    Don't miss this amazing musical!
What an excellent production! You can see why the show and its performers won awards. The dance sequences were amazing, the costumes were wonderful, the performances were believable, and the special effects were AMAZING! A first rate production!

    Loved, loved, loved!
We came to NYC specifically to see The Great Gatsby and see Jeremy Jordan. It exceeded our expectations. It is wonderful - the cast, the costumes, the set, the singing, the dancing - it was all amazing. I hope more people get the chance to see this with the original cast because Jeremy Jordan and Eva Noblezada are just amazing. No, it doesn't stick strictly on the book's theme but it's a musical not a play so folks should understand that going in. The whole cast came to the stage door too which was so cool.

I’m not a lover of musical theatre but this was a present for my Mum-in-law and partner who both wanted to go. We all absolutely loved it!! Fantastic singers, dancers, actors. Beautifully done. Would thoroughly recommend

    Hard pass
This is a very dated piece of theatre I was so offended by some of the content It was so base and quite depressing Jokes about aids transmission and female mutilation Just NO I can’t say how much I was offended I don’t go to theatre to have this stuff out in my brain This show has had its time and its time to end it Don’t waste your money The theatre also has overpriced snacks and drinks and the chairs are SO uncomfortable

    Great show!
Bought the tickets directly form the theatre before flying into NY City. The Back to The Future musical was fanastic and was the first live musical for the wife. She quite enjoyed it.

Very entertaining musical-loved the two main characters
Show was entertaining with a lot of energy-great music and cast. The main leads were great to watch. Was highly recommended by workers at TKTS, who said he liked it so much, he saw it twice. I would see it again too.

A fun and light hearted show.
Our first time seeing a show on “Broadway”. The show was fun and light hearted and did not take itself seriously. The theater itself reminded me of a theater at Disney World or at a theme park as it was as important to the effects of the show as was the show itself. We bought our tickets through a discounter and were very pleased for the value of the experience.

    Wow! What a good show!
I wasn’t sure what to expect except a lot of singing and dancing and Michael Jackson songs, but I wasn’t prepared for the emotion that came from this musical. Strangely enough, my friend and I both found ourselves crying in several parts of the show, it brought out a lot of strong emotions and it was a very touching musical. This just shows how well the actors did their job and you can feel the pain and the emotions, radiating off the stage. Bravo to all of the actors, singers, and dancers. They were all exceptional and I loved every minute of this musical. They do a great job telling the story of Michael Jackson’s life in the short time they have. Even though they only have two hours to tell the story. I would highly recommend it!

    Must See
This was such a moving musical with extremely talented actors and actresses. We laughed and cried and then repeated. They did an amazing job of spanning the generation ties for Noah and Alli. I can not speak highly enough about this musical production. Watch out Broadway...this is a superstar ready to shine bright!

    Worst Broadway show ever
I had brilliant seats in this lovely theater. Nonetheless, I walked out 30 minutes into the show, the WORST Broadway show I have EVER seen. 1. Actors horribly faked British accents 2. Actors talked with their backs to the audience 3. Dialogue was fast and totally unintelligible, you'll get a headache trying to understand them 4. Hermione character was completely miscast 5. Production had the feel of a junior high school play This was a total waste of $300.

We visited the afternoon of opening day after buying tickets for a show later that night. The docents were always trying to be helpful. The actual exhibits included some costumes of interest and a few rooms dedicated to shows. I particularly liked the West Side Story room. Most of the museum however is made up of walls with photos and historical information that one could get on websites. Some was more interesting than others. The final area was dedicated to videos of the behind the scenes jobs. Overall very good for fans of live theater through history but others may be bored and regret the $46 fee.

This new museum was fine, but not outstanding. The signs are frequently small and hard to read, and other signs telling the story of Broadway are dense fine print. It could have taken hours to go through and absorb everything, but there wasn't a comfortable middle ground for gathering the higher level story of the history of Broadway. In some places there were videos that would have taken a lot of time to watch, wait until the loop started again, and figure out what the point was -- we just ended up skipping many of these. Some of the artifacts (costumes, mostly) were nice to look at, but it kind of felt like B or C level content (e.g. a cast from Dear Evan Hansen from 2022, not Ben Platt's cast from the original cast of the show). There were some areas/rooms that were downright mystifying (hall of mirror rooms, room with exploding juke box) and other areas that are clearly designed to have people take photos of themselves to post on Instagram. If it weren't nearly $50 per person to enter the museum I might not be so picky, but at this price point I think it should be better.

