Overview

Get an insider's look at Seattle's food and culture on a walking tour of Pike Place Market. As you walk, listen to commentary from your food-loving guide and fill up on 16 different food and drink tastings, from pastries to produce and coffee to crab cakes. A discount card for the locations visited on your tour is good for one week after your visit.

What to Expect

Whether you’ve chosen a morning or afternoon tour time, meet your guide and group at the Market Theater, near Seattle's famous gum wall, at least 15 minutes before your scheduled tour.

Set off for the Pike Place Market, the epicenter of Seattle's rich food culture. Follow your food-loving guide to the best stalls in the market, where they'll introduce you to winemakers, famers, butchers, bakers, and craft makers of all types.

Hear about the history of Seattle's culinary scene and learn about its bounty of products. Along the way, you'll get to taste 16 different samples of local foods, including clam chowder, fresh produce, artisan cheeses, and fresh donuts. The amount of food tasted on the tour is equivalent to a light lunch.

Walk away with an in-depth understanding of Seattle's food culture and a repeat visitor card, good for 10 percent off purchases at tasting locations.

No water was given. We had coffee with our cheese biscuit at one vendor. An one stop was at a tea shop. We got tea at that stop. I took a bottle of water with me, since we walked to the market from our hotel.

Walking was easy. We sat a couple of times, but didn't really sit until the end. It depends who your guide is and what the weather is like.
