Overview
Steamboats played a major role in the 19th century on the Mississippi River, and this tour offers a whole evening of New Orleans fun aboard a paddle-wheel steamboat. Enjoy unique views of the city without having to deal with crowded streets, and save time and money by combining a cruise with a night of live jazz and Creole-style dinner (if option selected).
What to Expect
Your cruise takes off from the docks near Toulouse Street in the French Quarter of New Orleans. Board your ship up to an hour before your departure time. The paddle-wheel steamboat, Steamboat Natchez, is one of the last of its kind in the area.

Once out on the Mississippi River, relax on the outdoor deck or inside in the cabin, and take in views of the city in the distance. As you float down the river, enjoy jazz music performed by the Grammy-nominated Dukes of Dixieland.

If you’ve upgraded your cruise ticket to include dinner, pile your plate full of Creole-style food from the buffet table. The bread pudding is a popular dessert choice.

Your cruise ends back in the French Quarter. If you’re looking for something to do afterward, there’s a booming nightlife scene nearby.

Lovely

We just had to do this as I wanted to actually go on a paddle boat on the Mississippi. A lovely experience and the supper was a good and plentiful buffet, even with food suitable for a non meat eater. Lovely jazz music.

Fun steamboat ride

We loved our dinner and cruise! It was interesting to see how a steamboat worked down in the engine room. The food was great and the music was even better. Highly recommend to at least just experience.

Relaxing beauty of the river!

Such a relaxing tour. Facilities are great, too much food to even mention. Would recommend that you make your way outside before it gets too late - difficult to see from the inside dining area.

I am mixed. I dined because it was a gift from my aunt. If I was booking it I would have opted to dine at a nearby restaurant. The food was good. I only eat poultry & seafood as far as meats so I did not eat the meats... More
