If you are at all interested in learning and experiencing the Amish way of life then book right now!
Philadelphia should not be missed - if for nothing else then all the history at least. After all it is the US 'birth place' and also the capitol prior to DC. The tour after visiting the historic side - which included a visit to the first house of congress, takes you to the famous `Rocky ` steps - a must for all the fans! The absolute highlight for us was our visit to Amish Country and the family farm where you get a buggy ride around the farmland get to see the farm animals up close. We got a chance to speak to the residents of the farm and discuss the Amish way of life. It was informative, educational and above all adventurous. Surprisingly self sustaining community in the middle of no where. Amongst many produce they make fresh cheese in the farm which was delicious. If you are at all interested in learning and experiencing the Amish way of life then book right now!

Extraordinary sights and incredible value !
Having just visited the world’s second largest canyon (Fish River Canyon, Namibia) in March, I was keen to visit the Grand Canyon, while my memories were still fresh. Usually a self drive tourist with a 4x4 and roof tent, this guided bus tour, allowed me to sit back and exclusively take in the grandeur of the sights. Selig, now who has not seen The Cars Movie three gazillion times and would not want to acquaint themselves with the source of inspiration for Radiator Springs ? The Grand Canyon, Antelope Canon Bryce Canyon and Zion National Park - Each so unique and incredibly beautiful! This is one of the most spectacular, trips I have the privilege of participating in. Our tour guide Mark, clearly passionate and enthusiastic about sharing his knowledge was a walking encyclopedia covering geology, history and sharing his thoughts and opinions on a variety of interesting topics concerning the environment. When quizzed, he even answered some questions I had on culture and anthropology. Mark and his assistant Walter, were both attentive to our needs and comfort. The value add was extraordinary, I highly recommend this tour operator. Incidentally, they even came to the rescue by locating a sentimental baseball cap that I left on the bus 5 Star ⭐️ +

Great national park itinerary but mediocre tour implementation
Conceptually Empire Vacations' 3-day tour is definitely great: covering the significant distances to visit Grand Canyon, Antelope Canyon, Bryce Canyon and Zion Canyon without needing to worry about driving and itinerary details is a significant benefit. The potential availability of guides covering multiple languages would seem to indicate good tour design. Actual implementation of the tour, however, was somewhat mediocre. Communication was not great. Achieving booking, deposit and final payment took multiple emails. Empire Vacations did not provide any means of contacting the tour guides or for participants to be contacted, despite a reasonable assumption that almost everyone would have a mobile phone. Throughout the tour, timing was abysmal. On all three days, toilet stops and lunch stops were much longer than necessary. A long time was also spent at a Route 66 junk gift shop and a native Indian craft shop. Consequently, the key stops at the National Parks were more rushed than needed to be the case. The start in Las Vegas was more than an hour late. Every stop would run at least 10 or 15 minutes longer than indicated, not helped by the tour guide Janet repeatedly indicating that she did not mind people being late - so they were. The net effect was that by the time that the overnight stops were reached, any food outlets were closed or closing. There were no issues with two overnight accommodation venues. As the main guide, Janet was friendly but the level of her trip commentary was poor. Little to no effort was made in preparation for each of the national park sites. For example, at Zion Canyon a number of the shuttle stops and tracks were closed. One would have expected the guides to consult the park website and let the tour participants know what was available and what was closed, but they failed to do this. It was also unfortunate that the tour was undertaken with a truck type bus that was particularly prone to unpleasant vibration and noise and at times seemed to be travelling more slowly than other traffic, although there were no issues with the driver. Despite the particularly poor running of this Empire Vacations tour, I am still giving it a "very good" rating. Each of the canyon stops were great to visit and the overall cost of the tour was worthwhile.

Worth for a quick 2 day tour of the East coast from New York .Washington plus Philladelphia
Well organised tour of Philli,WashDC and the Amish County. The tour guide was very informative and made the journey interesting . It was a good insight into the early American History with the impressive personalities of the founding fathers of USA. The overnight stay at Virginia at the Confort Inn was very comfortable with spacious room after a hectic travel on the first day. The coach driver was also patient in handling the rush hour traffic at all the major cities along the route.

      Rushed and over expensive
Too rushed in Philadelphia had looked forward to seeing the city no free time. Multi languages on bus confusing and distracting. As for the “buggy ride” in Amish county turned out to be a rickety farm cart carrying 20 folks around their farm, not as advertised…. I would not recommend this trip

It was nice to get some space & see some history in Philadelphia. I also enjoyed the countryside of Lancaster county. The guide was knowledgeable & interesting.

      Hampton tour
We enjoyed our trip to the Hamptons despite the very overcast and windy weather. There were several language groups on the bus so it was a bit annoying trying to listen to the English while the other guide was also speaking. The guide was very pleasant but not very informative- she did have to translate into German as well. The winery wasn’t ready for us and kept us waiting and the gentleman was not very friendly. The outlet shopping was of no interest to us - we would have rather spent more time in the Hamptons. We would have liked to have had some photo stops along the way.

