  • Round-trip transportation from most San Francisco hotels
  • Enjoy wine tastings without worrying about driving
  • Instantly share memories of your day with free WiFi available
What to expect
  • After early morning pickup at your San Francisco hotel, sit back and enjoy the scenery as you cross the Golden Gate Bridge on the way out of the city. Arrive at Muir Woods before most of the crowds, and take some time to explore, strolling the paths through the towering redwoods. Your guide will be right there to answer any questions. Back on the bus, stop first at a winery in Sonoma County’s Carneros region to taste a flight of different vintages. Take a break for lunch, and choose either to venture out on your own or upgrade for an included lunch with wine pairings. Next, hit the second and third wineries. Tasting fees are included, saving money you may want to put toward purchasing a bottle. Enjoy the scenery or snooze on the drive back to San Francisco.

Roman made this tour worth the price of admission. We went during Metallica's 40th anniversary shows. Ended up meeting two other couples that were there for the same reason. Roman was like a bonus extremely funny, stand up comedian material, and very knowledgeable about the area. We are not huge wine drinkers but wanted to take in all of San Francisco (Napa and Sonoma) in our short three days. Definetly would recommend this company and hope you get Roman.

Meeting nice people with shared interests is one of the great benefits of being on tour and our guides work hard to "mix it up". Glad you enjoyed Roman's "show". Take care.

The muir forest is so regal and serene
The wineries were a let down..
The first winery Ken Huang wines were terrible tasting
The second winery we sat outside in the cold when there was a nice patio with heaters that we couldn't use
The last winery Mayo was better but again the wines were not very good

The scenery at the wineries was amazing

The gourmet lunch was ok but not worth the money spent..the paired wines was barely enough to fill a shot glass.
Desert is extra...

The Golden Gate at night was awesome

I would do the Muir Forest and the Golden Gate again.. but not the wineries..

The wineries you are visiting are small operations and the wines seem to be a work in progress

Good to hear that, overall, your day was enjoyable. Wines are very subjective and we're disappointed to hear that they did not please your group. Let's discuss our Satisfaction Guarantee at (415) 357-0700.

Roman, our guide, was able to provide in depth information about wineries and area in general. The tour included a tour of Muir Woods to see the redwood trees followed by about an hour drive to visit 3 wineries in Napa/Sonoma valley area all of which provided wine tasting and winery information. The lunch at Sonoma Square Plaza Bistro was very good. Recommend the salmon sandwich or a cheddar burger. Don’t forget to try the raspberry mini donuts next door! Two more stops included an outdoor market with fresh fruit/vegetable/nuts and drinks. Trip wrapped up with night bus stop of the Golden Gate Bridge for pictures. I must say this was a very enjoyable and relaxing tour worth spending the entire day with your spouse, significant other, or friends.

We disappointed to hear you were not enthused about the wine tastings. Wine is very subjective. Nevertheless, we're glad to know that you enjoyed Muir Woods and the other attractions on the tour. Next time, you might want to try our Wine Lovers tour which has a different selection of Napa Valley wines. Take care.

We had a fantastic day with Ben as our guide yesterday! At each stop we never felt rushed yet we can't believe how much we got in during the day! This was a girl's trip to San Francisco and we enjoyed the redwoods and being able to see 3 difference wineries and learning about them as well as tasting all the wine. This also make us want to come back to CA to spend more time in Napa Valley/Sonoma. We couldn't have asked for a better day trip and Ben made it even more fun.

We enjoyed Roman, a very knowledgeable and amusing tour guide. However, there were a couple of incidents that I am highlighting.

It rained during our visit to Muir Woods. Roman stated several times to us on the tour that he would leave the park by 10:20am sharp. However, he prioritized a run in the woods and got back to the tour bus at 10:25am letting all of us sit in the cold rainy weather. Most of us got to the bus 10-15 minutes early, trying to get back on a warm, open bus but unfortunately sat in the unfavorable elements awaiting our tour guide to finish his run, as Roman locked up the bus.

Roman stopped at a produce stand on the way back. He came back on the bus first with a large bag of produce / grocery items. We did not favor this stop as it seemed that he stopped because of his needs. Those that were traveling, i.e. staying in hotels, etc. would not need produce for their hotel stay or trip back home. It was an odd stop for a Muir Woods and wine tour.

Roman repeatedly emphasized tipping . He suggested a couple of times to tip $20, as well as make other analogies of a tipping percentage like you would if you enjoyed a good meal at a restaurant. I feel many gave him generous tips because Roman brought up the topic many times and folks may have felt shamed to tip him.

He did make another off-agenda stop of the Golden Gate Bridge - that was fun.

The tour was a nice combination of activity in the morning then relaxing in the afternoon. Muir Woods was stunning and the wineries were a good mix to get a feel for the area. Roman did a great job of keeping us informed and giving us tips on what to look for at each stop.
