George is incredibly knowledgeable and an amazing guide. He was fun and has some some sort of superpower, finding all sorts of bugs, critters and birds on our night tour. With his help (taking all our best photos for us :) we got some great pics and had a blast. I highly recommend taking a tour with him if you get the chance!

We had a big group of 6 couples and we had a great time. George handled the group well and everyone got to see and learn so much. As a guide George is a professional, able to recognize calls and spot birds instantly. Passion for wildlife is real and contagious through this experience. Plus a great host for all things Monteverde, and in general a fun companion for your trip.

We did both a birdwatching and a night tour with George and had a wonderful time on both. The weather was raining and windy for our birdwatching tour but we saw so many birds and got some fantastic photos. George is enthusiastic and passionate about the flora and fauna and enjoys sharing his vast knowledge with us. He has a great collaborative relationship with other guides and that was really helpful on our tour. Our night tour experience was also awesome. We saw and heard so many fantastic creatures. It is awesome that he prefers smaller groups so everyone gets the best experience.George spoke fluent Spanish and English on our tour. We would highly recommend him for your tour . I would highly recommend Jorge as a bird tour guide for anyone from a novice birder to an expert who just needs a guide for local knowledge. He also enriched the tour with information about plants and animals other than birds in the area. And finally he gave some great tips for additional days during our vacation.

Jorge was fantastic! We went on a private tour in Monteverde Reserve with Jorge. We have two young kids (1 and 4) and Jorge was so wonderful and patient with our kids and our slow pace. Our kids loved him and the youngest wanted to hold his hand during the hike. Jorge is incredibly knowledgeable and was able to show us lots of birds, animals, nests, etc. He knows so much about the cloud forest and it was fun to learn just a bit from him! Highly recommend Jorge as a guide!!

Elbert was our guide and he saw things we would never have seen on our own. The diversity of both flora and fauna is all around you, but it takes an expert to fully explain what you are seeing. With his help, we had a great 2 hour stroll thru the cloud forest.

After visiting Monteverde five times, I am convinced that George is the best guide you will find in the area. I used George as a guide for a solo trip a couple of years ago, and most recently while traveling in Costa Rica with my 15-month old and my mother and her two friends. George was so helpful with my baby, carrying my backpack while I carried my babe in a carrier. He was patient with my elderly mother and her friends, allowing us to rest and take a break when needed. He made sure our tours were accessible to my mom and her friends, while still seeing some of the most beautiful birds and animals. George was our guide for hanging bridges, a night tour, birding and a walk to the Continental Divide. He is a very talented photographer, so he will get great photos of you and your family and all of the beautiful things you see. George is well-loved and respected in the community, which means when you come across other guides on your treks, they will tell him the location of where they have recently seen the hard to find animals, like the quetzal! Every time I visit Monteverde, I see new beautiful birds and animals because George is on top of his game. 🦜🌱🐍🌳🌙🦋

George our guide was knowledgeable passionate and very friendly. We did three walks with him night and morning. He showed us all the highlights of the Cloud Forest and the Monte Verde area. Highly recommended.

Amazing tour! We saw so many birds with George: Toucan, Quetzal (two of them in one day), lots is hummingbirds, etc. He is very knowledgeable about birds and nature in general so any questions he will be ready to answer. Very well spoken English as well and everything is really well communicated and explained. If you have a car, he can also take you to other spots in monteverde for bird sightseeing. Highly recommend you book the tour with George, it’s really worth it!

George was kind, funny, and had such a wealth of interesting facts about the intricate relationships in the cloud forest. Also, hummingbirds are my new favorite animals thanks to the hummingbird gallery !! I loved this experience so much-I'm debating whether I enjoyed Monteverde even more than Corcovado!
