Overview
Soak up the festive energy that infuses Philadelphia’s city streets, shopping districts and parks during the holiday season. You’ll revel in the celebratory atmosphere on this 3-hour walking tour of downtown, aka Center City. Listen to a performance by one of the largest organs in the world, explore vibrant Reading Terminal Market and Rittenhouse Square, see a holiday show via a skyscraper’s LED-screen, and enjoy free time at Love Park’s annual outdoor Christmas village. Numbers are limited to 12 for a small-group experience with an informative guide.
Highlights
  • A small-group tour makes for a personal way to discover
  • See the city’s top holiday attractions, on display for only a limited time
  • Hear a live performance of one of the world’s largest organs
  • Enjoy the opportunity to shop for seasonal gifts and treats (own expense)
What to Expect
Meet your guide right outside City Hall and get ready to see Center City’s festive highlights. With just a small group for company, you’ll have the opportunity to explore the sights up close.
First up is Reading Terminal Market: a bustling indoor marketplace and a US National Historic Landmark. Browse the dozens of vendors and grab a bite to eat (own expense), and see the model train that’s only displayed during the holiday season.
Next, it’s a short walk to the Wanamaker Building, which houses one of the world’s largest pipe organs. Settle in for a festive concert experience.
From there, you’ll stroll to Rittenhouse Square: a scenic public park and, for just a few weeks every year, home to a glittering Christmas tree. Continue to the Comcast Building, where you’ll experience another kind of light show, courtesy of its lobby’s soaring LED screens.
The tour concludes at the Christmas Village in LOVE Park, where you’ll have time at your leisure to shop, snack, and soak up the atmosphere.
