      Great Viewing
Beautiful scenery. We were able to see five humpback whales and a dozen, or so, harbor porpoises. Four of the humpback whales were particularly active and playful. This made for a wonderful experience. Guides offer a narrated tour and answer questions. In order to hear best, I would recommend the lower deck. For the best viewing, I would recommend the upper deck. Bring a jacket, even in warm weather. Overall, we had a great time and I plan to do this again.

      Choose this over the Train
It did the job! The pier is pretty, the views and bar offerings were meh. However, I'd still recommend because we met a lovely couple and once you get to Salem you can literally walk straight into the town. It was fast and efficient.

      Wonderful experience
This was once in a lifetime experience. Our moderator Kate and all the other crew people knew everything about the whales. We even saw a breach of whales. Also saw minky whales and seals. It was very windy and cold on a ship, so it is necessary to bring a jacket. I would choose the company again.

      A whaley good time.
I was very nervous about doing this trip out to see the whales as I travel very badly on ships. The weather was not great but I listened to the announcements being made as we boarded and found a spot right at the back of the boat and right in the centre and, combined with the travel pills I'd taken, that seemed to work and I felt fine. Be advised, it takes at least 90 minutes to get to the place where the whales are and once you are out of Boston Harbour and pick up speed, it gets very cold. We saw plenty of whales once we got to the right spot in the ocean. The guide was great, very knowledgeable, informative and entertaining. The whales come right up to the boat. Just be prepared to move around quickly when they are spotted because everyone rushes from one side of the boat to the other with little regard for other passengers. On the way back we stopped several time because other whales or sharks had been spotted so we did get back quite late. On the whole, it was a good trip and I'm glad I made myself do it.

Extremely horrifying...ended up turning around but shouldn't of even taken out!
Weather was horrible...they should of canceled n refunded before getting us all so sick! They offered to have us reschedule but we we're leaving out of town so had to just go...than a hour into trip they turned us round! Unprofessional!

The ferry was extremely convenient. It saved us the headache of parking so that we could enjoy Halloween on Salem. The ride was comfortable.

I thought my second visit to Boston should include a boat trip of some sort. Thought about going to Salem on the ferry but will save that for next time. Anyway, I decided to buy a ticket for the historical harbour cruise. It was a beautiful March morning - 20 celsius, the water was a crisp blue and the voyage lovely and calm. We were instructed to sit on the starboard side of the boat as that was where the best views would be. Started with a description of the wharf before moving past the airport. The narration included history relating to all periods of Boston, from its founding to contemporary history.

The boat glided out to spectacle island for a mosey around, past a few more before coming back to towards land. This is when there was ample time to go to the bar down below for a drink but I couldn’t stop staring at the water, the birds gliding low seeking fish and the array of other harbour users.

The trip lasted a hair bit more than the ninety advertised minutes and was worth every penny. Really had a great time and my personal thanks to Nate for his excellent narration.

After doing a sunset cruise from another company and not being able to hear anything (was okay because of how beautiful the sunset was) this was a great cruise. The chairs were all facing the same direction so your attention was always on what was being talked about and the announcer did a great job telling us all the history of the harbor with light comedy. Cruise line was organized and friendly. Got a Groupon so well worth the money!

My daughter and I found this tour very interesting. It was chilly that day so we sat inside the boat, and i am sure the views would have been better outside. But the narrator was awesome. We learned so much about Boston history. He let us know when we approached the Boston city skyline so we could go out and take some good pictures of that. Our only complaint was the other people on the boat who were talking so much we couldn't always here the narrator. So, just a tip for future tourists, when you pay for a guided tour, maybe you should listen!

IT is clear this business has a 100% cancellation fee and no refunds. If travel plans are delayed and seats are available it seems it would be good business to let someone change tickets to another tour. This is common in travel. I don’t recommend businesses who have no flexibility.

Kevin the narrator was the highlight of the tour! The guy loves his craft and he tells the history of the area and the stories of the highlights with passion and flair. It was SUPER hot even out on the water so make sure you bring cover and sunscreen as well as stay hydrated. The boat was big and stable and the only drawback is the chairs are patio chairs. It didn’t take anything away from the experience though. They have restrooms and food available on board for purchase.

We bought a combination ticket with the trolley tour which gave us a bit of a discount. The boats are very crowded with little inside seating and the outside seating is not shaded in any way. The windows on the boat were closed which makes it quite stuffy. The narration over the speakers was hard to hear made even worse by the family sitting behind us who were on their phones the entire tme. The concession stand ran out of water on a 90+ degree day. Although they asked people to social distance and wear masks few did.

Great tour of the Boston Harbor. Ira was a great narrator and really knew his Boston history, we got a lot of great information. We sat on the top deck and were able to see everything from there.

This was a great experience. The tickets are fairly priced, the boat is impeccably clean, the narration of the tour was fantastic. You get a lot of city history (some more historic than others), great views and a good start to learn about the city at the start of a visit. There is not a bad seat, and comfortable indoor seating if you don't want to go outside ( but if you can, go up-top). There is a limited snack bar. We departed and arrived on time. I would do this again. Based on this experience, I would also try one of their other cruises.

We did the 60 minute Historic Harbor cruise and loved it! Because we went in late March while it was still chilly, our boat was not crowded at all which was a huge plus. I can imagine that during nicer weather with a bigger crowd it can be more competitive to get the best seats, so make sure that you arrive well before boarding time to get in the front of the line. The cruise had live commentary (our guide was Liz and she was great!) and takes you all along the major points within the harbor and even points out some of the further out islands. It was a great way to see Boston from afar but also things like the USS Constitution up close. It did get quite windy and chilly, so depending on the time of year make sure that you dress appropriately (and bring a hat if it’s sunny). The boat itself was clean & well-maintained and had a bathroom and bar. We would absolutely do it again and recommend to anyone visiting Boston!

This was our first tourist experience in our first-ever visit to Boston, and I think that it was an excellent choice. It provided a nice 1-hour view of the harbor, which is such a core part of the city, and the narrator/tour guide was just simply excellent. I'd enthusiastically recommend this experience.