      Great intro to the Hamptons
"Take the bus and leave the driving to us"-an old advertising slogan, but very true here! Not something you want to rent a car and do yourself. Traffic in/out of NYC is nightmarish!! But our capable driver was up to the challenge and safely delivered us to our breakfast stop at a Panera location. Great food; extremely fast service. From there, on to the quaint local communities on the east end of Long Island. We had about 45 minutes off the bus to explore the Main streets of each of these towns, and then rode the bus past the beachfront estates of the rich but not necessarily so famous (think investment bankers, not media stars!) A stop at a scenic beach to feel the sand between your toes, then on to a whirlwind tasting at a local Winery. Lunch not included, but an hour was afforded in the final small town to choose an eatery that appealed to you. All the while, the very knowledgeable tour guide enlightened and entertained us with details of what we were seeing, delivered with a delightful German accent. The only downside for us...2 hours was alloted to patronize an outlet mall. We have those much closer to home, and would have preferred that time to have been used exploring more local color.

      Mesmerising tour to Niagara falls
We booked a 2 day tour of Niagra falls by Empire Vaccations for the 7th and 8th of September. We gathered at the 42nd Avenue at time square infront of the Port authority station and were received by a wonderful guide Uttar. She was very informative and courteous .The bus tour had multiple stops though the bus had a toilet but they stopped after 2 hrs regularly. Our tour included entry to Watkins Glen State Park where we did a beautiful hike. Then we moved on and stopped at another stop for refreshments. Then we headed for the Niagra falls on the way we crossed the finger lakes the Niagra river and as we approached the falls we could see the rapids upfront.Upon reaching the falls we took a walk upto the falls and saw the horseshoe fall, brides veil fall ,Luna island and the American falls thereafter we checked into Comfort inn at the point which was a part of our itinerary .The hotel rooms were spacious and luxurious. At night we walked down to the falls to see the list up falls and the spectacular fireworks show at pm from the American side .It was just spectacular.Today morning we went to the Observation deck and were spellbound by the beauty of the falls. We took the Maid of Mist boat ride right into the heart of the falls and were awestruck by the beauty of the falls .Then we returned to the bus for our return journey through the New York state giving us the feel of the geography of the place. We loved the tour and recommend it.

Not for Native New Yorkers Who Want Day Trip and Careless Tracking of American Participants
Didn’t like the tour guides. I was left behind and none even noticed. Also this trip is not made for native New Yorkers who want to just get on guided trip out of the city for the day. It’s geared for travelers from other countries. The tours are listed as “bilingual “ but not much attendance is paid to English speakers at all. There were only 2 native New Yorkers and we needed English. Also it’s ridiculous that there were 3 guides on one trip and none knew I was missing but besides that we were dealing with Spanish, Italian and Japanese translators. That’s just too many languages on one tour. When we went in to places there were a lot of other group tours and the guides walked through super fast and several of us got lost within other tours because no one even looked back to check if whole group was following and also it was confusing with so many guides on our trip because they didn’t stay together. Everything was rushed. Also 1 guide didn’t like air conditioning and wanted to keep the bus hot and didn’t even ask others if cold, only said the Italians were. I was happy to get off the bus and go home.

Okai is more than just OK!
Okai and team were absolutely brilliant throughout a long day. The commentary and tour around Boston was informative and pleasant. But for the unfortunate traffic delays, which made for an uncomfortable journey, this would be a 5 star rating!

Moses is a beautiful man on the inside and out! He is oh so funny yet oh so kind and helpful. He loves to joke around so be prepared for some chortle along the way. I absolutely loved amish trip, they had spectacular home made food and lemonade, the amish were perfect humble people. This was oh so amazing. I highly recommend. Do it.

      AMISH COUNTRY DAY
Our Tour Guide Utah was amazing, full of knowledge & very accomadating. Also great at "toilet stops" which i needed lol. The only thing disappointing was that rather than go to the "Amish Village" {which was just along the road} the market we attened i felt didnt give the amish experience apart from the kiosk selling ice cream. I would of loved to of done the proper Amish experience. John who took us the ride in the Amish buggy to the farm was also full of knowledge.

      Not to be missed experience
Services and hotels are great. We had a large 56 seater bus almost full. So ride was comfortable. Stoppages were as required. The falls themselves are of course outstanding. Once in a lifetime experience. Maid of the Mist very good. Not to be missed experience.

    1) First it started with that we couldn't find where bus was in the morning and guide didn't call us even if he (german guide) had our number and could speak german perfectly! Then we called by ourselves, but bus was already gone. For what you have a number when you dont call?!
    2) Secondly, there was no internet in the bus. But we booked full tour and free internet was included.
    3) Thirdly, very poor organisation not only between trips but also inside the bus. So, our german guide was Corona and woman who could speak a bit german put german speaking people to the middle of french speaking and these french speaking were continuosly talking whole the way. For this reason we couldn't sleep and day was exhausted. Poor organisation was also when started trips. We supposed to see air and space museum where we had to spend 2 hours how is it written here in this website. But guide gave us 75 minutes and we couldn't go inside museum at all because of time limit!!! So it was not done how it was written! Because of this short time limit i and my husband couldn't go toilet. Then, we asked italian speaking guide name Andrea if we will do a stop before going New York. He said no and gave us 20 minutes to go toilet in the art museum, which was also stressful running there and to bus back. And then on the way back new york they did a stop!!!

