    What to Expect
After making your own way to the designated starting point in downtown San Antonio, meet your guide and receive a safety briefing and Segway lesson.

Operating the easy-to-learn and eco-friendly Segway usually takes about ten minutes of practice. When you're ready, your guide leads you through San Antonio for your comprehensive tour.

As you learn about San Antonio's history and top sights, start off by gliding around Houston Street, which is lined with entertainment venues and restaurants. See UNESCO World Heritage-listed Mission San Antonio de Valero, better known as the Alamo, which was founded by the Spanish in the 1700s. Hear the story of the Texas Revolution and the significance of the famously bloody Battle of the Alamo, which Davey Crockett, Jim Bowie, Colonel Travis and many others fought for Texas.

Continue past the historic red-sandstone building constructed in 1896 that became the Bexar County Courthouse, and admire tis Romanesque Revival architecture. Then cruise through Market Square (El Mercado), opened in the 1820s and considered the largest Mexican marketplace in the United States.

Next up, ride through Milam Park and admire its centerpiece copper-topped gazebo. Then see HemisFair Park, which was built for the 1968 World's Fair. Gaze up at the Tower of the Americas, formerly the tallest observation tower in the country. Stop by the Alamodome, a local sports arena, and visit the Cathedral of San Fernando, built in 1734 by settlers from the Canary Islands and one of the country’s oldest cathedrals. The remains of some of the fallen soldiers from the Battle of the Alamo are entombed in the cathedral grounds.

Enjoy several stops throughout the tour to take photos and hear interesting stories from your guide. Your tour comes to an end with return to your starting point.

We were lucky! The tour before us was a half dozen people. But my wife and I were the only ones for the afternoon tour. So we had a private tour. After just a few minutes of instruction ( that is all it takes). The Segway is quite intuitive. We were off and spent about 2 hours

My son and I did the 2.5 hour tour, and it was great. Robert was very friendly and knowledgeable about the area and history. He explained the culture and tour sites very well.
