      Stunning Gardens and Interesting History
The old plantation house is interesting and filled with old antique pieces dating back to as early as the 1700s. The gardens are stunning. Recommend a visit.

Some Good Aspects & a Few Disapointments
The bus driver had an excellent command of Charleston history which he shared with us on the 45min trip. The plantation had nice gardens but the house was disappointing.

      Gorgeous Plantation
This is a must see attraction when in the Charleston | Savannah area. Incredible history and a magnificent plantation. So much to learn about the area and early families.

Very nice, but visit was way too short
Magnolia plantation was beautiful. Our driver Allen was very knowledgeable and friendly. However, our only complaint is that we arrived a little after 11:00 and the van was scheduled to leave at 2:15. Even though the plantation is open until 5:00. We were definitely disappointed with that because we expected to be able to stay the entire time. If we knew how short the visit would be, we would have obtained our own form of transportation to visit because we didn't get to see or do as much as we wanted.

Excellent, informative tour to, from, and around the beautiful Magnolia Plantation.
The driver/guide was very knowledgeable sharing a lot of information about Charleston and the Plantation to and from the property. At Magnolia Plantation, which we loved, he again gave us valuable information and guided us to the key places of interest as well as getting us "jump the queue" entrance to the MAgnolia mansion. Magnolia Plantation gardens and swamp tour are excellent and our guide round the former slave area was also very well informed and very helpful. We highly recommend

Much history and beauty can be found at this plantation
The grounds are beautiful with the tall oak trees lining the drive up to the house all with hanging moss. The gardens around the house were in full bloom. The house itself dates back to the early 1900’s so it is not the original.it is a private home and you can only see three rooms on the first floor. There is a Steinway piano in the living room that dates back to the late 1800’s. You can easily take an Uber to this location. They make it easy with a drop off and pick up station on the premises. The slave quarters and othe buildings go back to the period prior to the civil war

      See It All City Tour
Very good bus tour of Charleston. Our tour guide (Jay) was very knowledgeable. Although we didn't do it, I liked the option of being dropped off at the Charleston Market and taking the city bus back to the visitor center.

      Great Tour
Just went on this tour last Thursday. Luckily, we missed the storm here by 1 day. The grounds were a little muddy, so they didn't let us do the farm tour when we arrived. However, there is still so much to see. We had sandwiches at the market/store. Only problem is there is one line for both merchandise and food. Once I ordered food and went back line had doubled, so I didn't buy any souvenirs. We looked at the slave quarters and sat for the Gullah discussion. It was very interesting. Afterwards, we toured the 1st floor of the mansion. I had never visited a plantation before, glad I got to experience one. Drive into and back from the plantation went smooth. We hit a little traffic leaving town around 1 pm.

Lots of time to explore such a beautiful plantation.
Sean was our driver and has such a wonderful personality. He was punctual, friendly, professional, and did what he needed to do to make sure we had enough time to explore the various tours on the plantation.

      Great, but more time needed!
There just wasn’t enough time to do it all! We ended up missing our bus because of an on-site tram breakdown, so we just stayed an extra hour, thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, and got an Uber back to town.

      Excellent
The tour was entertaining and the tour guide was very friendly and knowledgeable. The only bad thing was that I hired the combo that included the tour of the city center and the boat tour. They canceled the boat portion of the tour, but refunded my money the next day. Excellent service!

Shawn was an excellent tour guide and very knowledgeable. We saw a great deal and was worth the money. This was the first activity we did upon our arrival to Charleston which was a great way to begin our time here and learn some history of the city. However, I wish we could’ve had opportunity to stop and get out of bus to take pictures. It was an enclosed bus and with glare on the windows, we couldn’t really get any pictures. I would highly recommend this tour!

Shawn was very knowledgeable about Charleston and gave us as much information as he possibly could throughout the tour. You can tell he is very passionate about the history. He talks excitedly and enthusiastically even though he’s been giving tours for 33 years! He also has some pretty good jokes! Highly recommend this tour and I would book this same tour again on the next visit to Charleston! Ask for Shawn with Adventure Sightseeing!

I booked this tour so my friend who has never been to Charleston could see the beauty of this city. At least half of our tour was spent in poor, run-down areas and the Citadel. Whereas I appreciate Charleston has a rich, African cultural past and I was happy to see the Citadel, I felt we were rushed through the parts of Charleston I wanted my friend to see. The guide constantly pulled over and stopped in places where there was really nothing to see...he just talked for a few minutes which wasted valuable time on a 90-minute tour. I’m glad the tickets were only $32 or would have felt annoyingly ripped off!

Great customer service and a wealth of knowledge in the tour. First we missed our scheduled tour due to weather, the tour operator gladly rescheduled our tour which was great. We arrived at the Visitor Center and it was easy to find pick up location.

Benji was our tour guide and he took us all around Charleston and we learned and really enjoyed our tour.

Heads up you can get off at the end of the tour at the Market Place which we did and shopped a little and then walked down the street to have some oysters.

All in all great value for the money. We typically use Red Bus to tour a new city, but air conditioned tour bus is great in July in Charleston.

We needed a tour by bus that did not require getting on and off. We wanted something that would give us a lot of Charleston History. This tour with Shawn Matticks as our guide exceeded our expectations! Shawn has been a tour guide in Charleston for over 30 years and his knowledge of the area is wonderful. He does not waste any time at all during the tour....he is educating you as to the history of the area for the entire 90 minuets. If you are looking for a tour that truly gives you more than you paid for, book this city tour and make sure Shawn is your guide.

Booked the tour with my family which included small children (4, 7, 8) and had a great time. Alan was our tour guide and he was extremely knowledgeable and provided great context with the sights. Weather was cold but inside the bus was very comfortable. Would definitely recommend this tour for 1st time visitors or anyone wanting a quick history overview of Charleston!

The older tour guide was very knowledgeable about the city and we learned a lot. However, I’m sure there was quite a bit he didn’t remember. Unfortunately, we were very uncomfortable about the way he was ogling woman when we had gotten out by the water. He continued to stare at their crotches and derrières as they past while he was giving his speech. It was disgusting, blatant and unprofessional. I would not recommend this tour if this guide is heading it.

We thoroughly enjoyed our bus tour with Shawn as our guide. He is knowledgeable & oh so amusing. We only have a day & a half in the Holy City & we felt we learned so much from this trip. We understand so much about the houses, neighborhoods, churches & history of this fantastic 8 mile square peninsula from hopping on this comfy air conditioned bus. We are older & could never have gotten to all these unbelievable & lovely places on our own in such a short amount of time. If you want more than seafood & bars, please, take this tour. Totally worth every penny.

Easy way to get an overview of Charleston. Al was very knowledgeable and flexible. He stopped the bus at several points so we could get out and take pictures. At the end of the tour he gave us the choice of being of being dropped at the city market or our starting point

Family with a young child, a tween, and a teen, all enjoyed the tour. I was worried that the kids would lose attention because we were in a shuttle and not walking or on the carriage tour, but I shouldn’t have worried. The tour guide was very informative and entertaining. We got to see so much! We drove through College of Charleston, Rainbow Row, Citadel and so much more. We stopped at the City Market and was able to get off to do shopping, then waited at a stop (about 15-20 minutes) for the tour bus to come back through. And considering the heat, I was definitely glad we went with the tour bus option!
