Begin your tour with pickup from a designated point. After a short transfer to Volcanoes National Park, select your bicycle and receive all necessary equipment, including helmet and rain jacket.
Once in the saddle, you ride past lush, tropical rainforests that house hidden, volcanic lava tubes—one of which you can explore on foot. Pass steaming vents, massive craters, and barren volcanic terrain—you may even see lava spilling into the sea. Along the way, visit the Jaggar Museum of volcanology.
The bicycle paths are paved and largely downhill, but if you wish, a support van is nearby for a rest. If you don't want to cycle at all, follow the group on the same trails while riding in the van.
Conclude your ride with lunch and views of the ocean, and then head back to visitor’s center, making a visit to Thurston Lava Tube.
The tour concludes with drop-off at your original pickup point.
