A good way to learn about the subject.
Very good. Percy is very knowledgeable and amusing. The walk wasn't too far, but we seemed to visit quite a few landmarks in the city.

    Great Experience
Percy was an awesome tour guide and knew so much about Marvel & DC history. Our kids (ages 10-18) loved the tour as well and were excited to see all of the stops.

    Cold but lovely
A friend and I went on this tour today and it was amazing. Our tour guide (Percy) was energetic, enthusiastic and very knowledgeable! I definitely learned a lot about the area we walked around and even though it was freezing our tour guide was able to keep everyone’s spirits up :)

    Thrilling stories in Greenwich Village
We did the tour and our guide was Luc. It was very interesting and funny at the same time. Lots of information given in an amusing and lively way. It made a difference that our guide Luc is an actor. We learned a lot of New York thrilling inside stories. I highly recommend it.

    Quiet guide but nice walk
Our Tour was disappointing. Our guide seemed stoned. He stopped at some places and gave us some insights about the area. But he kept talking to a minimum and there was a lot of „quiet time“ during the walk. He there where multiple unnecessary breaks. We went in a Buddhist temple. He didn‘t ask the staff if that‘s ok or explained anything. We felt like we interrupted people while praying. Basically we had a quiet expensive stroll around SoHo, Little Italy and Chinatown that we could have had for free with GoogleMaps.

    Great tour
Great walking tour. Our guide Rory was very professional, friendly, and knowledgeable. The 3 neighborhood walking tour is totally worth the time and money.

    Good history tour
First I would like to totally refute anyone who says they couldn’t find the group. The directions are very clear and the guides even waited an extra 10 minutes for anyone who showed up late. Now for the tour-it wasn’t about holiday lights except for the display on Saks and the Rockefeller center tree. The tour was more about history than holiday lights. We found more holiday lights just walking on our own around midtown. So if you are interested in history and stopping for photos at Rockefeller center and shopping at Bryant Park, go for it. If you are interested in light displays go on your own.

I highly recommend this tour to history buffs and a to people who enjoy a quieter very beautiful neighborhood.
Our guide was very friendly and shared a lot of interesting facts and history. It was nice that she gave us about 15 minutes to get a drink or coffee or just explore.

    Beautiful tour of The Village
We absolutely loved this tour of Greenwich Village! Claire was a fantastic tour guide. She was very personable and easy to talk to. She told great stories while educating us on the area and answered any questions that we had. She also helped us get our bearings after the tour so we could find our way to the airport.

A great private tour led by Cecilia, who was there early and was incredibly friendly and helpful, smoothing the whole day for us. She tailored the tour time and the historical information and details she shared with us to meet our preferences, including reducing walking time and building in lots of sit-down breaks to suit our needs. She also shared loads of contemporary information about living in NYC and took some great photos for us! Thanks, Cecilia!

Luke, our tour guide, just exuded energy and was extremely approachable and friendly. His knowledge and the way he articulated everything in his storytelling manner made it possible for my mother, whose second language is English, to understand most of what was being told. The way he ties in previously mentioned historical facts to points later on in the tour was masterfully done.

In addition, Luke knew all the hacks to getting on the ferry early, where to stand, and when to start making your way to the exit. We most definitely used that when we departed Ellis Island after he left us at the conclusion of the tour. Thanks Luke and Top Dog Tours for a wonderful experience!

Joel did a fantastic job of being engaging and informative at both the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island. The sheer size of the statue and the amount of immigrants that came through Ellis Island was daunting. I would recommend this company AND Joel highly.

It was my first time visiting the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island and obviously it can be quite chaotic and confusing. BUT, Abigail was a perfect guide for this express introduction. She has a great disposition and enthusiasm for her job. She also worked hard to keep communication amongst a large group, shortening wait times and keeping the tour moving. It was a great experience and will use experience first for my next NYC tour. Thanks Abigail!

Our guide Percy was very knowledgeable, particularly about the Statue of Liberty. We were surprised to learn that morning that private tour guides are not permitted to give tours inside the Ellis Island facility. However, our guide did provide historical background before we went inside. We spent over $700 plus tip and felt it was worth 1/2 as much.

I'm sorry you feel that the tour wasn't worth the cost. Your private tour guide did help bypass a line where you would have waited for 2+ hours, guided you through the whole experience and made sure you were taken care of with all of your questions answered. It is unfortunate you don't find the value of what was rendered. If you took even a second to read your confirmation email, we clearly state that guides are not allowed inside of the Ellis Island Immigration Museum -- this is a mandate by the National Park Service because their Park Rangers where upset that no one wanted to listen to their 20 min rambling speech. If you have an issue with that I suggest reaching out to Park Service to make a formal complaint.

We had the pleasure of touring Lady Liberty and Ellis Island with Gabi. She was punctual at our meeting spot, and expertly guided us onto the ferry to start our tour. She got us a great spot on the ferry to ensure we got some great family photos - this is wonderful as we will look at these photos and remember our time for years to come. Gabi is very knowledgable and we really learned a lot. We even found our family's name on the wall at Ellis Island! Thank you Gabi for sharing your city with us.

Sincerly,
The Greb Family

What a surprise! My wife, daughter and I scheduled a tour expecting a typical large group of people and consistent struggle to hear the tour guide and what we got was the exact opposite. A private tour with Claire for a patient 4 hours and despite the frigid wind, was absolutely terrific from beginning to end. Claire was so knowledgeable but more importantly easy to talk to and a true professional guide. We walked away feeling like we got the complete story behind the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island. And the topper was finding my great-grandparents names on the Ellis Island wall.

A huge thank you to Claire for a great time! We will see you again on another tour soon!

We would highly recommend this amazing private tour with Luke. He took care to pace the tour as we wanted, and gave us so much more information on the history of the area than we expected. He also navigated us through the tourist gauntlet with the expertise of a professional. 100% would recommend to anyone coming to NYC!

Christine was great for our private tour of the Statue and Ellis. Perfect mix of history and fun for our two teens. As a tip, A reminder to get the audio tour while in the Ellis island museum would have been great. That would have pulled it all together.
