What’s a wonderful and beautiful church in Cholula we found Santa María Tonantzintla could be one of the most enchanting places of worship ever constructed in Mexico. Located just six miles from downtown Puebla in San Andrés Cholula, the 17th-century church uniquely fuses European and...More

With so many unique churches in Puebla, this one is not to be missed. Beautifully preserved and lovely architecture here. You can take a local bus which will take you to the heart of Tonanzintla. Everything is within short distance by foot. Must see!

Of all the churches I've visited in my travels, this has to be one of the most remarkable. It is not the tallest, or largest, or most gilded or any of those things, but it is a marvel of Mexican Baroque ornamentation. Many folks might...More

As stated by others... you will never see a Catholic Church like this. If you are into symbolism... you could sit here for hours. Take a taxi or Uber, for sure.

One of the most beatiful churches I have seen. All contructed by our Mexican indians, you will find our own people and ancient symbols and gods mixed with the catholic ones.

Consider this a must when visiting Puebla. Even better than fancy and shiny gold,a proof on the merge of two cultures could be witnessed and would replace the perspective on how traditional colonial architecture is all about Puebla art tourism. Flowers, fruits and plumes would...More
