Informative, fun and moving- a must see in Nashville!
We went here Saturday morning and can't remember the name of the sweet and spunky woman who gave the tour but she also works in TV. She was a pleasure. Several people, myself included, had tears on our eyes at different points in the tour (videos) and the tour guide had us laughing while she shared so much information. There is a photo taken at the end that you may purchase and I felt it was a decent price. Too much higher and folks would likely not purchase it. I highly recommend this tour.

    Warm and friendly tour
It was so cool to see the place you see on TV from the stage. Our tour guide Ted was funny and had some great stories. I learned some things too!

A must visit when you’re there.
Wasn’t sure what to expect but it was well worthwhile. It’s all wheelchair friendly and the staff / guides are very helpful. There is an opportunity to get your photo taken on Stage but I was disappointed to see how much they charge for it, I think it was around 30$🧐. A great experience and worth while.

DISAPOINTING AND NOT WORTH THE MONEY
The lounge was over sold so there was very limited seating. They ran out of food and what little was served, was very poor quality. We were not given enough time to get picture with photographer. I would not recommend anyone spending the extra money for this. Extremely disappointed.

    Can’t wait to go again!
The acoustics are amazing and everyone sounded great! Wasn’t expecting the brisket flatbread to be as good as it was. (All the food is pre-made grab and go). The tour after the show was interesting but there were only supposed to be 10 people or less in our group and we had almost 30. That was my only complaint.

Back stage tour cancelled last minute
Excellent experience and great acts, staff very helpful and good options for food and drink, the backstage tour was cancelled at the end of the show which was disappointing and would have been nice to have been asked to go to customer service to be able to come back and see it as we were looking forward to this part, on the plus side we were upgraded to front row seats.

    Not to be missed!
This absolutely was one of the best tours we have ever been on. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and we were very surprised at how the tour really and truly was behind the scene. Great value and not to be missed.

Phenomenal performances! Celebrating Little Big Town’s 25 years as a band and 10 years as Opry members. Vince Gill, Oak Ridge Boys and others. Post- show backstage tour was terrific. Don’t miss this experience!

    BACKSTAGE!
So much history! And you get to see it all. We had a wonderful tour guide who gave us lots of insider information and had a nice pace. We were able to see the Roy Acuff house and walk over to see the Opryland Hotel, too.

DO NOT USE "Vacations made easy" website or telephone line to book tickets to the Grand Ole Opry. My parents bought 2 tickets to the Grand Ole Opry through this agency. When I called to see if we could add a 3rd ticket and still sit together, the "supervisor" Shelby said they couldn't guarantee that we could sit together and that it would take up to 72 hrs. to make the changes. Are you kidding me? They charge a fee to supposedly make things "easy". When I told her that I could buy my own tickets through the Grand Ole Opry website real-time and without their outrageous handling fees, she became nasty, unprofessional, to the point that I asked to cancel the tickets at a $100 loss. I rather give them a beggar's sympathy fee than do business with an agency that has such nasty supervisors. They should change the name of the agency to "Vacations that make life miserable". Avoid doing business with this agency, it is better to go directly to the venue's website.

It was fun to say we went to the Grand Ole Opry for a concert. However the cost for the tickets and the need to buy them prior to knowing what performers are booked isn't great. If we had a good performer, it would have been awesome and worth the money for the concert.
I would not buy the VIP room tickets. The line was long for the 2 drink tickets you get and the food was horrible. It was Costco frozen, heated up appetizers. They indicate local food. That was not the case. We found out there was popcorn in the main concession area but you have to buy it. They close it at 8:30 so we were only able to use one of the two drinks. While the performer who came in to talk was fine. It was not worth $75 pp for VIP on top of the $150 pp tickets.

This is a “must do” experience for everybody. We purchased tickets back in January not knowing who was going to play. We ended up with Carrie Underwood and DARE we say she may not have been the best act there! First of all, let’s just say the venue although not the most beautiful you will ever experience, but the acoustics and ease of entry and exit are phenomenal. The food is super expensive; eat before you come and don’t plan on eating near the Grand Ole Opry. The only food places we saw near the Grand Ole Opry itself were chain places in the mall next door. That is the only negative of the whole experience, but any venue that tries to feed thousands of people has to be mass produced and expensive. They had a comedian just before the grand finale (Carrie Underwood) named James Gregory who was funny, but did not seem to be Grand Ole Opry level entertainment. Carrie Underwood was a great performance although each performer at the Opry is only allowed 3 songs. She did not talk much and we speculated that time got tight at the end as the Grand Ole Opry is (and always has been) a live radio show broadcast nationally and internationally so it has to end on time. I think they darn near had to give Mr. Gregory the hook to get him off stage. All of the acts were great and included ones that were invited back from years previous for a reprise, such as Riders in the Sky with a 90 year old fiddle player who was unbelievable. There are always surprises at the Opry, so just buy your tickets for the seats you want well in advance and let it happen. We did not take the back stage tour, but wish we would have. Buy your parking in advance just for simplicity. Arrive early for photo opportunities out front with the big guitars. The staff at the Opry were all fantastic and we did not have any negative experiences from the moment we hit the parking lot. Plan on taking a few pictures or do the tour after in order to let traffic dissipate.

