      Pride, in word and deed
An excellent crew made the sail a delight! Attentive to any and every need, friendly and eager to help, and to be helped by the kids on board. The captain was professional, friendly, and entertaining. The boat is well maintained and beautiful. Of course, a sunny day with plenty of wind, didn’t hurt the experience any. Enjoyed this immensely.

Had a great trip with Captain Dan & Crew! It was really chill, enjoyable sail! Plan to do again on our next trip! Perfectly timed trip- not too short, not too long!

      Well worth it!
Perfect partly sunny day. Helped hoist up the sails. Calm quiet sail around the harbor and to the Ashley river. Great captain and crew. Beautiful clean ship.

Captain Dan and crew made the trip fabulous! He even played guitar while they sang Happy Birthday to me! Was the best part of our trip!

      An Affordable Dream
I have always wanted to sail. It's been a dream of mine most of my life. So not only was I able to see my dream through, but to do it on a 3 masted schooner was amazing. Watching them put up and sails was very cool. I was too scared to try it myself. But the captain gives you that opportunity. Luckily the rain we were expecting didn't happen. I honestly felt like I was on a high. cruising across the water with no motors in the background.. just the sound of the waves lapping on the side of the boat and the wind filling the sails. I would say the only issue that I had was that there was nothing on website for bad weather. There should be something on the website that states that the Schooner goes whether it's raining or not. Oh yeah my other complaint.. the sail is not long enough. Wish it was 2 to 3 hours instead of 1 1/2 hours. :-)

      Relaxing Ride on the Harbor
The late afternoon schooner ride was very relaxing. The crew worked hard to provide refreshments and entertaining stories. We saw plenty of dolphins and lovely sights.

      We would go again.
The time spent was great. The crew was extremely pleasant, the only drawback was the lack of wind. Nothing the crew could o about that!

      Wonderful experience
It was a wonderful trip. The crew were so nice. It was a peaceful ride. Love it and would do this again. My friend and I move very slow and have difficulty moving around. They were so kind about waiting for us and offering us assistance. I loved that they didn’t have a narrative tour and we were just able to enjoy the ride.

      Nice but Too short
Nice boat. Nice crew. Nice sail but too short suppose to last 90 min and was maybe 60 min. Didn't get very far before turning on motor and heading back. Beers were $10. Just saying

      Great cruise
This was a great cruise but would have liked to cruise closer to the shore to see sights rather than just in the middle of the harbor. Great Captain and Crew.

A friend of mine recommended this cruise to me and I’m super happy I listened. What a great way to end my Charleston trip. It was really fun watching the dolphins and the sunset and drinking until it gets dark. We were accompanied by good music and personable staff. There’s not much food selection but we had fun nevertheless. I will probably be back!

My mom and I loved the sunset sail! The sky was beautiful, and after sweating it out in the humidity all day, it felt great to be out on the water. Crew was friendly. I only wish that for the price, that one beverage or one photo would be included.

The sunset cruise was amazing and the perfect ending to our vacation. The weather was perfect and the views were beautiful. Also, the crew members were great and went out of their way to engage with every person on the cruise. They were willing to answer any questions or just chat. They were very friendly. I would recommend this sailing trip to anyone who visits Charleston.

This was me and my hubby’s favorite thing we did on our anniversary trip to Charleston. The sunset was stunning, the staff were funny and informative, and we saw several dolphins! This isn’t a narrated tour, but the guys are more than willing to answer any questions you may have. Don’t hesitate, book it!

The cruise is comfortable, easy to board, the crew is accommodating and quite helpful with the sights. Drinks are available. When the crew hoists the sales, it is a very calming and relaxing sail. We very much enjoyed it and highly recommend it.

We had a nice and relaxing evening on the sunset cruise. The weather and scenery were amazing. We saw lots of dolphins at the beginning of the cruise. The captain and crew were very friendly and attentive. They offer drinks to purchase and you can bring your own snacks. Parking is available at the Aquarium Parking Garage off Calhoun Street. It was a great way to end our trip to Charleston.

The crew was great! They were extremely friendly. We sat near the Captain, and we had great conversations with her. She even suggested a great place to eat afterwards! I highly recommend going on the Schooner Pride. Keep in mind, it is usually about 10 degrees cooler on the water than on land.

My wife and I went on the sunset cruise. Literally 500 yards from the dock the engine acted up so the Capt. Jenny raised the sails to complete the cruise as if this was the norm. Rather than return to the dock and risk having to refund everybody's money.
We sailed for 2 hours and the tired to go back to the dock. The engine ran for a little then died completely. So we spent the next hour sailing in the dark! Luckily an executive from the sailing company was on board and had some skills! 1hour later the engine started and we docked. What pisses me off is they said the called Seatow. But when we hit the doc I overheard the executive call them and thank them for standing by. Si Seatow wasn't even on the way! No power, lights and nobody on the way! Not very customer safety centric! Not to mention no place open to eat after getting back at 9:30 pm. At the dock Capt. Jenny says sorry it happens, now please tip our employees because they work for tips! So not only does this company risk your safety but they don't pay their employees. Wow, they earned this review!

This review is very misleading. The Schooner Pride absolutely pays the employees. Gratuities are never expected but appreciated for a job well done, which the crew did on this occasion. With any vessel, there are occasional mechanical issues that may arise, which are beyond our control. This does not happen often and we do our best to fix the problem immediately and passenger safety was never an issue on this cruise. Some guests even enjoyed extra time on the water. The crew even offered complimentary drinks for guests since they were on the boat longer than expected. SeaTow is not the solution in this case and would not have been there quickly. There are loads of restaurants in Charleston open long after 9:30. We're sorry you didn't find one.

The crew was very professional and gave the guests a great experience. The captain made sure we got to see the sunset and the whole cruise was relaxing and enjoyable. A great way to end a day! I would recommend this for couples and families.
