Your tour begins with pickup from your downtown Nashville hotel. Drive 30 minutes to the Hermitage, a plantation that was once home to former president Andrew Jackson. Visit the museum, explore the mansion, and wander through the grounds. See old farm buildings, slave sites, a tulip grove, church, and more.

Stop for a Southern buffet lunch on the Hermitage grounds (own expense) before heading to the Belle Meade Plantation, also known as the Queen of Tennessee Plantations. Once a thoroughbred horse farm and nursery in the 19th century, the mansion has an original stable, carriage house, dairy, slave cabins, and more to tour. When finished, stop for a wine tasting at the Belle Meade Plantation.

The tour ends with drop-off at your hotel.

Lots of History

Belmeade Plantation was very interesting with beautiful landscapes. The horse racing history was intriguing. The tour was followed by a wine tasting and some on your own time to wander the property. Lunch at the smorgasbord was average. We went to the Hermitage on Labor...More

Buyer Beware

The tour itself and not the sites was disappointing. You would really be better off just taking an Uber to these 2 historic sites and paying normal entrance and/tour fees. The first stop was interesting worked out fine, but we didn't receive any benefit from...More

Lots of History

The tour was a great way to see two beautiful plantations from the 1800s. It was convenient being picked up and dropped off at our hotel (especially in the hot weather). Belle Meade has a lot of horse racing history involved. It was neat to...More

Both homes were very interesting. We did not have to wait on line at all. The gardens at the Hermitage were beautiful. A lunch stop was included. While I appreciate a lunch stop because it was a long day, it was a $12 pp all...More

Thanks for the compliment. Sorry I don't have a better idea than using Lyft or Uber . . . but that's the way I would go. Belle Meade and the Hermitage are at opposite sides of the city, so you can visit them as separate... More

I saw two horses on the property, back when I visited in July. They are obviously not race horses. They were grazing in the fenced areas...one was close enough to the walkway, we could see it fairly close up.

Check to see which hotels are included - there is a Ist. We were staying at a condo and were able to walk to a nearby hotel on their list for pickup and drop off.
