The best thing to do in Skagway
Can't recommend this enough. When you realize you've paid less than the people piling in and out of the buses and also have the freedom to build your own schedule - you realize this is the best possible option for Skagway. Cars are clean, fun and the scenery was unbelievable.

      Great day despite some rain!
Great time. It was a little rainy and I was weary of renting the ebikes but we are so glad we did. We have a fantastic time. Bikes and equipment were in great shape, staff did a great job giving us guidance on where to go and they even have an app that will give you directions. I would rent ebikes from them again anytime. Super friendly group!

      a real adventure...
OUTSTANDING... we arrived a bit early, but arrived to smiles and welcomes, a quick tutorial, and a map and directions, and we were off. easy-peasy, had a great time, no range anxiety, but encountered a significant head wind on the way back, it was a grey cloud, rainy (off and on) day,.... perfect! The bikes were in good order, the team at Klondike was terrific, and the highlights share were right on point. we had a great time.

      Perfect!
We were on a cruise, and did not sign up for any cruise excursions in Skagway. I called KLONDIKE Electric Bikes and their tours were sold out, but they had two bikes I rented. I gave them my name and the bikes were ready when my husband and I arrived! They were the nixed people ever! Gave us a map to follow with a time line so we knew how far we could and keep it under 2 or 3 hours. It was a beautiful day and the bikes were really fun to ride! Would highly recommend Klondike E Bikes!

      Great expereince!
Rented ebikes in Sagway as during a cruise port stop. Rented the bikes ahead of time, everything was so easy! I loved I could rent bikes for different heights- no one size fits all!. Helmets and bike locks were included and the bikes were in great shape and so easy to use! Thanks to Nicole for making the pick-up and drop-off process quick and easy! So friendly and helpful and just fun to talk to! Information on bike route and directions were so helpful!

Klondike Highway Trip via Electric Car
We rented an electric car during our port day in Skagway. This family run business is just top notch. Easy to find, affordable, local owned, great customer service and wonderful people. We rented the car to drive the Klondike Highway up to Emerald Lake, Yukon CA. The car was ready promptly and we were provided with a detailed guide book and binoculars. Highly suggest this for a day trip! We saw so much in such a short time. Absolutely a 10/10 all the way around!! Thank you again to the owner for making our experience smooth and being so helpful. We can’t wait to visit Skagway again. Maybe this time we’ll try some biking.

Leave the tourists behind and E-bike your way to adventure. Klondike Electric Bikes delivers like not other.
I love being in charge and exploring by the seat of my pants, and Klondike Bikes gave me the opportunity to do just that, but first let me add some pretext. Mentally, I decided that my wife and I were going to rent bikes and explore on our own months before our trip in August. As our trip neared, the weather forecast for Skagway deteriorated daily, thus I put off renting ahead of time. Finally, it was decision time. We were in Juneau, and I really wanted to rent the bikes, so I called from the ship and spoke to Nicole the owner and asked if she had any bikes for the following day. She said she had two left, and I asked her if there was a favorable window of time to avoid the potential stormy weather. She said I would probably be good until two or three in the afternoon. I told her I was in, and she graciously told me she'd hold the bikes for me. No deposit or credit card, just a promise. The next day, because of a landslide earlier in the year, we had to take a water shuttle into town, which delayed our scheduled time to pick up the bikes. Didn't matter. I must have called Nicole 3 times as I was searching for her shop and kept assuring her, we were on the way. She was so kind and helpful that I started feeling like an idiot for continuously calling. Finally, we made it, and she was nicer in person than she had been on the phone. I explained to her that I had seen a video on YouTube of a couple of cyclists travelling to Dyea, and that's what I wanted to do. She busted out a map and proceeded to draw out our exact route and all the main stopping points along the way. Her son then took my wife and I out to our bikes to get familiar with the whole pedal assist, e-bike riding experience. He was so cool and patient, which is an absolute must when exposing my wife to something new. 15 minutes later we were off on an amazing 3-hour ride that was spectacular in both the majesty and grandeur of the Alaskan wilderness and the freedom to explore at our own pace. I can't say enough nice things about my Skagway, Klondike E-bike experience, and Nicole and her son. If you ever go to Skagway and have a sense of adventure, you would be nuts not to visit Klondike Electric Bikes. It was amazing!

