The Ride is so much fun. Not only do you tour the city but become part of the action. The performances on the street were fantastic. I was completely fooled at first and thought they were just regular people showing off. The rapper that team down the street, dodging cars and people while improvising his rap was hilarious. Highly recommended. Note: it sells out fast!

We loved it! Having read recent reviews on here that were definitely mixed opinion, I booked thinking it was something you either ‘got’ or you didn’t, and thought it was the sort of thing we would get. And we did. Such fun, loved our hosts Shannon and Brook, loved the entertainers (the rapping guy was our favourite). My husband said it was his favourite thing that we did in NYC, just because it was so different to the standard attractions. Booked as part of the New York Pass, probably wouldn’t have known about it otherwise.

This tour takes you for a couple of blocks close to Times Square. The two actors on the bus are hilarious and there’s some special appearances (not wanting to give any spoiler alerts). If it’s your birthday, it would be good to pay the additional fee - only if you don’t mind lots of attention. If you don’t like attention, then don’t disclose it!! I would highly recommend to a relaxed and fun-filled tour. Tips: book at least one to two days in advance. This attraction was sold out on the day we arrived.

Went before covid , belly laughed from beginning to end so went back with my friends this week May and was so disappointed. It started with a few laughs but went downhill quickly . The dancers that pop up wasn’t as good as last time .it sent like it was done on cheap and instead of being g funny it was more like getting on a red bus tour , driving around getting info on buildings . I wanted a show more dancers and more fun . After about 20 mins apart from 3 people everyone wS deflated and they didn’t read the room we was sat bored and actually freezing with sor con . Read reviews see if it improves if not don’t bother it cost us direct $79 each , we paid half of that for a circle line cruise that lasted 2 hours with mounds and mounds of info . If you want a fun , theatrical show don’t bother with this . No wonder their was an half empty bud

Superb....just do it ! We only arrived in NY at 5pm and had booked one of the last tours of the day,so this was my first experience to see the sights of NY in the dark. The two hosts on the bus were brilliant. Had a bit of banter between themselves, which had the tour participants laughing. The interaction with the performers was brilliant....mixed in with an opportunity to see NY sights at night. Decent price tickets.....everything costs in NY....this was well worth it.

What a scam. It's a tour minus the actual tour. We repeated on the same couple of blocks the entire time, all while listening to terrible karaoke background music and being sung to by the hosts. It's like that family celebration when your cousin who swears she is going to be famous makes the entire family sit and watch her one-girl show. It was cringeworthy and we felt totally bamboozled. I recommend this to masachists and no one else.

I knew we wanted to do some kind of bus tour of NYC. After reviewing the options, I decided on The Ride. The bus is super-cool and unlike anything I've ever done before. The full windows on one side and stadium style seating are very unique - not a bad seat on the bus! My 11 year old and husband enjoyed the tour as well. The narrative is a little cheesy but aren't they all, on some level? If you're looking for a fun, different bus tour of NYC, The Ride is it!

Just a waste of time and money. Would definitely not recommend this tour. We haven't seen or heard anything new or interesting. Instead the Animators only screamed and sang too loud the whole tour and made silly jokes. It was just so over the top that we were happy when it was over. You spend your time better by walking the streets / Time Square on your own. The only thing that was OK were the dancers or musicians in the streets.

Fantastic & very interesting, Jesse provided us very charming and funny with nice details ans stories of New York, Rene, the driver Lady really friendly. We Loved it!

Absolute joke ! Paid for vip tickets so we could sit in front row to celebrate birthday with kids in nyc. Waited 45 minutes on side of street to be then told the tour is cancelled. Now have to wait another 45 minutes to get refund. Complete joke and totally ruined birthday. Do not book this. Do not !!!!

One of the best experiences. It is a tour that takes you around iconic places in New York. The host is called Scoot and he was so funny and hilarious!

I took my friend on The Ride NYC for her birthday. We sat in the front row and it was great! We enjoyed the hosts and their little NYC facts, had a blast watching the street performers and laughed a lot! If you are looking for a serious history tour, this is not for you. If you want to see a little part of the city, hear some fun facts, and see some performers- this will be just right! The bus is clean and air conditioned - the staff was great - I recommend this little tour!!

usually I'm not leaving bad reviews and i am sorry to say that, but if you are on a tight schedule, better think twice if you really want to block 2 hours for this "experience". it was neither entertaining nor informative that the time spent on the bus and in traffic would justify taking part in this tour. unfortunately the other tourists were overall super quiet and mixed with an entertainer that maybe had not his best day this nearly 2 hours on the bus just felt awful, time was standing still. also I'm not a fan of being presented to bystanders like in a shop window... ofc i should have been thinking about that before. luckily i haven't had to pay extra for this as it was included in my new york pass. but i definitely would not recommend that to my friends. there are better, funnier and more informative walking tours or just get into a hop on hop off bus.

The tour started and ended promptly as described. The tour guide was informative, I learned a lot of facts about NYC. We were asked to show proof of vaccination card, although they only looked to see if you had one (we could've only had one shot or all the shots just as of yesterday). We were also asked to mask before boarding but a couple folks unmasked during the tour, one girl was using a baseball cap to cover her mouth for a short period. The bus is creative/different but it looked slightly beat up on the inside. Despite all of this I would recommend the tour.