So we give only two stars because german speaking woman gave us hot spot because wi fi in bus didnt work as mentioned above.

We did a day trip to Niagara with another Tour company before Washington and were driving so long way, but that trip didn't do us so exhausted how this short trip to Washington.

Thank you for your review, we appreciate all feedback. We have researched all the items in your review and found that you were late to the tour and the guide held the entire group in order to allow you to participate in the activity. Wifi technology is limited to cell reception which can be intermittent in inclement weather. We are happy to hear that our German guide managed to get service on their personal hotspot and provided you the opportunity to connect. Due to the Air and Space museum COVID protocols and the increased traffic during the holidays we are subject to their availability for our visit. We are happy that you were able to enjoy the city of Washington DC on the tour which operated as advertised and hope to host you again on another tour in the future. Best Roie Empire Vacations

Would really recommend this trip! The length of the trip is a little longer than stated as it is a 4 hour trip from New york to the first stop. However, once at the first destination, the time goes so quick! Total trip was about 13 hours as we set off at 7am and arrived back at 9-15pm.
We got to see all of the destinations as stated and the tour guide was so informative and could answer questions. Our tour guide Eddie was really approachable and gave us all a detailed account of what we were doing and time scales. The main tourist places of Washington is seen in one day. Would deffo recommend!!

Very quick day trip to DC. We hit the mist popular sites while in the city. My only suggestion would be to make the tour of museums 2 hrs to give people a chance to eat and look around. Other than that, it was great. Take water and sunscreen! They do
Stop for 20 minutes a couple hours in and o the way home for food/snacks. We had a great time!

A long day but so very worthwhile. After being picked up at Port Authority Bus Terminal we proceeded through NJ. DE and MD our guide whose name was Joe was extremely knowledgeable and gave a lot of very detailed information as we worked our way through the itinerary. It was amazing to finally get up close with these places that we'd seen so often on TV and movies they more than lived up to expectations. Thank you for making our first trip to the US all the more special it was worth the year's wait we had to endure thanks to the pandemic.

My husband and I booked this trip to Washington DC because I'm in love with history. It was an informative and organized trip. To anyone considering whether they should book this trip or not, you should. Not only was this trip extremely fun and organized but we saw so much in such little time. We got to the bus around 6:10, then we went to the restroom that was in the bus terminal. When we returned we met our tour guides and then settled into our seats. We had a whole day exploring New York City the day before so we were extremely sleepy. We slept for most of the ride, then we woke up in Delaware. We stopped and ate a little bit here, we were there for roughly 30-45 minutes. We got back on the Bus and got to all of the scheduled tour spots. Yeah, you're gonna be on a bus often, but you will have a lot of time to walk around the sites, and take lots of pictures. Almost everything is free except for food, but make sure you eat at the National Air and Space Museum. We got back to New York around 9, there was no traffic on the way back which was nice. It all depends on the day. We went on a Friday, then we took the subway and got back to our hotel around 9:30. The meeting spot is basically in Times Square, so there are a lot of places where you could eat late at night. We ended up just ordering takeout at our hotel and rested.

Thoroughly enjoyed this trip. Our guide was excellent. Was staying in New York for a week and thought it would be good idea to try and see a bit of Washington. Was a long day but i felt it was worth it. I got to see the White House, The Capitol, Lincoln Monument, Vietnam and Korean war memorials, Washington Monument and Arlington National Cemetery. We were supposed to visit the Air and Space Museum but there was an issue that meant we visited the Natural History Museum. This has to be one the best free to enter museums anywhere in the world. You could spend hours in it trying to make sure you seen everything.

The guide who i would say is one of the best guides we have ever had gave you all the history and information about the monuments you where about to see ,we had time to take photographs and take everything in .Another one ticked off our list of places to see.It was a long day about 4 hours and 30 minutes each way with a stop in between. We really enjoyed the day 😊

Full day of visiting interesting places in DC with travel information provided by a knowledgeable tour guide. The arrival process in the morning was chaotic and we were unsure of which bus to get on. Organization very poor upon departure but the rest of the day was flawless.

Meeting point 6.30am. Drop off 9 pm. Long day. Most spent on the bus. Having said that totally worth it.
Being from Australia, we hadn’t originally intended to go to Washington as it was too far out of the way, but after seeing this excursion advertised we thought it was an opportunity to tick a lot of boxes. Guide Armin was excellent very informative and entertaining.
Was great to experience the major stops, Arlington Cemetery inc JFK’s grave, Lincoln Memorial, Vietnam & Korean memorials. Capital Building, The White House, Lunch at the Aerospace Museum.
Awesome to see all these iconic places personally, which are so familiar to everyone.
Downside no fault of the operators or guides……was t selfishness and entitlement of others not listening to instructions about returning on time at the stops……not only making the day longer but those who did return on time were left sitting on the bus waiting and unfortunately there were the same people doing it.

Other than that a great experience.
