We have recently returned from a seventeen day holiday in California, working our way up the coast using Amtrak trains and buses. As we had no car we needed a tour to visit Yosemite and Lake Tahoe. We couldn't have chosen a better tour and it was certainly the icing on the cake for our holiday. Our guide Phil was a very personable guy who made every effort to make the tour interesting and enjoyable. Phil was very knowledgeable about the history, the geology, the environment and the people of the places we visited. He was always flexible and catered for everyone's interests and physical ability. My husband and I are in our seventies and whilst we are quite fit for our age we found this tour relaxed and manageable. The rest of the people on our tour were a great bunch and easy to get along with. I would certainly recommend this tour, our experiences were unforgettable and definitely enriched by our guides knowledge. Thanks Phil.

          Wonderful Adventure
My husband and I took this tour with Lisa as a guide. We had such a great time. Lisa was very knowledgeable and cared about all the participants. We were a group of 7 and enjoyed getting to know the others from different states and countries. Muir woods was spectacular. The beauty and peacefulness of these giant trees was amazing. The walking was the perfect amount for someone in their 60s. From there we went to Sonoma for a wonderful lunch and shopping. We especially enjoyed the little boutique stores. Our adventure continued to both wineries in Sonoma and Napa where we were able to sample wines and learn how the grapes are grown and the wine was made. After a brief stop to view the Golden Gate Bridge with the fog coming in we were returned to our hotel. Don’t miss this trip it is a great way to spend a day in San Francisco.

          Great view, great trip
The view is amazing, but we didn’t see the half dome. We were told that would be an another trip. The suspension of the bus might be broken, we felt like the bus was made in 50 years ago. Other wise everything was fine. Jordon is a good guy.

          Spectacular Yosemite
Yosemite National Park is spectacular and this day tour is a small introduction to somewhere it would be worth staying at for a few days. It was nice to do the trip as a small group and our guide, Lisa, was friendly and informative. We had various stop off points for photos and time to do a trail. There is a choice of trails which you do without a guide. We would have found plaques/sign posts along the trail helpful as it was confusing in places. We saw three 'information points', but none of them was maned. It was also difficult to find the pick up point for the tour bus as the car parks all look the same. The journey to Yosemite is very long, but worth it to see such an amazing place.

          Re-booked
After much research, we booked a wine tour with Incredible Adventures. We were looking forward to the smaller group size of this tour. They re-booked us with their "partner" company Gray Line on a larger coach bus. I guess in hindsight, I'd suggest just booking with Gray Line directly.

          Great tour!
Such am amazing place to visit & definitely worth the day-trip. Our tour guide was a young lady (can't remember her name sorry) and she was brilliant - so enthusiastic & helpful, and clearly knew her stuff about Yosemite. The tour itself starts with a stop to tour the Sequoia trees (which is quite a hilly walk), but these huge trees are worth the walk. I had assumed that the tour guide would have come with us for the walking bits to talk us through the sights during the short hikes, but to be honest there is a written guide/map for the park, plus lots of signs along the way, so you don't really need an in-person tour guide for the whole day. Once you've seen the Sequoias, you then go to the main valley of the park where most of the main sites are & you spend a couple of hours doing the hikes there around some very breath-taking scenery. We had a slight issue on the day where our original bus broke down, which caused us a slight delay, but this was rectified by the company & a new bus arrived later on. And that just allowed us to spend a bit more time in the Valley to enjoy those sights. Overall I would definitely recommend both the tour and the guide that we had on the day!

          Interesting trip
Many thanks to Brendan for the shared love of Yosemite and careful driving on the curvy mountain roads. We enjoyed all the comments about the local agriculture and California history.

Just an okay tour. Do it if you didn't get a reservation and you want to see the Park..
The park otself was great. The tour itself was just okay. The guide kept on emphasizing that we should tip, which was very distasteful. He did provide a few facts about the area which was good. Wasn't very personable, friendly or sociable. Overall just okay.

Amazing day trip - so worth it!!
An absolutely amazing day trip to Yosemite! The bus ride takes a while but it is so worth it! Noah, our tour guide, was fantastic. He ensured our comfort and safety throughout the day and was always on hand to answer any questions and offer guidance. He went above and beyond and it really made the whole experience. We were given 3 hours free time in the park, and managed to complete one of the more technical hikes to see the waterfall. So the time allotted is more than enough! If you get the chance to do this tour, do it! Absolutely 10/10.