      Rent a car
We rented a car for the day to drive up the highway. We had a great time. It was totally at our pace - stopped when we wanted for as long as we wanted. The car was very clean and fully charged. The binder was very helpful and had great photos. Thanks to Nicole and her team!

      The best day in Skagway!
The Klondike bike company was fantastic to deal with - hassle free. We booked the e-bikes (2 tandem + 1 regular) in advance so that we could explore Skagway on our port visit during our Alaska Cruise. Everything you need to know is on the website, and the location was so easy to find as you walk from the port into the lovely town. The owners (and their 2 dogs) are so lovely! The bikes were easy to use - even with kids on the back - and the location was beautiful to explore.

      Alaskan Wilderness
Awesome What a wonderful experience, met by Nicole who set us on our way on the E-bikes, and off we went into the Alaskan wilderness 👍🏻 these bikes made it so comfortable and easy and the journey was terrific. Great service and packed lunch. Downloaded App which Nicole helped with worked a treat and off we went on our adventure to Dyea.

      E-bike Self tour
This was our third time in Skagway and we decided to do the e-bikes. What an amazing day. When the ship pulled in the weather was not ideal and I gave Nicole a call to see if we could postpone for a few hours, no problem! After some shopping we walked over and picked up the bikes. We did the self guided tour which was amazing. The last stop is the tidal flats and oh my goodness the views are BREATHTAKING! We rented an electric car last year from this company and drove up the Klondike, I highly recommend that as well. E-bike or car rental you can’t go wrong with Klondike e-bikes!

Rented a car, traveled to Emerald Lake and back
Rented a car, not a bike. Very easy transaction. Got off the cruise, walked to the shop and hopped in the car. Easy as that. Very nice people and the instructions provided in the car were great. It was as easy as she said, go up the road and enjoy the scenery. Rented all electric Mach-e Mustang and had plenty of room for myself (6'1") driving, wife and parents in back seat (parents are a little plump lol). There is even room in the back for a walker. I was really surprised and it was perfect. Recommended.

      They rent cars too!
Rented an electric car from them for our stop in Skagway. The car was pretty new, worked great, was really comfy, and had plenty of charge to get us to Emerald Lake and back. The staff here were very kind and they had a really nice route guide with all the interesting places to stop along the way. I could not have asked for a better rental experience, so glad I chose them. Plus I didn't have to pay for a tank of gas at the end of the day, so it even saved some cash over a normal rental car!

Who needs and expensive cruise excursion, do this instead!
Our cruise ship arrived just one hour before my husband and I were to pick up our bikes. We rode the bus and had no trouble finding the location and had time to spare. We only rented for a 4 hour personal ride, not a tour. We were given instructions as to how to ride the bikes and where to go. I was apprehensive about riding the bikes but found it easy. We had a great ride! Loved it. If you are considering these bikes, this is a great company!

We rented from Klondike Electric Bicycles TWICE! We were in town visiting for several days and the kids thought KEB was one of the best parts of the trip.

The staff was very helpful and professional. Thankfully, they were open even when cruise ships were not in port and they did not mind staying open just a little later than the posted hours so we could get the full hour. Their instructions were clear and helpful for the first-timers.

Our 10 year old couldn't believe he could go so fast (a whooping 20 miles per hour) and my sister-in-law bragged that she "biked ten miles." The bikes are great to get around town. We went to the Gold Rush Cemetery and down by the docks. If we had rented them all day I am certain we could have gotten out to Dyea Flats or up to the Welcome to Alaska sign if we had rented them for the day.

I recommend KEB if you want to see a bunch of places during your visit to Skagway instead of signing up for just one excursion.

You can do this! You SHOULD do this! If you want to see Skagway, sign up for the Klondike Electric Bicycles! But sign up early or you will miss the best parts of this historical town! (I can’t stop using exclamation points!) If you are concerned about being able to keep up with a group on a bicycle, you don’t have to worry. The electric bike does the hard work, and you can choose and change your level to your preference. Nicole and George are incredibly approachable, kind, and attentive. They made sure each of us in our large group were comfortable and ready. We went all over Skagway and stopped at important places from the pier, to in town, to the cemetery, and even a vantage point above town. George loves history and would share cool things about each place we stopped. If you do not take the bike tour you will miss a lot because it is too far and too difficult to walk to most of the places we went. I must add that riding an electric bike for the first time was also extremely fun!