Terry Bradshaw, the former quarterback and current TV host, received a standing ovation at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville this evening, appearing with The Isaacs. They brought down the house when they sang “Keep Me Safe” in honor of the victims of yesterday’s tornado in Nashville. Bradshaw actually has a great voice and stage presence!

Other performing highlights included Dustin Lynch and Trace Adkins, though everyone did a good job. If you enjoy country music, make plans to attend a show at the truly grand, Grand Ole Opry!

We thoroughly enjoyed our Grand Ole Opry visit.

The seats all appeared to have good sight lines, the acoustics and atmosphere are very good. The auditorium appeared full.

On our visit we particularly enjoyed Jason Crabb and Ricky Skaggs

We took an Uber out from the Thompson Hotel in Nashville and booked one back as we left the show. We did not need to as there were many drivers outside (it is very busy ) offering lifts - you will need to negotiate a fare.

We bought tickets online for a Saturday night when the show is on WSM radio in Nashville. The Opry is in the same huge parking lot as The Opry Mills Shopping Center. We drove the 10 miles to the auditorium from our hotel and got into a huge traffic jam in the parking lot. All of the restaurants in the shopping center were booked up for hours so we went to the opry and waited to get in at 6:00 PM for the 7:00 PM performance. We had to get our dinner and drinks at the limited food service locations inside the Opry Theater. The show started at 7:00 PM and there were seven performers. The acts were all good but the only one that I was familiar with was Ricky Skaggs. His band was the best of the night. The only drawback to the night was the very long walk back to our car.

Oh my goodness, what an experience! It just has to be seen to be believed. We saw 8 acts including Vince Gill, and all were excellent. The timings were strictly adhered to, with each act getting 15 minutes maximum, so the show lasted 2 and a quarter hours with an interval. Church pew type seating, but padded, wide and very roomy. The sound system was awesome. One of our best ever evenings. Only downside…. well you’re a captive audience, and you can’t take food or drink inside. So expect to pay $12 for a small beer, small wine or a single shot. A large whisky was $23. Even the ‘snack’ store charged $15 for a can of Jack Daniels and coke. But… not withholding that, it was an excellent evening, and we were prepared to pay a bit more to thoroughly enjoy it.

We wanted to bring our kids to the Opry after we had visited years ago and it was amazing. The Opry is a special place and holds an important spot in country music history.

It was a disappointing visit. The video at the beginning of the performance shows "Today's Biggest Stars" but they are not to be seen during the performance. There were few performers under the age of 60. It seems that the Opry needs to reevaluate their lineup and find some who may appeal to a slightly younger audience if the show wants any continuity into the future. I wouldn't recommend a show to my peers and certainly not ones with children, just because it wasn't very relatable. My parents who are in their 70s would have liked it very much, though. This isn't to say there weren't talented performers, but they were mostly old acts that no longer tour.

I do appreciate that the show was family-friendly and fun. The emcee did a great job and so did the performers. However, getting some fresh faces would be a good move for the Opry. I believe the Opry is a great institution and for what they charge patrons for tickets, they could hire some new performers.

Pre-paid parking at the Opry was easy and cost about $24. It was a short walk to the auditorium. We didn't purchase food or drinks at the venue, but the people sitting behind us sure seemed to enjoy the beverages. Too bad every place now pushes alcohol sales which does affect the audience experience whether one drinks or not. :(

We went twice over the course of our trip (follow their FB page to see about possible discount codes - we scored a 90s week discount code that got us front balcony seats our second time for $35).

It's a staple of Nashville and with good reason. Always an excellent variety of acts, and an introduction to artists you might not be aware of. We've got whole new playlists created off of the folks we saw at both performances.

Food is available on site (everything from popcorn/candy/cookies to to-go sandwiches and ice cream bars). Restrooms are plentiful and well maintained. Parking can be pre-purchased for a slightly cheaper rate. It may be possible to park in the next door mall parking lot instead for free, but we didn't attempt that. An extensive gift shop is also available to peruse.

Seats are excellent almost regardless of where you are. Prefer centered sections like 19, 20, 21. Video screens are also set up so you miss no action on stage.

Not country music fans in particular but hey, this is Nashville, you gotta go to the Opry, right? We did.

Fun time at the new venue (not the Ryman). About half an hour ($25 Uber ride) outside of town but worth getting to, comfy pew-like seats, great sound and technicals, with food and drinks (including alcohol) for sale that you can take to your seats.

Worth doing just to say you've done it!