          Fabulous day out!
This was a great way to see both Muir Woods and Sausalito in one easy package. The first stop is a viewing point of Golden Gate Bridge where you can take some snaps, then on to Muir Woods. The woods are very beautiful and impressive, but also relaxing. Our tour guide was super friendly and energetic, gave lots of great tips too. One note to mention would be that the road to and from Muir is very windy, so I would be mindful if you get motion sickness!!

Ok tour - not bad but not great
A very ok tour, great for transportation but our guide didn't really share any local/historical stories about the city. It felt like going on a drive where the driver was pointing out all the neighbourhoods. Not bad but would have appreciated some more context about the places we visited.

          Great tour, poor transport.
This was a great tour. Our guide Lisa was fantastic, very knowledgeable and chatty. Obviously Yosemite speaks for itself, beautiful. The only negative was the bus was not very comfortable for such a long journey ( 5 hours each way). The door did not close properly, so the noise was awful. Hence 4 stars.

Great trip to experience what is outside of San Francisco
Everything was good! The pick up was on time and Jay introduced us to others on the tour, so no awkwardness at all. He explained everything clearly; we chose to sit in the back and could hear everything. He checked that we were ok sitting there since there were some winding roads. Thoughtful! Jay took pictures for us, recommended paths to walk in Muir Woods, listed various restaurants for lunch, asked how we were enjoying the trip, and was very friendly. We went to two wineries; both had beautiful seating and views. One was certainly a favorite of the whole group. Rudy at Ru Vango was knowledgeable, friendly and entertaining. There was no push to buy, but we found some we really enjoyed so took some home. It was the right amount of time at each stop. The drop off afterwards was easy. A fun day and worth the price!

We had the pleasure of a 2 day one night tour in Yosemite with guide James and a small group this week. We had the most fantastic time with James who was both knowledgeable and enthusiastic to share everything with us all. Being a small group of 13 each person was made to feel included and James made sure to answer all of our questions and speak to us all individually.
Yosemite is one of the most beautiful places to visit and the 2 days were spent well. The first day we were mainly escorted and then delivered to our destination hotels within or just outside the park in the early evening. Such a full day, we were absolutely shattered. The park hotels are very basic and the food halls don’t offer much choice really, but it was adequate and the bedrooms were comfortable enough for one night. The second day was ‘free time’ and James gave us options and delivered us to our starting points for hikes, ambles around lakes etc etc. we were to meet at a specific time mid afternoon and then we proceeded to have our final look at El Capitane as a group before starting the long trip back to San Francisco. Stops were allocated for bathroom and food breaks and we were delivered back to our hotel mid evening.
Our only small niggle was the very unspecific arrangements for pick up, very early the first morning. Although it stated an address near our hotel and a time of 6.30 we were still waiting at 7.10 and in fact on the phone to the office to see what had happened when the mini bus arrived. Luckily we were found but it was all a bit confusing.. a method of contact the day before with a more specific location and time would be helpful, especially when you are in a strange city!

This review is late and for that I apologize, I went on the 2 day tour (9th &10th of May) to Yosemite National Park with my friend and Lana was our tour guide she was great and was very knowledgeable about the different areas that we saw and the whole park in general, she was able to answer any questions me or my friend may have had with ease, I would highly recommend this tour if you are thinking about doing as you see alot and are free to roam around the park by yourself. Accomodation is provided for the night and we stayed in a roadside motel which was very nice. Thank you for an enjoyable experience.

The private tour of Yosemite was a bit disappointing overall. Having a driver for the trip to Yosemite was nice but, for the cost, what the guide provided was minimal. While we were at Yosemite, the guide left us to do a 2 hour hike, which was fine, but then picked us up afterward, did a couple photo stops and then dropped us off at our hotels for the day.....so spent about an hour actually with us in the park taking us to some photo spots. Then the next morning, the guide picked us up from our hotel and dropped us off for the next 7 hours to hike, shop, etc before driving us all back to SF. There was no contact number for the guide in case we had any problems during the 7 hours which seemed strange. We expected a more comprehensive drive throughout the park with more information given to us about Yosemite. Instead, we were dropped off in the Valley to do our thing. We could have driven to the park ourselves and done some hikes for a lot less money.

We had a fantastic time in Yosemite. Booked this trip instead of hiring a car, guide and making our own way there and so glad we did. Travelling in a comfortable air conditioned mini coach was way preferable than the stress of trying to get there ourselves, plus we learned lots of things along the way we’d never have known thanks to our great guide, Parker. He picked us up from our hotel in SF early on day 1 and spent the next 2 days making our trip as easy, informative and fun as possible. He knew loads about Yosemite and the surrounding area and made sure we didn’t miss anything. We had plenty of free time too, but he was happy to make suggestions of what we should do and where we should go (I recommend swimming in the lower falls - just incredible!) The trip was a perfect balance of guided time and time to explore alone. Plenty of good snack stops too! I would highly recommend this trip if you are in SF and want to check out one of the most stunning places on this planet. If you don’t have enough time to do the overnight trip you can still see plenty in one day so don’t be put off!

