The Aquarium shows typical Canarian species such as gilthead seabreams, the golden or Fulas, reptiles like turtles (Caretta Caretta); eye-catching colorful tropical species with manifold forms like clown fishes, blowfishes or hermit crabs, they are all part of the collection of species at the Aquarium of Lanzarote. Visitors also can enjoy a variety of sharks in our underwater tunnel and central tank with 500.000 liters of water.
We also have 3 interactive pools for adults and children, where you can observe the species from up close and learn more about little known animals such as sea cucumbers and sea urchins.
Lanzarote Aquarium's goal is to bring the marine world to make those who want to enjoy the wonders that the sea offers us, and enjoy a moment of escape while plunging into the depths of the sea. They never forget the importance of environmental education in the future of our seas and oceans. That is why, they have created what they call the "aquarium garbage", a small recreation of the current status of certain areas of Lanzarote's coast, in order to promote environmental awareness that allows a life at sea continue without the dangers of pollution.
