Except for the bored and non communicative staff at the gift shop, everything was beautiful and interesting. The location is beautiful.

This is good for a quick afternoon visit. Not very big but really interesting. Great drinks from the distillery afterwards at €2 a throw.

We watched the lorries of sugar cane unloading & being processed into juice using the most primitive & basic machinery - & then got a free tasting of a few different rums at the end, and some delicious lemon poncha (€2). Well worth it if...More

Nice journey to Porto da Cruz (Windsor Travel) and then a short informal tour of the rum making premises. The history was interesting and the tasting well worth it (for me anyway). Nice we shop with bottles at a good price. The sugar cane biscuits...More