We couldn’t fault it. We are aged 82 and 86 and we managed fine. It is geared towards some hiking but lots of alternative activities were suggested by the fantastic, competent tour guide/driver, Eileen. She has to be one of the best we have encountered and we have been to 45 countries. It was a mini bus tour with 13 passengers, of 10 different nationalities and we all got on so well. They were friendly, clever and funny. We really did have great fun and that is what Eileen wanted, also for us to be safe and she always made sure of that. We learnt so much and loved the spectacular scenery which was simply breathtaking. Eileen’s driving, navigation, parking and energy was superb. She worked so hard to make sure we all had a great experience and it certainly was. The company are fortunate to have her in their employ. If we ever got the opportunity we’d travel with them again and hope we got Eileen!

We have just arrived back from a beautiful tour with our guide Britney. Britney was extremely friendly and helpful throughout our tour, particularly in managing guests who tried to bring large luggage. It's important to remember the bus can only take a gym sized bag per person. Britney was very knowledgeable about Yosemite and San Francisco and gave us some really interesting and fun facts during the drive.
Our drive out took approx 4 hours and we stopped at a large grocery store along the way. When we arrived we did a short trek and then we were driven to a number of amazing photo stops (these covered most of the valley trail). We had an issue with our phone and thought we had lost all of our day one photos - Britney was very helpful and offered to drive us back to the photo stops on day 2 (thankfully the photos were recovered). On day 2 we had around 7 hours of free time to use as we chose, however Britney had provided excellent suggestions and dropped everyone off where they wanted that morning. As per her suggestion we did the Mist trail, which was moderately difficult and then Mirror lake (not challenging) followed by a swim at Swinging Bridge which was a perfect way to end a warm day. We then got back on the bus at 3pm for our drive back to San Francisco, along with Britney's excellent playlist. Overall, it was a wonderful trip, made all the better by such a helpful and bubbly guide.

Yosemite is an amazing place with fantastic views.
It's a long drive from San Francisco, but we did have plenty of stops and breaks.
It took a long time to get out of the city as there was multiple pickups.
Our driver had done the trip many times which showed as he seemed to have very little enthusiasm. He was just basically shouting out landmarks as we passed them. Was also rude at the times to people.
When we were picked up we told him our accommodation but he said we were at another lodge outside the park. However when we got there there were no keys for us, so had to drive back into the park. This added an hour to an already long day and only left us 20 minutes to get food before the restaurant shut.
Would highly recommend Yosemite but not with Incredible Adventures.

If you are like me and in between renting a car and driving to the Yosemite or this trip... especially solo travelers.... just click book now! This was all around a perfect trip!

Our tour guild, Jill, did a fantastic job of showing us all "the spots" of the park and she knew the place like the back of her hand! We saw a lot of places, I probably would have never found on my own and they were the ones with the best views. (Jill was also a great road trip DJ)

The tour was a mix of solo travelers, couples, and families, and once I entered the van at pick up, I never stopped smiling! Being a solo traveler, I felt very welcomed!

For lodging, I stayed at Cedar Lodge which was just a bit outside the park. Nothing fancy, but a solid place to rest after a long, long day! If I was to do this again, I probably woud have chosen to stay in-park just to have the experience of seeing the Yosemite at night.

Have just spent 2 weeks in America and this was the absolute highlight. Our guide, James, was amazing and showed us all the amazing highlights of the park, giving us time to see the spectacular scenery and lots of information. We saw everything without feeling rushed. On the second day we had free time in the park to do what we wanted, enough time to do a decent walk. Yosemite is so beautiful and a total must. I would definitely go again and would highly recommend Incredible Advetures. The organisation and communication was excellent.

We had an absolutly amazing trip to Yosemite from San Francisco. Our guide shared a lot of great info on the areas we drove by and created a good athmospher on the trip. He shared personal experiences from the park which was very cool. The nature was amazing and our guide took us to a lot of beautyfull spots around the gigantic park on the first day of the trip. On the second day we had around five hours of free time and it was a great experience to hike around the nature on our own. Our guide gave us a many suggestions to hikes and to do's in the park during this free time. The only negative thing to share about this trip is that out guide drove uncomfortable. Note that is it much better to stay of one of the hotels inside of the park than outside on the Cedar Lodge.
