Stop: 3 hours - Admission included
Charleston's acclaimed Chef Forrest Parker guides you along an undiscovered path where food and history meet on in historic Charleston, distilling 400 years into a walking tour experience culminating with a cooking demonstration and three course tasting of the iconic flavors of the South Carolina Lowcountry. Chef Forrest leads you on a 90 minute walking tour unlike any other in the city, as the only certified chef tour guide, exploring the complicated history of the Holy City and the culinary influences that shaped Charleston into one of the world's top food destinations. You'll visit the not-to be missed sights, but also the lesser known and understood locations where, for example, an enslaved chef created a recipe that still helps define local menus. The tour concludes at a cozy bistro where you relax while Chef Forrest demonstrates how to prepare the recipes he wrote interpreting definitive Lowcountry classics, and prepared using techniques he mastered over two decades. You'll enjoy a lunch with each of those courses carefully paired with wine, and then take his recipes home with you as our gift to you.

Have traveled and taken a number of tours when visiting Charleston in the past, but this one stands miles above any we've taken before. During the tour we were entertained with a historical understanding of the development of the Lowcountry cuisine. The tour provides a great

I have done other historical tours of Charleston and this one had an interesting slant while still covering the basics. The lunch prepared by Chef Forrest Parker was terrific, entertaining to watch him prepare the meal in a delightful bistro setting with wine and dessert.

We have taken several tours in Charleston in the past few days, and hundreds of tours across the world... And chef Forrest does one of THE BEST TOURS we have ever taken. His knowledge of this city is uncanny. But the chef lunch was by far the best part.. it made it even better

Amazing tour, and very personable. Chef Forrest takes you through much of the history of Charleston. I learned about the general history, architecture, and food / drink staples all in just a couple hours. And to finish it off, he makes a KILLER multi-course food and wine
