted to live out the scene in twilight when Edward takes Bella up a massive old growth tree, AND I LIVED IT.

Our guide Leo was so knowledgeable and made us feel really safe as we scaled up these massive trees. I feel like this activity really can work for all skill levels

Overall, it's a unique experience. Me and my partner signed up together, but this would make such a perfect gift for friends, family, or partners!

Fun, unique, once-in-a-lifetime experience! I found out about this through researching things to do in Silver Falls State Park and really glad I stumbled upon it. It sounded too cool to pass up, and it did not disappoint. The same company offers tree climbing in Washington too and this is the first tree climb option in Oregon now. We chose the sunset option. The instructor was great and she taught us quickly and we practiced on a smaller tree. We had no experience prior and picked it up rather quickly. We then hiked to the to the actual designated tree to climb, with our guide, Brennan. The tree is one of the tallest in the area that has a great view overlooking the park's tree line. We took our time, was not rushed, was not tired out, and were not too sore the next day either. We repelled down rather quickly and hiked back with the provided headlights and felt 100% safe the entire time (during the ascent, descent, and night hike). You go up as you please, we took our time, and took many pictures and videos on our phones on the way up. Pro Tip: Have zipper pockets on your jacket or wear a sidepack that you can wear on your chest so you can easily take your phone or snacks in and out. Highly recommended!

Brennan and Annika were our climbing instructors. Both were very good at helping where needed and letting go when they knew things were right. We did the overnight camping experience, and lemme tell ya, it was absolutely fantastic. They did everything they could to make the stay and climb and fun and carefree( while maintaining safety responsibly), and were both very professional, and courteous. Will be going again, for certain.

The experience was amazing, we had a fantastic time. Leo was a great guide, that really helped us and let us experience it at our own pace. Leo helped us with the training, felt very safe and secure. It was amazing to see how birds see the world, albeit more challenging for us land-dwellers. Totally worth it

The whole experience was wonderful! Our guide, Brennan, was professional and careful. He explained the process and did a nice job of guiding. The experience of using the ascenders and descenders took some getting used to but we did it! The views from the top were amazing and rich and the experience of engaging with a 300 foot tree awe-inspiring. We would like to go again!