The Museum of Broadway was a wonderful experience. My 18 year old Broadway fan and I (her mom) spent about 2 hours here. It explores the history of Broadway from the beginning through today and has some interactive areas and photo ops. And don’t forget to talk to the guides, many of whom have been in shows or are aspiring to do so. There is music from shows playing throughout. And I was particularly fascinated by handwritten notes and lists, such as rhyming words for Oklahoma’s “Surrey with the Fringe on Top” and ways to think of a day for Rent’s “Seasons of Love”. We were also happy that there were lockers available for our coats since we were there during the January cold. Just a note - discount prices for students and seniors are not available on weekends, and Friday morning is considered the weekend. Overall, well worth the money.

This museum was not yet open when we visited NYC in 2021 but we heard about it via a documentary on Broadway during COVID and decided to add it to our itinerary on our 2023 trip to NYC. I was a bit apprehensive about the admission cost but we love the theater and thought we'd go ahead. Great investment: this museum was so good! It traces the history of Broadway, highlights some major shows that have played here and takes you through a comprehensive view of Broadway. It's not a complete history of every major show or actor to ever hit the stage (that would take twice the space they have here!) but it does showcase a sizable number of plays. We spent four hours there and could have used another hour to go through the basement section that shows the behind-the-scenes work of putting a play together, but we had to leave in order to get to another commitment on time. We would visit this museum again if/when we travel to NYC. Very impressive work!

If you're even the slightest bit interested in Broadway history then this is the place for YOU! I've been describing the Museum of Broadway as "My Disney world" to friends/family. Self proclaimed theatre dork and Broadway enthusiast this was totally up my alley. I will definitely be returning and bringing others. I only wish my father were still alive to enjoy it with me as he's the reason for my love of theatre.

FYI my friends and I took about 2.5 hours to go through the museum and that's not even reading every single piece of information! (so obviously I must return)

What a great addition to NYC! My friend (a true blue New Yorker) heard about the opening of the Broadway Museum and surprised me with a visit during my trip to NYC this month. It was such a lovely surprise! Rooms dedicated to famous Broadway productions, including sets, piped in music, photos, scripts, mementos (like original costumes), etc. And the team managing the flow, each room, and the experience go beyond to help you have the best experience and know all the nuances of each room. I am not a HUGE Broadway fanatic (because I live on the west coast), but even as a person who likes (vs. loves) Broadway theatre, it is a wonderful museum and everyone will see something they relate to, remember, or love.

I just got back from NY Broadway Museum. I was there today I have to say I was walking around at 10:30 am and it was some people not a whole lot. Which was nice since you were not close to one another. The top floor is first and it was all he old history of Broadway 1800s.
That floor was mostly pictures and reading sayings. The second floor had more mannequin and furniture pieces of plays. The last floor was interesting in the sense it is talking about behind-the-scenes staff. Like Gen. Manager, Agents, prop, camera man, costumes, with them talking about their jobs on tv screens. It talked about Vaudeville big name in making plays. Wicked on the bottom floor has a fantastic diorama of what it looks like for a theatre with the stage and upstairs staff working and downstairs working. Very impressive. The gift shop was upscale nothing for me to purchase. I was there for 2 hours and did a lot of reading on the first floor. Bring you camera that is encourages. Big Bathroom for one on the top floor in the middle around the Hair exhibition. I found all the workers there to be very nice, helpful and kind. I did have a problem pulling up my email on iPhone to show ticket. Paige was there and was fantastic helping me out just by looking up my name. Would recommend a visit if you love Broadway.

What a fantastic museum!! Loved it, and it was definitely worth the price of admission. You start on the third floor and work your way through time down to the first floor, with exhibits on individual shows interspersed with historical sections of musicals and plays. Of course I loved seeing the artifacts of various shows, but my favorite part was the first floor, which shows you all the big backstage roles that go into producing a musical/play, e.g., sound, lighting, costumes, stage management, etc. It gave me a much greater appreciation for the army of people required to put on a big production. It's amazing how the intense work of so many people all gets orchestrated to result in a show. I'm now in awe. If you're a fan of Broadway, this is an absolute must-see!

This museum is Broadway lover's dream. The content is very rich and exceptionally well organized to tell the captivating story of our nation's most acclaimed cultural institution.

My family and I have particularly appreciated the "Stage Door" section - a most beautiful homage to all those countless "invisible" professions that make the miracle come alive. (Quite frankly, that was our favorite part.)

And, of course, a special gratitude to the staff who were courteous, helpful (and funny!) every step of the way.

The bottomline: I highly recommend this fantastic place, and we will most certainly be back!

My 15 year old daughter and I had a really great time at the Museum of Broadway! The exhibits, costumes, props, posters, playbills, etc were so much fun to see. The staff was nice and this museum was picture friendly so we could take all the pictures and videos that we wanted! And there was really helpful signage to indicate what we could not touch and signs to indicate when it was ok to sit on something, pick something up, etc. We loved the new Chicago exhibit! Also we were not rushed and because you have a ticket time all the people were spaced out really well so we never felt crowded. Everything was so well organized! Highly recommend to Broadway fans like us!