I had the very good luck and pleasure to book a tour of Skagway with Klondike Electric Bicycles. I arrived on a cruise, but this was not a tour arranged through the ship but found them on the internet. The bikes are fantastic and very easy to ride if you can ride a bike. I am nearly 70 years old and had no problems! The owner/guide was very knowledgeable about Skagway past and present and very enthusiastic about sharing what he knows. I recommend this tour very highly for anyone interested in gliding through town, enjoying the sights and learning about what you are seeing - and even panning for gold!

The electric bike tour of skagaway was awesome. We covered alot of ground in 3 hours effortlessly. You can peddle bike, peddle with assist or go full electric with no peddling at all. Walking to all the sights to see is too much on foot. George owner and tour guide really did his homework and gave us a well informed tour of skagaway history, sights and scenery. He really enjoys what he does and made our experience a great memory. You can rent bikes after his tour to go out on your own or continue your own shopping tour on foot. I highly recommend this electric bike your as a must in skagaway. You will not be disappointed.

If I could give more than 5 stars I would! What an amazing experience! My family of five, including our 11, 13, and 14-year-old sons, considered this one of the highlights of our Alaskan adventure. As an active family we enjoy excursions that are a more adventurous form of touring. My youngest kept saying “Mom, this is SO AWESOME!!” The bikes handled so beautifully that even a novice like myself picked it up very easily. Our tour guide Kaylie was very knowledgeable of the town history and we left feeling as if we had a true glimpse of life during the gold rush. We were the only ones in our tour group which was intentional because they want to keep the group size small. It allows for a much more in depth tour. Book with this company - you will not be disappointed!!

We booked a guided tour reservation and it lasted about 3 hours. The owners are so friendly and welcoming! It was so nice to have a guide who led the way and showed us things that you wouldn’t be able to see quite as easy. The bikes are 100% electric so you can either use the throttle the whole time and not pedal or use the pedal assistance. My Dad was a little uneasy to begin with as he has had two knee replacements. He ended up enjoying it and was great at it! You cannot go wrong booking with them. Out of all of our excursions during our cruise, this was our favorite one! If we ever go back to Skagway, we will be booking with them again!

We liked Klondike Electric Bikes so much we rented from them twice! This a better way to get around Skagway than signing up for a single excursion. With a full day rental it would be easy to see Skagway, ride out to Dyea Flats, and even make it up to the Welcome to Alaska sign. If you’re adventurous it’s easy to make your own side trips!

The staff are very helpful and accommodating. They provide easy to understand instructions so that riders young and old can operate the bikes. My 10 year old LOVED it and my sister-in-law bragged that she “biked” 10 miles.

KEB will thrill and excite everyone in you party. E-bikes are a blast.

Thank you , thank you Nicole. What a great day we had in Skagway We rented e-bikes from Klondike Electric bikes for a 5 hour self guided tour. Nicole was great when we called and said we were running late, very accommodating. We received a detailed map as well as a color photo guide for all the sites along the way. I wish we not been late because there was so much to see we could have ridden longer. Along the way to Dyea we got to see the old cemetery, Reids falls, the view of the cruise port from the lookout and so much more. This is a must if you visit Skagway. Nicole is a knowledgeable and gracious host for this incredible Alaskan city.

We booked 10 bikes for our stop in Skagway while on our cruise. The owners were incredible and facilitated us with bikes to fit all the people in our party. We were given a map of the area and directions on how to get to all the great spots around the city. We had the bikes for 5 hours and had time to go to Dyea, the waterfall near the cemetery, and stop at the outpost for a delicious meal and ice cream. It was defiantly the highlight of our cruise. I can not recommend this place more!!! Thank you for being so kind and your wonderful service!

Booked electric bikes to use during our cruise stop. Previous communication was quick and accommodating. Once we arrived to the shop, we were greeted, informed of safety items, shown how to use bikes and walked through an app to help guide us through the best sights in Skagway. From beginning to end, the team was so friendly and interested in our complete satisfaction. Thank you KEB for an unforgettable experience!
